- The National Arts Club hosts a presentation on the "cosmetic queens" from author Elizabeth Kerri Mahon. Mahon tells the stories of the women entrepreneurs-such as Elizabeth Arden, Madame C.J. Walker, Harriet Hubbard Ayers, Estée Lauder, and the grande dame of them all Helena Rubinstein-who created the beauty business.
