SlapMyBass3825 I have met him at a festival and he spent a good 5 minutes talking to us and taking pictures. even when his people told him it's time to go he told them " when I'm done here we'll go". Amazing guitar player and amazing rockstar that loves his fans.
I went to high school with John. He is absolutely genuine. He literally DOES let his guitar work speak for him. He worked his tail off to get where he is, nobody handed him anything. He was going to Harpos and wearing a wig playing heavy rock, while his day life was in penny loafers and short hair.
He's not just a great guitar player, but just an awesome and friendly human being. You try talking to a guy twice as famous and half as good, they are usually cuntbags.
Not sure that everyone truly realizes the colossal amount of hours, years, and deliberate practice John does on a daily/weekly basis to achieve this level of comfort and competence in almost every genre of guitar music. I can't think of too many other current masters of the guitar with this level of diversity. It's remarkable.
He really loves to play the guitar. I think in an interview John had said that his wife often complains that he takes guitar playing to unhealthy levels. But at present he is the most unique guitarist on the planet.
How people do their list of top guitarist and miss him is unreal!! He is a top 10 all time since he is one of the only guitarist to play and shred every style of music on every type of guitar as a complete master!!
I have massive respect to guitarists that acknowledge the skills of bluegrass musicians. They’re extremely fast and don’t rely on computers and production to create the sound.
You can tell this guy has a guitar in his hand at any given moment of the day. He's a great testament to the rewards of constant practice, discipline, and wild talent. I like the fact that he brings an open minded approach to the instrument. His tastes are really varied and interesting, and he doesn't let the fact that he's deeply entrenced in heavier music genres to blind him to the fact that there is great music out there beyond the pale if metal.
If John died tomorrow we'd all be like "He was a fucking legend! One of the best rock guitarists of our time." So before that how about lets just appreciate him for his talent and skill right now.
Yeah well fortunately it won't be one of those stupid deaths if it does happen as I believe he doesn't even drink. He definitely doesn't use drugs. Drugs seem to be the thing that take a lot of great musicians.
big fan here of John 5 a seriously underrated guitarist who has monster chops and very humble guy too. Plus the dude shreds on a tele for metal how cool is that and can play banjo.
@Øli Macabre I'm 52...I'm very well aware of everything Manson. I've been a bass player since I was 15 yrs old and still doing it. Time flies faster as the years go by.
One word, Genius! I've saw him many times front row. Met him, the guy is sooo damn cool and easy to talk to. Without a doubt the Greatest Guitarist we know of today !! Stay safe J5!
I’m late to the John 5 appreciation party, but he is super fun to watch. I suck at guitar, but love watching all genres of guitar music, and am just blown away that one man loves the instrument so much that he can play every genre and loves to play everything
I remember back in the day being a manson fan and seeing him play live for the first time on the DVD I had. I knew right then and there I wanted to play the guitar and over a decade later im still playing
Every time a new video comes out of John just jamming he gets better and better. John is the actual poster-boy for practicing and what it can do for you if you do it all day every day.
Got to do a meet and greet w John 5 a few months ago. Started listening to him and following at a young age. Got to watch him front row at three zombie concerts. The man was so incredibly humble, sweet, kind..took time w everyone made conversation. Lives to play, such an amazing player, and just a great human being!
One of the absolute best guitarist John 5!!! Never could figure out how when he plays someone else's song how he gets the perfect tone and everything right all the sudden when he plays something like ac/dc and then suddenly change it to something like rage against the machine.
As a man of the same age as john5 it's soooo nice to see someone out there showing the youngsters that all the heavy lifting Is worth it...of course talent helps😎
Manson should beg this guy to come back , I've seen Manson live maybe a dozen in mpls/st.Paul and at one of the shows he stayed out during the intermission and jammed , I had no clue how talented this dude is . Wicked good !
A very Happy 51st Birthday John William Lowery. July 31, 1970 Born in Grosse Pointe, MI. Perhaps the most versatile guitar play alive. He can play almost any style. Even Spanish / Flamenco on a Hello kitty guitar.. Many more John William..
@@RedWolfDrift2000 Chance, he just came off the bus and was walking into the arena. I also met Joey Jordison before the show and almost Sheri Moon Zombie. After the show I got to meet Rob and Piggy D. Great time!
I went to a Rob Zombie/Marilyn Manson concert and John 5 ripped the absolute most insane solo I have ever heard... must have been 3 minutes of him just jamming out... insanely cool!
By far one of the greatest guitarists still living on planet earth. I wouldn't be able to sit across from him and not be wearing a smile listening to him play.
@Sinister Tradition Official Band Channel Maybe he doesnt, He did turn away Wes Borland just based off the fact that he was in Limp Bizkit (or so the rumor goes). But maybe he knew he couldnt afford John5 going to such a smaller label. Or maybe he was getting burnt out and focusing on other things like acting or art.
I think John didn't like M.M. and they had a tense stage presence around each other. You can have a great job but if you can't stand your co-workers.... it makes for a bad day.
I remember seeing Anthrax with original band members(which was so f’ing awesome) to see them perform and Rob Zombie at The Villa Real McAllen Tx when I was in my late teens. John 5 had a really amazing guitar solo that I was really blown away by. It was a great show! 😆
I don't understand why John 5 isn't recognized as one of the best guitarists of all time. It's always Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, who are of course legends. But John 5 needs to be part of that list. He plays so many different styles and the speed of his playing is mind blowing.

Saw him last year myself. Everything you said is true.
Hahahah that’s my uncle!
John Kirtley ?
RisCannon Yep!!!
RisCannon seen him live a few times, amazing guitarist. Also a really down to earth guy
I can tell John 5 plays that banjo lick every single time he picks up a guitar

Loudwire must realy love John 5. You've made so many vids with him
I think this Is a part of an interview. They release different segments of it for a easy video randomly
I wonder what Corey Taylor thinks about this...

They can call it ClayJohn Pool 5
Who else to complete the superband? I suggest Devin Townsend for vocals and maybe some guitar, and Danny Carey on drums
zach hill on drums
