Baohong paper is often overlooked and underrated. I started with Academy grade but now use their Artist grade. It's lovely to work with and affordable.
Am absolutely loving it. Have already ordered the Artist grade

That is some of the best WC paper one can buy.
I use Baohong all the time & prefer it to my Arches. I tend to get the artist grade but the Academy is just as good, imho. I even have Baohong Academy WC Sketchbooks (Hot & Cold Press) 😊
It’s outstanding paper. I believe , could be mistaken, it’s being sold by Medeen also these days. Crazy underrated, outstanding paper.

I’m looking for the student grade of this Bao Hong.
Started with “evil” paper, then semi-evil Canson then saw 100% cotton for good price!
Now have used Arches, Saunders Waterford and except for getting paper out of super gummed block Bao Hong works (lifting unless fast) was not a charm 🤔.

Good you reviewed Baohong both academy and artist. I have been using them for years. i personally and based in experience find them better than arches 😊. The artist grade i believe is almost the same except for the price 😂
I wish Arches made a small pad like this!
