As part of our 2024 Virtual Fashion Week, the National Arts Club presents Dr. Kate Strasdin, museum curator and author of "The Dress Diary: Secrets from a Victorian Woman's Wardrobe" for a unique look into the diary of Mrs. Anne Sykes. Piece by piece, Strasdin will chart Anne's journey from the mills of Lancashire to the port of Singapore before tracing her return to England in later years.

I learned about Kate's book in Threads Magazine and bought it as soon as I found it on Amazon. It was the most interesting book I've read in recent memory. I would be thrilled if all the dress diary pages were made available online and I would happily pay for the privilege of viewing them. Bravo, Kate Strasdin!
