Radahns little dungeon
A normal Friday night in San Francisco? Helloooo leviathan
I took a fart while watching

If you're a sorcerer, war-dead catacombs has Collapsing Stars, which owns, and you can just run in and grab it and beat feet if you don't wanna deal with the tree spirit.

I've been wanting that spell actually, had no idea it was in this dungeon from hell lol

Unless it's been changed in a patch, the enemies don't actually spawn infinitely in the dungeon. You CAN kill them all, there's just a LOT and they tend to teleport back up if they fall to the lower section.
I got summoned there. We went to that first room with all the ghosts spawning. The host went AFK. I had a hair raising time until they came back. It was likely only two minutes, but it felt like half an hour.
@@strangepro4 they never spawned infinitely. They’ve always stopped after you take out so many.
Yeah they use to. But they nerfed it because of the rune farming. Honestly cool cause this dungeon was some asshole before that. Haven't played it since all the changes they have recently made.
Yeah, I don't think they did spawn infinitely before. I went through this dungeon in the first week after release of the game (before even the arcane scaling weapons were fixed) and the enemies had a limit. It was just a lot of them, and teleport a lot, so it seemed like more than it actually was.
They never spawned infinitely from what I was told, you have to kill all of the clean rot knights and then all of the other enemies will despawn, atleast that's what has happened for me.
I'm on NG+5 with over 450 hours into my character, and I'm only just now learning of the dungeon at the end of radahn's desert arena
Same here and I just started ng+2 about 40 minutes ago 😭
Sadge
Bruh how do you all have so many hours and still have secrets to discover? What do you do in your playthrough lol.
I discovered the entire game in my first playthrough and it only took me 95 hrs 💀
@@ahassani we don’t all follow a walkthrough / Google. You clearly do.

I remember after beating Radahn, I thought, "it'd be just like From to have this massive arena, and then hide something in a remote corner of it". First playthroughs of From games are amazing.
Same here, and I crawled around the whole thing looking for something, until I finally stumbled across the catacombs. The first 5 minutes I thought I had just wasted my time, and felt vindicated once I found it on my own
Ogha’s actually a really great spirit ash… if you can get him to aggro onto the enemy. The problem is that he doesn’t follow you, instead he simply patrols around the area in which you summon him and aggros onto enemies he happens to see. So if you summon him in a safe area with no enemies you’ve wasted your summon, and even if you’re in an area with enemies once they’re all killed he’ll just stop and go patrolling a small area again instead of following you further into the dungeon. Even some boss arenas are big enough that if you summon him right after entering, he won’t “see” the boss and will just patrol back and forth by the fog door.
It makes him annoying to use, but if you can actually get him to pay attention to the enemy he’s a monster, with great survivability in melee thanks to his greatshield and excellent ranged attacking with his gravity arrows from his greatbow.
Any of the spirit ashes with red glowing eyes in the portraits behave the same way. Bloodhound Knight Floh is another example. I'm not a fan of their style personally, but from what I hear they're tougher than other summons. Just...uncontrollable.
Cursed Blood pots are a thing. Toss one at an enemy and it'll draw your summon's aggro to whatever the pot hits.
@@xXbrokenvoidXx what is the range of aggro using the pots, more or less?
I'm glad you mentioned that. I thought my game was bugging out. I just leveled him all the way up and I was pissed lol. Dude just sat in the back the whole fight.
If this is the spirit ash I'm thinking of, he is SUPER useful against Malenia with the stagger from his gravity arrows
You unlocked Mallenia easy mode.
Olga is like "Radhan sends his regards"
I actually kinda liked this dungeon. Great for farming runes (yes, I suck) and the upper floor with the archers and window-jumping was a fun challenge and pretty interesting design. It felt a little more unique at least than most dungeons.
The best is when you can summon others and go wild as a group lol
@@fuzzysocks229 I'm glad I'm not the only idiot who just saw a brawl going down and said "FUCK YEAH" then summoned a gang and went to war.
@@TrueHylianKnight heck yeah!! Taking down tons of high-level enemies one-after-another as a group is so satisfying 👌 (still haven't managed to take down the boss tho, still recovering from my last humbling that thing gave me lol)
It’s crazy to me that people bash on people who grind runes lmao, like it’s literally a game mechanic the developers intended on players using? So why’s it the “wrong” way of playing the game?
Man, I farmed this place for runes like crazy, totally get it.
This dungeon is actually my favorite dungeon in the game. A lot of them are pretty brainless, but this one seriously made you think through how to tackle it. How much you wanted to explore, how greedy you could get with bumrushing, how well you coupd sneak past the tougher enemies or how well you thought you could fight if you joined the fray. Add onto the fact that it's an eternal echo of the greatest battle of the shattering, and it makes for a 10/10 dungeon imo.
but the final boss is a repeat of the worst boss enemy in the game so...weird pick for a favorite man.
@@arcanealchemist3190 ranking dungeons themselves and ranking bosses can be pretty different. This is a good example of that.
This dungeon wasn’t the best but it was the coolest. I didn’t even fight anyone, I just watched the battle lol Cleanrots wanted revenge while the Redmanes held it down
Cleanrots wanted revenge lol
To be fair, the Redmane Knight Ashes and Redmane Knight Ohga Ashes are both pretty dang good
Not if you never intend to use them anyway.
Ohga has really weird pathfinding/patrolling when used outside of bosses or in really big arenas, but they are hella strong.
ohga is needed for platinum trophy
@@Ageleszly that's where their description of being "good" comes in
@@M.A.R.S. Nah I mean the whole spirit summon system anyway, The youtuber here prefers to not use them.
When you flew out the hole I almost choked laughing

