This is first work that so-called "Godzilla's thema" appears.

A lot of Ifukubes Godzilla themes were adaptations of his earlier classical works. Its probably because Japanese film composers back then were only given 2 or 3 days to compose a movie score.

@@garyhewitt4344 Even in his own compositions he’d reuse several of his recognizable notes most likely for the soul purpose of it sounding great in other styles that fits in with its rhythm as far as I’m aware since he was still making music until 2006 quite literally never running out of his creativity. In 1954 he was seriously dedicated towards the making of Godzilla wanting to do his best with his music performances and out of the “3” themes that he reworked into the film I’d think he’d have a reason to use and rework those the way he wanted it to while in most the others he’d worked on throughout the years he done what he could that would fit in to the scene he was dealing with, similar to working on the original Godzilla movie.

I agree. Even as repetitive as it is, it fits perfectly into the films and sounds great. My favorites of his are Godzilla vs. King Gidorah and war Of The Gargantuas. He made some awesome music even for the short time he had to compose the music.

@@garyhewitt4344 for all of the movies he worked on which is quite a lot (nearly over 300 scores for films I believe or just in general for both films and his personal works combined) I think he didn’t have much of a problem with it besides the number of music players being quite small, he was loyal for Tomoyuki Tanaka because he got em the job for the snow trails and onwards, some of my favorites outside of his movie scores are Ritmica Ostinada, Bon Odori, Sinfonia Tapkaara, Symphony Concertante, Symphonic Ode Gotama, Fire of Prometheus, Eglog, and Lauda Concertata to name a bunch, wished his music was more recognized not just by Godzilla but by his craft at making music alone, it’s quite unfortunate for his personal works to be quite niche.

@@Gojifan1975 Yes I agree. Im not much into classical music but Ifukube's works are some of the best Ive ever heard. Fire Of Prometheus and Ballet Salome are among my favorites. Ive noticed that many of his Godzilla themes are adaptations of his earlier classical works.

Such a beautiful piece! And a more amazing feat that it was rearranged together how it should’ve been all of them years ago, nothing feels out of place in any of the movements it all sounds smooth and displays Ifukube’s signature “sound” beautifully throughout. The story behind all of this is awe inspiring and I’m pleased that you’re sharing a good chunk of Akira Ifukube’s compositions throughout his career and sharing such information in the description. Much thanks for uploading this!

15:30 sounds somewhat like one of Ifukube's military marches

    解説なしに理解し得ぬような作品は最早作品ではない。
    それなぁぁぁぁ! そんな作品も面白いとは思うけど、僕の作りたい作品ではない。
