Don't care how good of an actor Pedro is...they just keep using him in everything! Doesn't matter how much he doesn't look like the character he's portraying...they just throw him in everything now...
Except for Wonder Woman 1984, where at least he gave it his all, Pascal nails every role he's in, so it's not surprising he's used in many projects. Regardless, if he really nails Mr. Fantastic, who's to complain?
Yup, he is Disneys current poster child. I don’t hate the guy, but I highly dislike when someone becomes the default choice for most things. Plenty of other actors would have fit this role a lot better
In the comics leading up to Secret Wars there are multiple "incursions." This is when universes collide and wipe each other out. That's probably what we're seeing with the "meteor shower" in the trailer. It could be that Galactus is some sort of catalyst for this destruction and then comes to oversee the chaos. Either way, I expect the F4 universe to be completely wiped out by the end and somehow this results in them landing in present day 616. I'm also guessing that we get some sort of small scene with RDJ as Dr. Doom by the end of this movie, maybe as a post-credits scene. In a lot of the comics Dr. Doom actually works WITH the Avengers & F4 to overcome larger threats. Doom doesn't want to see the universe destroyed, he wants to be the God Emperor of the universe. It could be that Dr. Doom actually helps the F4 in this movie and gets them off world into the 616.
I’m wondering if they’re going to put them into the MCU since this is an alt universe and if that is the case is that going to be the norm going forward with other iconic teams like the XMEN?
The Fantastic Four: First Steps seems to be righting the wrongs of the previous Fantastic Four movies: - The team seems like an actual family who get along with each other instead of just four roommates who bicker a lot. - Their origin story is straight from the comics and it looks like the movie won’t waste so much time showing them mope over getting superpowers. - Galactus ACTUALLY looks like Galactus and isn’t an evil space storm. - The movie includes other FF villains besides Dr. Doom, with Mole Man and the Red Ghost rumored to be in it. - H.E.R.B.I.E. isn’t a cut cameo, nor is he a replacement for the Human Torch (Look it up). - The Fantastic Four actually seem like a team who CHOOSE to be superheroes and don’t solve the problems they caused because of their own reckless stupidity. I’m really excited for this movie! I just wished it had been made in Stan Lee’s lifetime. RIP 😔
Galactus doesn't destroy universes. He is actually the sole survivor of the last universe's destruction. If I remember right that's how he became what he is, and it's also why his hunger can only be sated by entire planets. I never got too deep into his lore but I remember that much about him. His form isn't what we can comprehend either. That is his actual form. You're thinking of Darkseid who's a literal God who's mere presence can annihilate universes so he tries to conquer them through avatars. But I could be wrong. I dug a little into Galactus when I was young so I really don't know if shit has been changed since then. Comic lore is always changing.
I know Alex said hes worried about the villains but with RDJ as Dr. Doom now I could get excited for future possibilities again. There's a lot of potential here for the MCU to make a bit of a comeback with the X-men coming as well.
I am in the same camp as Alex I was never interested in the fantastic four because they had it in modern times, at the time I was just binge watching X-Men all the time. But I will say I do like this atmosphere of the '60s and '70s vibe So this might be the first fantastic four movie I watch.
Starts off with a mix of origin story / battling a c-level baddie, then when all seems good, galactus shows up to destroy the world. Silver Surfer is in it for 5-10 minutes max near the end to help battle galactus, but ultimately fails as galactus does indeed destroy this Earth. Before doing so though, a massive portal is opened that takes F4 + others through it into the known MCU, and Silver Surfer escapes into space. Ends with the world destroyed. First end credit shows Galactus closing in another Earth. Second end credit is Silver Surfer meeting up with a known superhero that sets up the next film. I saw the movie... in my dreams.
Superman estate is suing WB and is trying to block it being played in major markets. Even if there are alot of ticket sales, the estate are trying to get a chunk of the pie.
The idea of galactus winning would be super awesome. The good guys don't always need to win especially if they are trying to paint the MCU as a broader picture and bigger story.
I’m not an MCU guy but I’ll probably watch this when it comes to streaming. Two problems I have: - Pedro Pascal, show some damn self respect. You are better than someone who signs up for a cinematic universe to return when Disney demands it. - Galactus shouldn’t be used as a one-off villain in a movie introducing F4 to the MCU. He’s far more grandiose than that. They are doing him dirty.
At the moment, the NA (US) trailer has about 11 million views within 6 hours. I saw the Latinoamericana trailer has about 500k to 600,000 views And for other places, it's sitting around the 500,000 to 1 million mark
12:47 Joe's memory is convenient to him. He knows damn well what people say. I was on the couch watching football when the superman trailer came on. I noticed his crossed eyes barely paying attention to the trailer.
I really like Krasinski as Reed Richards, unfortunately he was put in a terrible movie with horrible writing, but I liked the way he played the role regardless. Probably the only part of MoM I liked at all. Edit: I like Pedro Pascal but he's literally in everything nowadays I'm getting a little tired of seeing him in every movie/show.

Don't care how good of an actor Pedro is...they just keep using him in everything! Doesn't matter how much he doesn't look like the character he's portraying...they just throw him in everything now...
