RC Speedy C3 Chassis Build/ First Drive & 2k Subscriber Giveaway! [Nicest RC Truck I’ve ever owned.]

In this video, we build and drive the RC Speedy C3 Titanium Chassis for the first time and announce the High Noon Hobby 2K Subscriber Giveaway! First, we sit down at the bench and put the RC Speedy C3 together, then we take it out to Southern Utah and romp on it on the rocks all day. Buckle up, this is going to be a beast of an RC Crawler video!

Setup Steps:
1. Separate your parts bags and try to keep them organized! There are tons of parts bags without labels, so you don’t want to get mixed up.
2. Remove the hood pieces.
3. Use the included spacers and forward mounting points to install your VFD Skid/Trans into the C3 cage.
4. If you’re using them, install the DIG and OD servos of your choice into the included servo mounting plates.
5. Build your link set. I went with the RC Speedy link set, which is labeled in the bag, but the individual pieces are not labelled. Make sure to keep track of which sizes are supposed to go where.
6. Install your rear axle first, dealing with the links in any order you choose. I chose to install the trailing arms first, then the upper links. If you use the RC Speedy links, you’ll attach to the RC Speedy tabs. Otherwise, you can use your skid or any combination that you find works to give you your preferred geometry.
7. Install your shocks on the rear axle. I went with the RC Speedy shock option which has stiffer springs included with it. I used the medium springs in the rear.
8. If you included the rear sway bar and bump stops in your kit, you can install those now.
9. Install the included servo mount which also supplies your pan-hard mount-I got the dual servo mount.
10. Install your front axle next, starting with upper links, then lower links ands shocks.
11. Install your steering servo and steering links.
12. Use the stock Vanquish links to connect your shift servos to the DIG and OD levers on the transmission. DO NOT forget to find center on your servos before placing the servo horns on the servos or you risk damaging your servos and transmission.
13. If you purchased the scale seats, install the lower half of the seats onto the mounting plate and then install the mounting plate in the C3. Then install the upper halves of the seats.
14. Install the scale fuel cell.
15. Install your ESC wherever it fits best. My Mamba X fits perfectly in between the seats. Connect your motor wires and route them.
16. Install your front lights if you opted to include them.
17. Install your winch if you’re including one.
18. Install your rear light bar if you opted to include it.
19. Route all of your necessary power and signal wires to the fuel cell and plug them into your receiver.
20. Power on, configure your endpoints. This can take some time with the VFD transmission.
21. You may need to unscrew the rear light bar to access the screws necessary to close your fuel cell, though I did not.
22. Install the steering wheel on the dashboard and install the dashboard into the C3. I used doubled sided sticky tape instead of the included screws for multiple reasons, one: because the mounting holes for the dash are inaccessible once the shift servos are installed, and two: because I wanted the flexibility to fit larger batteries if necessary.
23. Reinstall your hood.
24. Tires, battery, enjoy!
Additional RC Speedy C3 info:
The standard chassis set comes with roll cage, stainless steel panel set, trail arm, link set, battery tray and cms plate. Roll cage and panels can be upgraded to titanium and aluminum for extra.
Titanium rod offers the best strength-to-weight ratio of a RC tube chassis; it’s almost 30% lighter than stainless version. However, titanium is not as bendable as stainless, so try not to place excess force to bend them or over-tighten screws. Apart from being lighter and stronger, Titanium rod is a white metal with a smoky charcoal grey hue. Welded joints present unique burnt blue marks.
Every C3 chassis come with a set of link set, depending on the platform you ordered. You will need donor links and rod ends to complete the link set, as rod ends are not included.

I agree, I just feel like there aren’t enough really good build videos out there that cover all the right info and show the right stuff, so I’m trying to expand that category. Seems like a lot of build videos are just the camera pointed at the table at an awkward angle and not really capturing what the build process looks like from the builders’ eyes. if you havent already i would suggest proline g8 km3 mud terrain. way better compound than rc4wd
