I can tell John 5 plays that banjo lick every single time he picks up a guitar
10 out of 10 guitarist play the same lick every time they pick up the guitar. What was your point? That you are better?
@@jasonbone5121 My point is that you don't get simple jokes, comments, or observations

I recently saw John 5 and everything he plays live sounds exactly like in the studio. He’s purely amazing
Saw him last year myself. Everything you said is true.
Hahahah that’s my uncle!
John Kirtley ?
RisCannon Yep!!!
RisCannon seen him live a few times, amazing guitarist. Also a really down to earth guy
I like it how John 5 lets his guitar do most of the talking on his interviews
Not sure that everyone truly realizes the colossal amount of hours, years, and deliberate practice John does on a daily/weekly basis to achieve this level of comfort and competence in almost every genre of guitar music. I can't think of too many other current masters of the guitar with this level of diversity. It's remarkable.
Well the Doo can play like anything
Yeah, I agree. That diverse range is definitely his signature. I'd really like to see Yngwie do a dark frontier country album though.
Buckethead :)
He does years of practice on a daily basis?
@@DiarrheaBubbles he said daily / weekly.
Loudwire must realy love John 5. You've made so many vids with him
I think this Is a part of an interview. They release different segments of it for a easy video randomly
I wonder what Corey Taylor thinks about this...
They're giving Corey Taylor a break 😂
WE love John 5. As long as Loudwire loves us, they’ll keep with the John 5 😂
He's not just a great guitar player, but just an awesome and friendly human being. You try talking to a guy twice as famous and half as good, they are usually cuntbags.
How people do their list of top guitarist and miss him is unreal!! He is a top 10 all time since he is one of the only guitarist to play and shred every style of music on every type of guitar as a complete master!!
I saw him in concert on a solo tour, met him, man he is such a pleasure to talk to. He is as genuine in real life as he is in every video.
SlapMyBass3825 I have met him at a festival and he spent a good 5 minutes talking to us and taking pictures. even when his people told him it's time to go he told them " when I'm done here we'll go". Amazing guitar player and amazing rockstar that loves his fans.
I went to high school with John. He is absolutely genuine. He literally DOES let his guitar work speak for him. He worked his tail off to get where he is, nobody handed him anything. He was going to Harpos and wearing a wig playing heavy rock, while his day life was in penny loafers and short hair.
He started out John5 but he is so good he is like John20 now. Phenomenal player.
John-117
John 314?
Les claypool and john 5 should form a super group
That would be exhausting...but great!
Absolutely yes
They can call it ClayJohn Pool 5
Who else to complete the superband? I suggest Devin Townsend for vocals and maybe some guitar, and Danny Carey on drums
zach hill on drums
I have massive respect to guitarists that acknowledge the skills of bluegrass musicians. They’re extremely fast and don’t rely on computers and production to create the sound.
John is amazing, maybe more amazing is his humbleness and respect of all musicians and genres, even respect for DJ's.
He really loves to play the guitar. I think in an interview John had said that his wife often complains that he takes guitar playing to unhealthy levels. But at present he is the most unique guitarist on the planet.
@Android Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
The fact that he pays homage to Roy Clark and Glenn Campbell is legit!
Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed too.
You can tell this guy has a guitar in his hand at any given moment of the day. He's a great testament to the rewards of constant practice, discipline, and wild talent. I like the fact that he brings an open minded approach to the instrument. His tastes are really varied and interesting, and he doesn't let the fact that he's deeply entrenced in heavier music genres to blind him to the fact that there is great music out there beyond the pale if metal.
Would love to hear him do Dillard and Clark 😊
big fan here of John 5 a seriously underrated guitarist who has monster chops and very humble guy too. Plus the dude shreds on a tele for metal how cool is that and can play banjo.
If John died tomorrow we'd all be like "He was a fucking legend! One of the best rock guitarists of our time." So before that how about lets just appreciate him for his talent and skill right now.
Yeah well fortunately it won't be one of those stupid deaths if it does happen as I believe he doesn't even drink. He definitely doesn't use drugs. Drugs seem to be the thing that take a lot of great musicians.
That’s why I go see him every chance I get.
Cool guy. He gives respect to all guitar players
I wish I could play guitar so good that it was actually an unpleasant experience for the audience.
Legend.
John's ringer is literally the Shower Scene's score from Psycho. I want this man as my friend now.
I’m late to the John 5 appreciation party, but he is super fun to watch. I suck at guitar, but love watching all genres of guitar music, and am just blown away that one man loves the instrument so much that he can play every genre and loves to play everything
One of the absolute best guitarist John 5!!! Never could figure out how when he plays someone else's song how he gets the perfect tone and everything right all the sudden when he plays something like ac/dc and then suddenly change it to something like rage against the machine.