I missed this dungeon when I explored Radahns arena and after I heard about it online I spent a solid 30 minutes looking for it. I'm so dissapointed in myself.
Don't be, it's so easy to miss even if you know where it is.
Same! Pretty sure I explored the entire perimeter of the arena after having defeated Radahm and somehow missed this. Then I read about it online and it was there 😐
Same - disappointed nw man ^^
There's a lot of underground areas with windows with sun shining in them WAY underground, to the point I have to think it's intentional. I start the dungeon by going down a huge elevator, go down 3 giants declining tunnels taking me lower, then the boss arena has sunshine in it? Wtf?

Still though, it's great seeing the full brawl of PTSD suffering ghosts evicerating eachother for eternity.
I tried finding this dungeon so many times (the little statue guy is on the cliff above) and I gave up. Thanks so much. My ancestors can now rest in peace.
this channel is like exposing the secrets of elden ring that everybody already knows about
First time I’d heard of this lol.
Word
I remember finding this after fighting radahn because I found the statue that pointed toward it. I ran around that room for at least 10 minutes before I found it lmao
I knew of that dungeon before I even played elden ring myself,
A freind of mine had theor own copy before I did and the first thing I saw was them leaving that very dungeon.
Seeing a barren red desert that stretched as far as the eye could see, I say something along the lines of-
"So this is elden ring?"
Mans got all the cleanrot drops at once
2:16
It's my favorite farming spot actually. It's really fun and the fact that they fight each other makes it much more relaxing than other dungeons
I love the red mane knight ohga ashes I personally like honk it’s third behind tiche and mimic
I haven't followed the fextralife blindly and although i got melenia, I've never encountered the infinite loop dungeons in ER. Ohwell
My man turned a normal dungeon a lot of people have done into an entertaining video. Props to you
I assumed this dungeon was one of those accessible dungeons in the midgame but really meant for the end game type of places. A super challenging dungeon located in a badass area that gave you something to look forward to in the endgame. Just a normal dungeon, though.
the OG dark souls chest at the bottom of the first section makes me happy to see it for no good reason
i just managed to find this dungeon thanks to the messages people left, it comes in so much handy lol
Oh yes, probably the most challenging dungeon I've found so far 😄 It was very difficult at first, but later it became a nice rune farm for me. Much better that the "avoid big ball" one, one site of grace above. Mainly because it's more challenging and not so boring. There is some luck/bad luck involved, too. Sometime it's 2 regular soldiers that respawn almost infinitely, which makes it tough to dodge both. Sometimes the big bois respawn after they get destroyed in the lower floor, but the risk of loosing all runes is low because you can simply walk back to the site of grace and game over there. It's my current go-to place whenever I'm like "ehh, I better complete the remaining required runes for the next lvl".
I literally walked around that entire edge and then somehow missed the damn cave
I had to go back another time after I heard about it online
This was one of my favourite dungeons that I’ve come across. I’m sure I haven’t discovered every dungeon yet, but this one was a lot of fun to explore imo.
I’m going through all of your videos and this one is crazy 😂 always wondered if something was out there!
I love the war torn catacombs. The attention to detail was amazing Rhadan knights versus malenia's knights infinitely fighting forever it blew my mind when I first found it.
Just wanna say that radahn is too pure for the treatment he gets Lmao
Damn that vespyr! I got your back! Your videos are great! 🐯
That golem when you come from the tree and go down
It will forever be called the rahdungeon in my mind now
I did not know about this dungeon. Looks like I know what I'm doing tonight.
Flossin this armour set is like flashing your junior swim certificate at backstage security…
“Good for you, champ” 🤷♂️🙄
Great place to level up... in my playthrough they stopped respawning after a certain amount of times. The Radahn Soldiers stopped after about 5 or 6 times. The Knights stopped after about 3.. The Cleanrot knights after about 3 or 4. Cool video!
Get good, ur bad, I already knew this, and I smell.
Great video.
oh
for the amount of bosses and content in elden ring if every boss was unique the game would be 1000 dollars, so i dont know why people really complain about free content
Pretty much all the catacombs have ashes, just FYI - probably something to do with the whole dead theme. At least this one gives you a golden seed too so definitely worth doing
