I just finished reading this book. I found it pretty interesting how it laid out a lot of the other conditions associated with SIBO/IBS. The low fermentation eating plan was surprisingly a lot more broad than the low fodmap diet.
Yes, I found that also very interesting, especially the association with diabetes, since diabetes can affect nerve function, including with the gut nerves. This was a huge a ha for me. And I agree that the diet was quite broad, and interesting to me!
Can we take digestive enzymes along with low fermentation diet...i jave sibo which is very severe in my vase which causesaldigestion and some villous atrophy....so i done lot of diet but don't work and this low fermentation diet will help for me as i severely malnourished andegloblastic anemia etc...i don't want to do fodmap as it iwas very mood suxking for me
Great book. The fermentation diet makes a lot of sense and is certainly more manageable than low FODMAP and has reduced some of my symptoms. Being plant-based I was inadvertently eating low FODMAP but still high fermentable foods (tofu/chickpeas etc). I am confused though by guidance stating that Fructose/Mannitol/Sorbitol are to be avoided yet many of the foods in the allowed in the foods list include these FODMAPS (avocado/mushrooms etc). This needs clarification.
I am a little confused by this too, and this is why I said most people will likely still need someone to hold their hand through this. In my program, I take an approach of helping clients get clarity about whether foods are reactive or not, and this is certainly something you could test on an individual basis. The fact that those foods have FODMAPs is based on a theory, but that doesn't mean every FODMAP-sensitive person will react to them. Thanks for watching!
@@ConfluenceNutrition If you haven’t heard of Food Marble check it out. I’ve found it invaluable helping me track how my SIBO reacts to different foods/herbals/supplements.
Hello Amanda, I just finished the elemental diet and I was wondering if it's okay to take herbal antimicrobials? I would like to do a round of oregano oil before I retest.
Hi Marcus, I can't give you specific health advice, but in general, I can say that some people do follow the elemental diet with antimicrobials, although it's debatable whether it's necessary. More helpful may be to run a SIBO test to see how much the ED reduced/eliminated it, then decide whether or not more treatment is necessary from there. Thanks for watching.

Hello Amanda, can you do a review of Andreas Moritz books please? Especially the liver flush one. Thanks
I will look into that, and if it seems like they may be relevant for my audience, I will. Thanks for the suggestion! And thanks for watching, too :)

Though it looks like an interesting film, it isn't relevant for my audience. Thank you for the invitation, though ❤