4:38 It doesn't need to be metal:
HORROR RINGTONE INTENSIFIES
Lol
lmfaoo
That scared me he's very talented
One word, Genius! I've saw him many times front row. Met him, the guy is sooo damn cool and easy to talk to. Without a doubt the Greatest Guitarist we know of today !! Stay safe J5!
Just saw him for the first time at a local club here in NJ
my wife and I (both 62) loved it! Master showman and top shelf player.
Every time a new video comes out of John just jamming he gets better and better. John is the actual poster-boy for practicing and what it can do for you if you do it all day every day.
Wow...John has a 15 yr old son....how time flies.
@Øli Macabre I'm 52...I'm very well aware of everything Manson. I've been a bass player since I was 15 yrs old and still doing it. Time flies faster as the years go by.
John 6?
This is late, but he's a grandpa now
I could listen to him play all day long. Just a genius
I’ve watched all this before and it just blows me away what a guy John is. He is a true treasure in the world of music.
I've been binging John 5 vids for the past few days- What a great, humble guy. He just wants to play.
One of my favorite guitar players of all time ! He is really a true GOAT !
Absolutely one if the most underrated guitarists of this age, he shows such an amazing control and training on all of this genres, a total monster. 🤘🏻
Underrated by whom? You?
Got to do a meet and greet w John 5 a few months ago. Started listening to him and following at a young age. Got to watch him front row at three zombie concerts. The man was so incredibly humble, sweet, kind..took time w everyone made conversation. Lives to play, such an amazing player, and just a great human being!
John 5 and Buckethead can play anything.
They need to make an album together.
As a man of the same age as john5 it's soooo nice to see someone out there showing the youngsters that all the heavy lifting Is worth it...of course talent helps😎
John 5 is one of my favorite guitarists. I wish I had a teacher so he could teach me.
I remember back in the day being a manson fan and seeing him play live for the first time on the DVD I had. I knew right then and there I wanted to play the guitar and over a decade later im still playing
What a great guy he reminds me of most of the folks I grew up with in the Midwest, down to earth and easy to talk to. Great video! 🤘🏻✌🏻
Wow, as a lifelong musician, John 5 is incredible. Dedication to his craft is off the charts !!! You are the man. Move over Eddie
Roy Clark kicked ass and that's probably what John 5 remembers. I know I do.
I love anything that he plays, awesome stuff
John 5 is such an amazing guitar player he makes it look so easy
So much I didn't know about John, he is AMAZING!
Love the jacket.
The first tune has that Roy Clark Jr vibe to it if anyone has seen Hee Haw you would understand why he created this fun little diddle.
It is basically chet and jerry version of cannonball rag.
I don't understand why John 5 isn't recognized as one of the best guitarists of all time. It's always Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, who are of course legends. But John 5 needs to be part of that list. He plays so many different styles and the speed of his playing is mind blowing.
John 5 Master of the Telecaster!
No, that would be Roy Buchanan.
damn it....I still cannot unhear or unsee Graham.
the twang song was w/e. the second sounded like Rob Zombie remix.
A very Happy 51st Birthday John William Lowery. July 31, 1970 Born in Grosse Pointe, MI. Perhaps the most versatile guitar play alive. He can play almost any style. Even Spanish / Flamenco on a Hello kitty guitar.. Many more John William..
That right hand is so relaxed. Amazing!
The first guy from marilyn manson who end up in something better
I hope he is continueing and keeps going his way
Fr
He is the new guitarist of Mötley Crüe!
I absolutely love it you just can't put this guy in a box he transcends so many genres... way to go John
"It's that kind of thing".... DUDE!!!!! That kind of thing kicks ass!!!!! Amazing!!
I love when he's playing an obvious full-on shred solo, then out of nowhere he'll throw in a country cascade
Mr. Atkins would be thoroughly jazzed by John5.
I have been really impressed with all guitar playing I have seen with John 5. After almost 50 years of guitar, I know when I see a virtuoso.
Saw him at White Oak Bar in Houston TX w/ Marty Friedman from Megadeath this year. Marty Friedman's band was on FIRE!
John 5: tunes guitar
Reporter: INCREDIBLE
Jk Id probably have the same reaction
tackywacktack aka Batman Squiggy is impressed with paint drying.
Lol but as a guitarist myself that's pretty spot on lmao
😂😂😂
I went to a Rob Zombie/Marilyn Manson concert and John 5 ripped the absolute most insane solo I have ever heard... must have been 3 minutes of him just jamming out... insanely cool!