Alright, you got my sub. I love your sense of humor. Keep it up my dude.
Im so pissed, I rode around that desert for so long and right before I got to this cave I was like "ok obviously theres no dungeon around here, they just wanted radahn to have a massive arena" so i turned around right before i crested a hill
Nothing the Taker's Flames can't handle.
Congrats on 100k
No joke, I thought every single person who had played Elden ring knew of this dungeon 🤔 Little hint, load up game in offline, grab mimic veil, go down into dungeon, run up stairs where everyone is fighting, put on mimic veil, go to bed and leave game running. The enemies will kill each other over and over again, easy AFK farming, playing offline will stop anyone invading you and killing you.
If you want to do the all legendary summons achievment then you must've been there
Found this one out on my first run through, because there’s one of those statues in Caelid that points at it.
Took me to my 5th play through to realise that Dragonbarrow Cave has more to it than the rune bear and there was another section with double beast man boss fight that was like 60k runes to beat. It’s actually quite tough.
Oh, thanks. I DID NOT KNOW about this dungeon. And I AM one of those crazy people who rode all over the beach. (Still missed it)
This dungeon is the only dungeon that I just ran through (over and over again) got the lever, beat the boss (again) got all the stuff. But I MISSED the CHEST in the rot cellar, so I'm going back in.
i found this out when i was going for every achievement, very tucked away! :D
genuinely had no clue this dungeon was a thing, totally checking it out later
I like how there is just a random dark souls chest in the Scarlet swamp area
@@gavfitzpatrick yooo.... That would be so cool.
You're funny and informative. I appreciate you🤟🏼
I still cant understand how i am supposed to know the timing of a boss, if i cant even see the fucking boss
I prefer not locking-on for these kind of bosses, makes them way easier to track
@@iissacc yeah, sometimes you're not supposed to lock on, mainly on large bosses or with a very limited hitbox, sometimes the two together like Paarl in Bloodborne. In this case, it's not even a matter of hitting the attacks, it's just that I can't understand anything that happens, and I can only predict one or two attacks. Not to mention that the hitbox of the blows of these bosses is so big that everything looks like an AoE
Does Jotaro like dolphins?
Summon a tanky type spirit ash (dung eater is my go to), helps but best strat is to hug the boss; Mogh’s sacred spear or Envoys long horn makes battle easy
I'm amazed anyone didn't find this one. There's one of those statue guys that points to it that I found long before I entered Redmane Castle
And here I was hoping you were talking about something other than the dungeon I found ages ago. lol.
missed this the first time around, but after returning like 2 months later i realized i'd probably ought to REALLY explore his boss arena. lo and behold
I remember yelling "PUTRID TREE SPIRIT AGAIN?!" when I cleared that dungeon
I know about this secret, but to make you feel better I found that after like 400+hours playtime and a lot of completed runs and NG+
I actually found this exploring that area I saw something from the distance thinking "no way there's something here."
Yeah, War-Dead Catacomb is a great place to try new spells and new ashes of war. Also, invading here can be a lot of fun, making the most of the ensuing chaos, and knocking helpless fools in the bottomless pit near the grace using the jar cannon.
I completely had no idea about that dungeon at all. Since I currently have Radahn killed I'll just see what it's like and revisit this video later.
Literally the first thing I discovered in this boss arena, found this before I found Radahn even.
I never saw this one as a repeat loop dungeon but those other 2 you're referring to were super clever and threw me off especially when they start tossing pre killed dead bodies on the ground to make you think it was the original.
I remember when I first came across this place lol I was stunned they put this in a massive boss arena
I remember visiting the dungeon after killing Radahn. At that point I had like 25 Vigor and basicly all of the tree spirits attacks one shot me. Almost rage quit multiple times, only to get an ash, the seed and a ptiifull ammount of runes at the end.
Litterally had to convince myself that it was more or less worth it for the seed, only to fin out you can get more than you can use anyway.
Collapsing Stars is the only thing worth entering and immediatly exiting these ruins for.
Man Im only 70 hrs into my 1st run ever and I think its safe to say that there are no other games with this amount of videos, tutorials, tips and secrets out there xd Thanks for the video man, much appreciated 🔥

