Israel raids Al Jazeera offices and shuts down channel | LBC analysis

- Israel is closing local offices of Qatar's Al Jazeera satellite news network, escalating a long-running feud between the broadcaster and Mr Netanyahu's hard-line government.
The order, which included confiscating broadcast equipment, preventing the broadcast of the channel's reports and blocking its websites, is believed to be the first time Israel has ever shut a foreign news outlet.
02:27 Aidan White, from the Ethical Journalism Network, says the decision is not justified.
06:56 Richard Pater, Director of BICOM, says the organisation has been shut down because it's a threat to Israeli national security.

I've heard that it was because of viewership but her videos seem to have pretty stable views above tens of thousands. Ian Dale's videos seem to be consistently less than this. So does other presenters, so this excuse doesn't seem logical.

They also go through a *different* court than others (ie Jewish orthodox settlers), which also results in different sentences. This has been an issue for a long time.
