No rumble, deadzone is less precise, awkward if you're sharing them. I've had the OLED joycons and used them almost daily for a year and a half; no drift.
I'll also just use this comment to say how much I love joycons. I sit at my desk with the Switch propped-up and I'm just dangling them in my hands. I can just imagine childhood me standing there, watching his future self playing a system with two controllers that act as one. Suddenly I take something out of the console as if it were an SNES game, but it's... a Gameboy?? I attach the joycons and walk past my spectral self as his head pivots with a hanging jaw.

I picked up my Nintendo switch by the right joy-con, the the rail came out of the controller completely and the ribbon cable connecting it to the board also snapped in half. Happened on both of them. If you think joy cons are Nintendo’s worst controller, I definitely question you as a gamer lol. Joy cons are far from Nintendo’s worst controller and definitely far from being even considered a bad controller. It’s a multi purpose controller and by all accounts it WORKS. Joycons cost a lot to people who literally only play their switch 1 way but for me I play the switch in a multitude of ways. Tabletop, Handheld, and Docked, not to mention it depends on the games you play as well which joycons function on all ends.

Later this year when the price of a switch drop at the pawn shop I'm going to go buy one. Chances are whoever took it in couldn't afford to keep it long so it'll be practically unused. Little chance of a software update too. Right now their 150, I'll buy one when their 60-80. I want it for emulation.

The Joy-Cons are great I don't really understand the hate. (Bonus points cause that rhymed.)
Yeah stick drift is annoying but Nintendo solved that issue, which you ship it to them and the fix it for free. (Not including shipping cost.) That's annoying, but considering how much there is in the controller is far to much to overlook.
Also, the Joy-Con buttons are tiny because that's the point. You DETACH the controller. I never thought it got in the way that much.
While you may disagree with me, at least it's not the virtual boy controller.
$80 isn't two bad for a controller that can do so much.

Nah I'm good with it. If they get Stick drift, I just buy some spare part-joysticks, and repair them by myself. Worked pretty well 4 times, 2 switches from my colleagues and friends where (both of them) one of their joysticks were broken off, plus both joysticks on my Switch lite. I hated the wite sticks and buttons and replaced all of them with black ones.
