Tried some today, the sound is incredible actually. Good work Bose.
Great review, thanks :)
Nice clean review! Thanks
Love to know about the microphone and calling features
Kudos on this topic. I really like your presentation style.
There's an update where you click and hold the button, turn your head left or right to adjust volume. Pretty good.
You need to review the communication also, like mic. How you sound to others etc.
Michael Maione I can tell you that they sound pretty average. Mic picks you up well enough, similar to Apple AirPods. Sometimes in a loud environment though others can be hard to hear and it’s more rare but possible others will have trouble hearing you (in the mentioned loud environment)
Really wish that the Rift S had an audio solution that worked as well as the Bose Frames. Every roommate in my dorm can hear the smallest sounds from my games from that thing when I'm using it 😕
I just got these. For those who want to know about calling, it's fairly simple. The microphone is about on par with what you would get from the phone, but it has no wind protection. As for controls:
When a call comes in, you've got two options. If you press the singular button on the glasses once, it is answered on them and uses the microphone. IF, however, you answer it on the phone, then the call goes through your handset and uses your phone's mic. In either situation, the glasses resume business right where you were when the call is done, whether you had audio going or not. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. As a blind person I bought these for travel, and they are a great piece of kit.
Also, if big bass and full low-end are a must for you, then look elseware. That's not what these give you, they're much more utilitarian.
The speakers need to be behind the ear in the ear piece/temple tip, that would give more room for the batteries and balance the glasses better. The bones and cartilage behind the ear are very good at conducting sound, and I think can aid in improving the bass with a little tuning for resonance.
Dammit, someone already made something like I'm talking about. OptiShokz are pretty close to what I had imagined in my head ... 6hr battery life too!
Bone conduction requires relatively more force than what normal speakers need for moving air, but it could be a way to add more of an impression of bass to these.
so it doesn't beat the neck speaker
Got one on sale link with my iphone and use the waze and this thing is really works! Sound is clear and dont have to worry about peaking on your cell because you can hear directions clearly! Measure your eyeglasses or your face before you buy one
They lack a lot of bass until you cup your hands over the rear sides then it's great. I guess I'll try to come up with a solution for this
Hi, I wear prescription glasses so could I change the lenses with the glasses
Thanks for review
Actually listen to the video, he answered your question.
I honestly wish they were just clear plastic in the middle cuz I always look dumb with sunglasses on
i need an Rx for my glasses
everybody loves Raymond
wahahaha my first impression as well
Everyone loves RayBan
I thought the exact same thing 😂
I thought he looked familiar although I’ve never seen the series.
@@vondahe OMG!!!!! This is so tragic. This is pure comedy gold. If you ever have time to waste please just watch one episode... I promise you will be hooked. I don't like TV a lot, but I probably watched every single episode of Everybody Loves Raymond.
Dont expect heavy bass music sounding good but its actually awesome for on the go. I put transition lenses in mine. When I go to any store I listen to music or howard stern instead of being pissed I'm in another stupid line. I was skeptical at first but I honestly love mine. 200 isnt bad considering I was gonna buy another pair of ray bans for over 140. I hope theres a gen 2. I doubt it, but I can hope. It has google assistant which is great also. Sometimes in the car I leave my radio off and keep the lenses playing. I dont know why these are so enjoyable. I use the new power pro beats primarily for listening to music or sports/grass cutting but the lenses for going on the boat / most people dont know they are smart glasses either. I had google glasses and I looked retarded/everyone stared at me. Nobody looks twice at me with these on until I start talking out of nowhere to answer a call.. and even the call quality is good my friends couldn't tell I was on a headset while in a public place...
Sorry for the english I only made it to grade 9
So.cool. planning to buy one and you dont have to worry. You are very much understandable. 😊
Very useful - thanks for the mini review. Definitely gonna get myself a pair.
Can people around you hear your music from the Bose?
Can others around you hear the music you are listening to?
I tried these on w/ my friend in the store and we couldn't hear the music when the other person put them on, but the person wearing them felt like they were in the middle of a movie with a soundtrack

Marylee Witham For real? That’s incredible.
I have these and they rock.
Is it One size fits all? Can you make them fit you so they dont fall if you look down?
you failed to mention can everyone else hear whats being played ?
I'm wearing my Rondo's now, and I disagree with the lack of base. I have AirPods, some bose QC's (about 5 years old) and quite a few other pairs of headphones and the bass is almost as good. If you are busy they are fine. If you are not doing a lot then you can cup your hands over your ears and they sound way better. Bass is better than I thought it would from seeing these reviews that mention it is bad.
Can I change to prescription lens?
What's the a by swer on this...?
Glasses USA offers Bose frame Rx lenses. It does void the warranty though
"They sound pretty good... with one kinda major caveat"... dead
Do the frames have google assistant or Siri built-in?
according to gearbrain they work with google assistant
Razvan Constantin On iOS? 🧐
They do work on android. Sound is ok but no bass. Interesting tech but not a good replacement for headphones and cool glasses.
Are you the only one that can hear it or is it like when moulinyan have there speaker on or FaceTime in public?
No bass is a major issue when talking about Boss quality. Just saying.
Yeah
If they make it bone conductive in the next generation...then I guess a lot of problems will be solved regarding bulkiness at the sides...
Perhaps, but it really has to be done right. Bone conduction can be imprecise, and the experience will be incredibly inconsistent from person to person. Some people experience fatigue and headaches from bone conduction over long periods too, so there’s always that to overcome. Right now, traditional speaker and sound conduction technologies are more proven and more consistent.
Yeah, I definitely prefer the sound of the Frames to bone conduction.
I stopped listening at "lack of bass" :-) .
Thanks for the nice review, man
Life will be movie. Not music video like headphones
too big for me, but with a nose pad, its ok now, very short battery life, dumb charger cable
Looking forward to them advancing them to the android.
3.5 hours play time? No thank you. Nice short review. Thanks.
I liked your review BUT you failed to talk about sizing differences in the models at all, which seems to be a pain point for a lot of folks per the BOSE blogs. That's the only reason I clicked on your video, and I was disappointed you didn't speak to this.
real shame they dont look great on most faces. both options feel like they are designed for women
Bateri tak tahan lama..
3,5h no thanks.
Great, now I don't have to hold my phone against my head to develop a tumour!
Andy Jarman Bluetooth doesn’t cause cancer
brain cancer ?!! should i worry about that ?
Free IS-BE no, there is no evidence of this
You get more brain cancer risk by just being out in the sun for hours.
🤣🤣🤣 first worry about your cell phone then we can nitpick
Man these are so overpriced, the whole sunglass industry is kinda fucked coz of luxxotica
