第一譚詩は血沸き肉踊り、第二譚詩は深々と沈潜する名演ですね！R.Straussは自作のフルトヴェングラーの演奏について、『ああいう風に書いたつもりは無いのだが、良かった。』と言っていたそうですが、私の恩師の伊福部昭先生も、山田一雄先生の演奏について、同じようにおっしゃっていました。

広上さんの若い頃の海外録音版とか井上さんN響も味がありますが、山田氏の演奏はテンポが早く粘らないモダンな指揮と感じました。

For Ballata Sinfonica, yes there’s recordings of this orchestration in full, most likely it was a recording mistake, I wouldn’t think Ifukube would rework this for the sake of his brother as it was meant for him when he passed away.
