- Like most AirPods owners, I love my headphones. They are convenient and sound great but sometimes, there are situations that call for something different. The Bose Tenor Frames Audio Sunglasses certainly are different and provide a unique perspective in the way we listen to audio. The real question is can these replace my AirPods?

Note - These are similar to Bone Conduction in the way it feels when listening to music but the technology is different.
This is perfect for us Marines we can walk and hear music (we can’t have air phones or answer calls and walk while in uniform) at the same time. My prayers have been answered, I can now wear my sunglasses (look cool, protect my eyes and listen to music while I’m uniform and working outside AND I CAN ANSWR CALLS WHILE WALKING IN UNIFORM ON INCOGNITO!!!) This is perfect !

This makes me chuckle. I was in from 2002-2007.
2002: You couldn’t have your cell phone with you while you were in uniform. Like, you couldn’t even have it in your pocket. If you got caught, you’d get chewed tf out.
2007: You were expected to have your cell with you at all times (excluding PT). If you didn’t answer a call from your command, you’d get chewed tf out.

this is perfect for the beach, hiking and being active, especially enjoying the sunset. Its really great especially when out hiking as you can play anthems to suit the scene without blocking out the natural sound around you. Really cool tech

For me as a nurse this is perfect. Swap out the lenses for 15% tint and bam! Can't get in trouble for having earphones in my ear. It wont look unprofessional and i can have my tunes hovering around me.
They do offer prescription lenses, not just sunglasses
For the tenor? I have them for the altos and didn't see the tenor prescription.

I got these on sale cause they were basically the same as some of the high end glasses, really needed to replace my Oakleys after a few years and I’m loving them
I wish they sold these default as prescription glasses at an eyeglass store. Seems like a very obvious market Bose is completely missing. First off frames are covered by insurance if you have it, so at the minimum it would subsidize these. Second I’ve found it that not all insurance companies will pay for fitting lenses that come from an outside source.
It’s crazy that there’s plastic eyeglass frames that cost as much as these that are functionally superior. Even if mom and pop eyeglass stores carried these as possible frames I’d jump on board in an instant.

I bought a pair of these today and love them. I bought them to wear while riding my motorbike and they work perfectly.
They're not loud enough, and they're not the clearest sound, but it's the best thing h I have found by a mile.
Air pods fall out and roll around my ear when I put my helmet on. They're terrible.
Would I buy these again tomorrow.... absolutely.

I got Bose frames from winning a contest. I only use them at the park. On a sunny day. Still use my Galaxy Buds+ the most. Until those black AirPods with surroundings on comes out.

Question 1: are they heavy/bulky feeling or do they feel normal?
Question 2: does the audio leak? Like if you walk past people would they be able to hear your music
@@natesavoie8264 don’t feel heavy and yeah if there cranked up super high and ur like in an office setting people around can hear it a little bit but overall not at all.
They work amazing for mobile detailing I can protect eyes hear my surroundings and hear my favorite music. Battery life could do better but they are still great sunglasses when the battery dies
There is a good aftermarket for lenses in these. Be cool to see a follow up video.
I'd like to know about how well the lenses stand up over time/scratches
and do the electronics continue to function normally

You can find lenses they are like transitions for these. Light to dark as you go near UV. I’ve done that with mine.
Where'd you get them
I use the Altos as prescription glasses and the speakers are super convenient when I don’t want to reach for my AirPods, like when need to take a discreet call.

My Bose headphones lasted 5 years and I treat them like shit nowadays 😂 no brainer, these are awesome!
I think its a cool idea! I’d buy it, if they have a clear lenses option & I’d pop in a dark shades on! That could work for me!

I play Google maps when walking threw the city on vacation with music works great. Plus block the sun
Think I would mainly use them on vacation at the pool and on the beach

3rd part lens manufacturer makes them. I ordered a pair of clear lens that gets dark in the sun from Revant Optics. Pretty nice!

