Fun fact: A doctor who helped in the Clone Wars and fell in love with Barriss Offe later worked for the Empire as the medic of the first Death Star, being able to escape before its destruction.
Combat Medics are absolutely vital for the survival of entire army, and Clone Medics were fighting against a massive droid army that didn’t needed them and could go crazy with destruction. The Clone Wars were a bloody conflict for the Clone Army and depended on their medics to save veterans to fight another day, but the CIS probably made a priority to kill off medics to cripple entire Clone Legions.