K
Except for Wonder Woman 1984, where at least he gave it his all, Pascal nails every role he's in, so it's not surprising he's used in many projects. Regardless, if he really nails Mr. Fantastic, who's to complain?
@@Kardashev1 He looks nothing like him. At all. So, he already failed.
Evil Dead 2 t-shirt?! I actually thought Joe would keep Superman shirt on till the Superman movie comes out.🤔
I'm really tired seeing Pascal's mug in every fking movie these days, is there an actor shortage or what?
Yeah he wouldn’t be in my top five to play Richard
The first superhero film he did, F-in terrible “WE84”, deserves a different role
I don’t mind him being a superhero, although he doesn’t seem “nerdy”
Word.
I say the same thing every time I see the rock in a movie
Do I get a cookie for being this early.
Side note I’m pretty sure Sue is pregnant when she walks into johnnys room
Fun Fact: there is a gang call Cuatro Flats and they sometimes Tag the Fantastic Four logo lol
I’m wondering if they’re going to put them into the MCU since this is an alt universe and if that is the case is that going to be the norm going forward with other iconic teams like the XMEN?
I hope at the end the thing says “it’s fantastic” and reed Richard’s responds with “say that again?”
We've always been who we've been- invisible woman yeah that makes sense for the 60s/70s 🤣🤣
The thing looks like the live action ninja turtles
Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic is a STRETCH.
It's disgusting.
Build the ultimate F4 Cast. I'll start
- Reed 2007
- Sue 1994 hair,
- Sue 2005 body
- Sue 2025 face
- Johnny 2005
- Thing 2025
Why did you cut Sue apart?
WHY TF WOULD YOU TAKE SUE FACE FROM 2025 OVER 2005 LOL
Thing 2025 looks like a PS4 character sometimes lol
@affordablehousing9116 Because people are gross and only see women as the sum of their physical traits.
@@TotallySearch You're saying PS4 like it had shitty graphics?
Classic beef: DC vs Marvel. BIG CGI FIGHT, HERE WE GO!
The thing canonically has never been tall certain artist have drawn him like a hulk like giant, but he has always been the size of a tall human
I think the MCU got huge with what were C tier characters when they started.
FF has a legit shot of out shining Superman.
So Ben/Thing is actually an inch shorter than Reed, so he's of accurate size here. Since they fight often people expect him to be Hulk size.
I wish Stan were here to see this.
It's ok. He saw the superior casting back in 05. But I wish he could see Galactus done right
Lot of people gonna hate the F4 just cause they don’t care for the characters. Without them there would be no Marvel
The Fantastic Four: First Steps seems to be righting the wrongs of the previous Fantastic Four movies:
- The team seems like an actual family who get along with each other instead of just four roommates who bicker a lot.
RIP 😔
Hey Joe, if nobody else has said this yet, they have confirmed this is not an origin movie or story. Maybe you get brief flashes about it
Galactus has also had a female Herald in the main Marvel continuity. Her name was Nova.
Looks alright. I'll pirate it.
Confirmed there is no origin story in the movie
I know Alex said hes worried about the villains but with RDJ as Dr. Doom now I could get excited for future possibilities again. There's a lot of potential here for the MCU to make a bit of a comeback with the X-men coming as well.
They confirmed this is set in a different universe
I love how the teaser trailer is barely over a minute long yet this video is over 20 minutes long.
Before yall brought up their kids, i thought @3:04 that Sue looks like she is sporting a small baby bump
Shout out to OJ, knowing there’s no oxygen in space and therefore fire can’t exist
For the Celestial sticking out of the ocean, we are fianlly getting that addressed in Captain America 4
Alex actually made a facial expression when Galactus showed up.
Two problems I have:
- Pedro Pascal, show some damn self respect. You are better than someone who signs up for a cinematic universe to return when Disney demands it.
- Galactus shouldn’t be used as a one-off villain in a movie introducing F4 to the MCU. He’s far more grandiose than that. They are doing him dirty.
Who said he was gonna be one off? This could just be his introduction into the ncu and he’s always been a F4 villain
My idea is that Galactus is going to win and destroy the Earth and that is why the Fantastic 4 (and maybe Doom) end up in 616.
All i can see is Freddie Prince Jr as Fred in Scooby Doo.
At the moment, the NA (US) trailer has about 11 million views within 6 hours.
I saw the Latinoamericana trailer has about 500k to 600,000 views
And for other places, it's sitting around the 500,000 to 1 million mark
12:47 Joe's memory is convenient to him. He knows damn well what people say.
I was on the couch watching football when the superman trailer came on. I noticed his crossed eyes barely paying attention to the trailer.
I really like Krasinski as Reed Richards, unfortunately he was put in a terrible movie with horrible writing, but I liked the way he played the role regardless. Probably the only part of MoM I liked at all.
Edit: I like Pedro Pascal but he's literally in everything nowadays I'm getting a little tired of seeing him in every movie/show.
He’s in everything and he’s always the same in everything. Look he couldn’t even be bothered to shave his fucking mustache for this movie. He doesn’t look like Reed Richards, he looks like Pedro pascal in everything else he does
I like when Sue Storm looks right at the camera. XD
It’s just so goddamn cookie cutter and basic. It literally seems like it was made by committee.