I get your point completely about the advantages of smart glasses versus the discomfort of Airpods inside your ears. I have used the Amazon Echo Frames version 1 and version 2 and they are really appealing for precisely this issue. I am not a audiophile so the shortcomings in music quality don't concern me and the advantages of comfortable long term wear, with a smart voice assistant built in, far outweigh the negatives of the sound quality for music. I would love Apple to release smart glasses where you don't have to have Airpods-like devices stuck in your ears all day. I think a lot of people if they tried it would find it very appealing. There is definitely a market to cover this issue and I am sure Apple would nail it over Amazon if they bring out smart glasses

@@t.terrell7037 Unfortunately, never tried Bose but Amazon Echo Frames 2 are quite good but only fall down a little bit with the lack of really close smart phone integration

I slapped my lenses from my prescription and 97% fit wow what a Coincidence!!!

Just found a pair on the beach! They were sitting on the wall by shower, filthy as if someone found them and set them there! Lucky me! I cleaned them, googled them and OMG $249! Broken of course? Dead battery? Nope! Battery was 100% and they sound AWESOME! WOOHOO lucky me!

Not bad. I’d have to audition them for sound quality. Not a huge fan of the wayfarer look, but… I’ve tried exercise walking with AirPods Pro and it’s a fail for me. The audio ducks with every foot strike. Don’t know how else to describe it, but it’s def off putting.
Bose quite Comfort earbuds are great. Sound is very good and if you get the right fit they stay in when I ride my bike or go to the gym.
I don't think these are meant to please anyone who's an audiophile (who should stick to studio quality cans), but only for those who want to get around, be immersed in their environment and yet have audio layered (but not inducted) in. But for those who get distracted easily when they can't hear something clearly, this is not for them, for safety reasons, even when walking. I enjoyed them but found that for the most time, I had the volume up at about 90%, and for that reason alone, I knew it won't meet my needs for a typical outdoor bike ride or run. The upside is that if I didn't mind the amount of loss, they wouldn't run the risk of popping out of my ears when riding, and disappearing into the dirt!
PS: My Airpods Pro are fitted with custom foam earbuds, so they are pretty snug. I lose them usually when they slip from my hands! 😆

Spot on. I enjoy reading the comments on videos like this just to see the absurd, idiosyncratic "use cases" that the average schmuck thinks should exist JUST for them. You don't want to get hit by a car? Try paying attention to where you're walking. We grew up with a Walk-man and headphones without all the "wipe my ass for me" tech, and we all survived just fine.
I found them tinny with little bass and barely enough volume. For the price, I passed and returned them back to Bose.
Yes, i’m looking for a frame like this. I don’t like to attach something on my ears, especially when receiving a phone call.
Why bose ? Already recognized for the sound quality
Problem :
How long can the frame standby connected to the phone and receiving a phone call ? Since i wear glasses for daily activity.
They lasted me just under 6 hrs today. Charged up for 1 hr and good for the rest of the day. Problem solved
They are epic for outdoors ect. Great sound.

They are perfect for blind users.

These look nice, better looking than AirPods and probably won’t fall out as easily. I would have to hear the audio quality first but considering by the poor quality of AirPods, I would probably buy these.

This is quite useful for blind people, my grandpa is blind and got a pair, he can answer calls or listen to some music without losing perception of the environment, he doesn’t feel safe walking with his AirPods.
The big problem is its battery capacity, it only lasts a couple of hours.
It’s rated for 5.5hrs which is on par with a lot of other headphones really.

They don't work after 6 months. I had to go to bose service center multiple times, got it replaced for free but then again did not turn on after 6 months. Went back again and told me that you need to buy a new one and it failed due to hardware error.
I recommend not to buy Bose Frames.

I used to work as an apprentice optician at Lens Crafters. I would never purchase these. I’ve adjusted at least 1000 pairs of glasses and these look like a nightmare to adjust. My store would have most likely turned someone away if they asked us to adjust them. No matter how well you take care of any pair of glasses, they will always get loose over time. They have no nose pads and they’re heavier than a regular pair. So when they get loose they will be sliding down your nose A LOT more than a regular lighter pair of glasses. The arms can not be heated up and bent for a snugger fit because of the tech in the speakers. So they’d only be able to be bent in inward at the nose bridge. But overtime they will need to be bent at that one location that they will either snap, or they’ll lose their aesthetic appeal cause they would be bent into almost a V shape at the bridge. I guess the main use case I could think of is for motorcycle riders. Bluetooth speaker helmets are very expensive and helmets should be replaced after a year or so. And no matter how loose they get, the helmet will help them stay in place. Other than that these seem like a nightmare.