By far one of the greatest guitarists still living on planet earth. I wouldn't be able to sit across from him and not be wearing a smile listening to him play.
I keep picturing Super Mario on a run when I listen to this😂 amazing guitar job ! Seems like a nice dude too!
(To the title) We all knew that
I had the pleasure of meeting him before the Zombie show in Manchester in 2011.
Amazing guitarist!
KoRnBaKo how much they charged you to meet him? Or was it a chance encounter?
@@RedWolfDrift2000 Chance, he just came off the bus and was walking into the arena. I also met Joey Jordison before the show and almost Sheri Moon Zombie. After the show I got to meet Rob and Piggy D. Great time!
Damn he's been so good for so long. And to play along note for note like that is incredible.
Still one of the most underrated guitarist 🤘🏽🖤
john 5 comes across as a really nice guy in all his interviews
7:13 ah the good ol' Power Up sound when you don't know what else to play
Vroom Vroom! 🎸
didn't know who John 5 was but i stumbled on to his version of beat it and I literally can not top listening to it.
John 5 : DJ's, there're up there doing all the things on their laptops, that's really hard, I couldn't do that...
Ha... Haha... Ha.
Man the weird thing is jhon is my fifth favorite guitar player. He's so talented. Great video
The last one could be a Rammstein song 🙈🤣😁👍🏼
Nice Job John 5 🤘🏻
Yes, break out into other styles!!! I myself 💜 the blues, jazz , and fusion rock. Be your self, but also be different ❤
Rock on. It was a pleasure to have been his Uber driver in Milwaukee.
2:55 WHEN YOU ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME IN SUPER MARIO WORLD
Hahaha exactly!
Wow. He is great. One of the best.
Manson should beg this guy to come back , I've seen Manson live maybe a dozen in mpls/st.Paul and at one of the shows he stayed out during the intermission and jammed , I had no clue how talented this dude is . Wicked good !
He's too good for Manson. Manson's an asshole.
God! J5 keeps amazing me, he's such a monster!
Sounds like “Symphony of destruction” 6:07
'Anything that is good, I just love it ' that's been my philosophy my whole life.
At age 5 John received a cinderblock from Uncle 2....
The rest is history.
Loud wire is obviously obsessed with John 5
Who doesn't?
And corey taylor
I can see why
Gareth Poon me too tho
Always amazing.
Very articulate and clean lixx he is so fast I can't even see his fingers move. Thanks for this video. Forever love and all hails to John 5
@joanna Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
This guy has definitely dug through ditches and burned through witches..
And slammed in the back of his dragula
Don't get me wrong.
I love John 5.
Talented dude and plays/creates a lot of fun stuff.
But...
There are so many other crazy, talented guitarists out in the world that you kind of forget about him.
I don't, the dude is a monster and has an awesome discography behind him.
Take it back. Just kiding johns one of my favorite guitar players.
Hi..Such Great playing...esplly around 6:20 til the end,,,,,Great picking and so fast and clean..Thanks again....Dave

"their all jsut arpeggios"
-John 5
me: wtf
He makes it look so easy. Can't wait to see him at the Machine shop in Flint MI in Feb.🤘🤘
I just met him and he's do down to earth. What a stellar dude.
Someone listened to Roy Clark
@maurice Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
John 5 is awesome! I’d bet Marilyn/Brian misses him a lot.
I have been living under a rock. This guy is fantastic!!!
So have I, so don't feel bad.😊
Always heard his name early on with MANSON/ZOMBIE but only recently heard his playing.
WOW 😲😃!!
Just his sense of style is iconic
That’s basically Cannonball Rag. Seek out Tommy Emmanuel to see it played flawlessly.
Tommy is a joke compared to 5.
@@keithclark486 My statement stands.
I forgot that this guy made me give up playing guitar 3 times now....
Wow that last thing he did unreal
The fender telecaster is my favorite fender guitar so far. followed by the mustang And the infamous Stratocaster.
He's one of the most underrated guitarists. I don't get it. John 5 is insanely talented and deserves better than Manson and zombie.
The best musician but Marilyn Manson let him go, big mistake Manson
@stefano_ terra I think you mean deserve
hmm
@Sinister Tradition Official Band Channel yea, well, its safe to say everyone was pretty shocked at how hard he fell off after GAoG.
@Sinister Tradition Official Band Channel Maybe he doesnt, He did turn away Wes Borland just based off the fact that he was in Limp Bizkit (or so the rumor goes). But maybe he knew he couldnt afford John5 going to such a smaller label. Or maybe he was getting burnt out and focusing on other things like acting or art.
I think John didn't like M.M. and they had a tense stage presence around each other. You can have a great job but if you can't stand your co-workers.... it makes for a bad day.
