    WOW! what lovely honest reportage..your voice is soothing, demure, and seemingly accurate regarding the Delta Premium select product.
    Question: Was the tape removed from the seat next to you?..it seemed particularly obtrusive.
    really nice video!

    Excellent video. Flew Air France from Detroit to Paris in PE. Could never really get comfortable in the seat. Flew Delta One back from Dublin to JFK. Now that was spectacular.

    Thank you foe sharing your flight. Yes, as I have learned over these years of frying, I have to have more space for knees and legs. Being 6'2" and when I have flown in Economy, I am always glad to have th seat neat to me empty. Second, over the last several years I have used points to upgrade to Business Class on those long-haul flights. In Premium Economy the first row and seats on the far right or left behind the bulk head is what I look for if Business Class is full. That is watch I look for in flying.

    We are trying out premium select from ATL to Heathrow. Long flight over night I want my legs up and to possibly take a nap, (never sleep on flights) I hope the better reclining chair helps, as far as delta one. I would love the experience but I am just too stingy with my travel for fun funds to spend it on the flights. Thanks for the video.

      I hear ya, you'll definitely be able to get more comfortable in the PS seat. Delta One was probably a once in a lifetime thing for me, too. I'd rather use our travel money to go *more often* than...just for the ride over, but it sure was something 😆

      Thank you for your video. We will flying from slc to cdg at the end of next month. I know you mentioned you read rather than use the in flight entertainment. Don't they have better head phones in PS? Were you able to use the bathroom that's right behind First Class or did you have to head back toward the middle/back of the plane? Thanks.

    • @MilesAwaywithUs
      @MilesAwaywithUs  Год назад +1

      @jenny fiori Hi Jenny! In the PS cabin, I believe they came through with headphones, but I always carry my own so I didn't grab theirs. And since I read the whole flight...I never did use them 🤭. The Delta One cabin gets the nice noise canceling ones.
      The bathroom on that flight...I went towards the rear of the PS cabin to restrooms between PS and Comfort+.
      You'll love PS for the leg rests though - what a treat to have that!
      Hope that helps!

    As a 6'8 man, its never about the amenities but the legroom. Especially with knee knee issues. Chose Delta's premium select in the sections bulkhead. First time flying to Asia, so I really hope its a comfortable flight for me. Plus I hope the bathroom is roomy for me. I may have to use a first class bathroom to avoid my legs from sticking out with the door open. LOL! I wish someone would video the bathrooms on these planes. Thanks for the video!

    We are back from a 18 day European trip. KLM LAX to Netherlands was exceptional experience (Premium Comfort) KLM service on board was excellent and food was very good. Our way back Delta assigned Airfrance Paris to LAX. Seats were hard and Premium Select was not up to par and very old plane (777-300) without newer upgrades. Airfrance staff average and food was basic. At this point I'm bouncing between United and Delta for my next Euro travel. Since we are a family of 6, we do have to watch our budget and Premium comfort is likely our highest option we have. Love the videos and we are subscribed.

      @@MilesAwaywithUs We flew last year from LAX to Geneva via United. We stopped at Newark, NJ. The plane was a United 777-200 but the inside was very nice. We got free upgrade to Business Class from NJ to Geneva. On they way back. Rome to NJ then LAX. We used our premium comfort seats. No issues and I would say service and experience was better than Airfrance by quite a lot. Delta is a trusted airlines but the partnership with Airfrance I don't trust. Just sharing our experience.

    Thanks for the upload. My only experience with Delta Premium Select (premium economy) was just before the pandemic. There was no separate cabin, we we just allocated the first few rows in the main cabin and from observation the seats were only marginally larger. Food was appalling and service disinterested. Seems you had a much better experience but my flight put me off Delta permanently. Maybe one day I will try them once more 😀

    Nice editing. Makes me want to book a random trip to Paris just because. I haven't been there in a loooong time. However, I don't understand your comment about the banboo flatware. I am glad airlines use alternative options (as opposed to plastic), but wish they would all use stainless flatware that can be reused. However, when I travel I usually carry a banboo set with me so that I can avoid that throw away stuff and I found it does not give me a problem with TSA since it is not metal.

    I will be traveling Delta Premium Select from JFK to Amsterdam at the end of the month. I was told they offer noise cancelling headphones, which would be great so I don't have to schlep my 2 pair for me and my wife.. Can you confirm if they still offer this amenity?

    I flew this same flight (Paris to SLC) and class about 6 months ago and thought it was great. However, the comment about "not a ton of leg room" from someone that is 5'4" sitting in a seat with 38" of pitch is confusing to me. What airline/class do you usually fly? The only time I (6'7") have had better was getting bumped up to a Sky Suite on JAL coming back from Tokyo.

    you didn't fly first class. You flew coach with a nicer seat. Int'l first class is over the top service with double beds in the sky. The service you received was the same as coach
    Delta is the only airline in the US that considers premium economy as economy. AA and UA have a business minus approach where you are provided business class meals, just not a lie flat bed

    • @MilesAwaywithUs
      @MilesAwaywithUs  Год назад +1

      Yep, Delta's Premium Select isn't business class. It's more like domestic first, plus a leg rest. Meal was like domestic first, but also definitely a notch better than Delta long haul coach meals I've had. Thanks for the tip on AA and UA, I haven't flown either in decades.