Why did I watch this when I found this already. Editing was worth I guess lol
I can't believe I missed this. One of the pointy beam light statues points to it from above the desert. I went back and forth along the cliff wall looking. No idea why I didn't go right to the end. Figured it was up top, and spent time looking for it up there, too. Jeez Louise. Silly me.
What chest piece are you wearing?
this was my very first tree spirit I fought in my first palythrough in the game as a mage, and it was hell. (partly because I had like 20 vigor and didnt even realise you could upgrade weapons xD). But after fighting this horrible boss like 1000 times, I first-tried every other tree spirit in the game because their moveset will haunt me forever and I will instinctively know what they will do next and dodge it perfectly xD
Is you're costume a mod or can it be attained in game? If so, where
This was the only catacombs dungeon that actually made me sweat. It's brutal, even if you're slightly over-leveled.
What is that armor that you are wearing?
I ended up doing every boss on my first playthrough so not a single catacomb or cave is new to me but when I see them I do think back to the ones I never set foot in after my first playthrough.
IMO malenia is the best boss in the game. I'm a souls player that started in DS3. So I'm used to very difficult bosses i.e. watchers, dancer, nameless king. It took me like 20 tries to kill Gundyr. Beating Malenia was the single hardest and longest-fought fight that there was in elden ring. I didn't use a particularly OP build. Just darkmoon greatsword. I used a couple Ranni's Dark Moon and Magic Downpour against her to avoid spending 20min on the fight when there was distance between us. It was tough. Loved it.
Redman Knight Ogha is underused and a direct upgrade from Knight Kristof or Lhutel the Headless. She's a red eye knight (which means super aggressive) with a great bow and radahn arrows and can swap to greatsword and shield in close quarters. Unlike the trap Lhutel that everyone claims is a useful summon is a deceptive tank and doesn't pull aggro ever. Ogha pulls aggressive from range and is fierce upclose. Her arrows can cause knockdown and can even infinitely stunlock and kill Rennala.
That dungeon pissed me off but it was awesome
What armor are you wearing.
I didn't know this dungeon existed. Great to see a video of a good player clearing it
I didn't know there was a RA-Dungeon despite taking the time riding around Radahn's Beach, I somehow missed that despite Specifically looking there...! Thank you.
i also dont like the treespirit fights. It seems like so much is happening and yet nothing really. SO many moves and yet...
It has like 6.
Atleast two
A lot of people apparently dislike it and find it unfair and chaotic and hard to read. I never really got that. I'm not that great at the game, but I managed to figure it out pretty quickly, and I think its attacks are pretty easy to read and while there were a few iffy moments where I thought I should've hit it, mostly you just have to run a little closer to it than you think.
Most tree spirit fights for me is beating them silly and bashing their heads with critical hits, and then forgetting they tend explode themselves and their surroundings around half health. Having to stop fighting at X% and run away to avoid instant death is an all around annoying boss trait.
just don't panic, keep to their left, and dodge a bit later than you normally would, you should be good
Those summons are amazing
Also noticed in the final boss room there are vaulted windows along one wall with sunlight streaming in... 🤔 Your earlier comment had me thinking. Is this the basement of Redmane Castle or something?! Lol 😆
Boss is called tree spirit?... I always called it carnage lizard xd
From minor erdtree area, jump down on a platform where a golem is sleeping. There is a spell to be looted.
Just a personal gripe of mine, but the Putrid Tree Spirits suck as soon as they get their rot breath attack. Fought one in the Lake of Rot and having to fight that thing in such a tiny battle area (keep in mind there’s Rot pools near you, not like the one in this particular fight) and also the potential to aggro the enemies not too far off from you, and you’ve got a pretty bad time if you’re not a pro level Elden Ring player. When it goes ballistic and starts spewing Rot at you in an already Rot infested area, yeah I was going mad though I did eventually kill it. This particular Putrid Tree Spirit is kind of out of the way as you have to force it to spawn by moving through a river of Rot water, preferably with a high Immunity stat or a Bolus to cure the Rot after spawning the Tree Spirit.
What is that armour you are wearing?
0:37 was hella cool
For the ghosts, this is their version of playing Team Deathmatch, Operation Locker 24/7.
I was happy to find this place because l had a feeling they might hide something in his arena since it was so big, they kind of did the same thing with Gale in ds3. Walking into an active war zone in some random out of the way dungeon was the most chaotic shit
That dungeon is hell I spent so long getting through it and I just realized I have to go back because I forgot to get the soldier ashes
"Is that a secret everyone knows about"
Me, who doesn't read about any of the dungeons: what
There is a dead finger statue that points to this dungeon, right on the cliff near lenne's rise, pointing down. This is how I found the dungeon.
Funnily enough Radahns starscourge greatsword skill works AMAZING in this area to stagger/take out the ghosts since it can target everything around you. I love putting on heavy Armour and just letting loose lol. It's even better when you get summoned/summon others and can just go ham
...still haven't managed to take out the boss tho
This isn’t a secret dungeon, tho the entrance can be hard to spot. Good stuff in there for the patient
