Girl, my grandma was using vaseline back in the 70's you ain't telling the black community nothing new about vaseline.
Right I thought so
Exactly , black people have been doing this for years.!
Heyy same here for me as a Latina 😆
Amen to that
Mine too!
I really wanted to hear what the woman had to say! And about the products but Jenna wouldn’t shut up! I was extremely annoyed! That was soooooooo disrespectful to that guest! Do better Jenna!!!!!!
Exactly!
THE WORST!!!!!!!! LIKE BE QUIET AND LET HER TALK, GEEZUS!
She's annoying
They both do. Always!!!
the woman is full of crap.
This is a perfect example of why I no longer watch morning TV features. You get zero information when everyone is talking on top of each other. I would have to watch this 10 times just to get the information that it supposedly was delivering.
Yes, I had to stop watching at 1:30. Let the girl speak, damn. Hoda wouldn't shut up.
Exactly what I was going to say! Like I can’t even figure out what the woman was saying from the other two talking over her
lisee...i know! it's so annoying. the guest only has so much time inform us & jenna won't listen. i could tell the guest was frustrated too!
Lisee, I agree. I'd much rather watch one or two people talk about products, than three where one feels the need to be way too extra
Yup I actually watch four times and had to really pay attention and listen for the products because they were obnoxiously talking the entire time I couldn’t even hear what the lady was saying. So rude
Please allow the guest to educate/ inform us without interruption. I have to watch this multiple times to get the information I'm finding useful.
AGREE ..Gosh its so rude of them
Right!! Those two can be so annoying, they needed to let the lady just talk.
Seriously, they both do this constantly!!
Thank you!
They seem to do this all the time and they certainly don’t listen
I’ve had “the glazed donut face” all my life. I was blessed with super oily skin which slows down the aging process 😃🤣😆
LOL
oily skin does have a plus it wards off wrinkles better than dry skin because the oils keep skin moister and smoother.
True.. my father is 68 now, he has a skin of a 30 year old! He is super oily but his skin is bomb
@Celtic girl well my oily skin didn’t get the memo because at 50 there’s not 1 wrinkle on my plump dewy face 😃🤣
@@579cameron I agree. I also make sure to take my collagen and hyaluronic acid supplements and get 8 or more hours of sleep ☺️
I wish they would stop talking over her.
Yes!!!!! Me too. Not good
They were like hyena’s on those products
Clucking hens lol!
Oh I was just going to say that! Thank you! Awful! They have a guest and never let her finish a sentence. So frustrating listening to them interrupting!!! RUDE
Same.
OMG LET THE EXPERT SPEAK!!! I can’t!! The information was so helpful! Let her speak!
i was thinking about how they keep interrupting her and how annoying it is, its nice to read the comments and see that its not just me.
Conversational Narcissists these days
There is nothing new under the sun , these are age old beauty tips , and good ones ! 👍
I use raw Shea butter on my face every night after I wash my face. Been doing it for years. I'm 45 and I love what it does to me.😁
Shea based things are my favorite
Same
I used cocoa butter throughout my youth and I’m nearly 50. I have one expression line in my forehead.
They wasted so much time interrupting her, she didn’t even get to finish a sentence!
YESSSSSSS😩😩😩😩😩😩😩💯
😂seriously! Omg
God these 2 Boomers needs to stop interrupting! My sister is 68 & does this to me all the time. Let the woman speak! I'm 55 and my siblings do this kind of interrupting, it makes your head spin! I had to save the video to break it down. Btw, my mom had no wrinkles at 93, and did this type of routine since the 1940s when she was a pin up model.
@@mstea3232
Neither of them are Boomers.
I know so annoying !! Tell em to shut up
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand. Shalom
Amen! Jesus is awesome! He is soo good to us! Have a wonderful day!!
He’s to good to us 🥺
Chaotic energy. Sheesh!
Right?
LOOK, LADIES IF YOU DON'T HAVE TIME FOR A SEGMENT,,, DON'T DO IT... AND STOP TALKING OVER YOUR GUEST!!!!!!!!, THAT WAS SOOO AGGRIVATING
Totally agree! I couldn't even watch the whole segment, both ladies talking over her, rushing through the products.
As an Aesthetician, this is not applicable for everyone. Trends come and go. Take care of your skin from the inside out for best results. Diet is first, you can slather all the products you want, but what you consume matters most. See a professional, so you can learn your specific skin type and skin condition. Then use the products that are best for you, based on the professional’s recommendation, not what every celebrity is doing.
You are so tactful! It’s total bs. Eat a half an avocado every day. Way cheaper.
But creams and lotions are so fun! Lol
Vaseline is best for a youthful skin. Before bed, put it under eyes and on your elbows. Your feet once a month, then wear socks.
It works well on your legs, arms, and hands, too.
I used to do the socks at grandmas .,but the socks would be off when she left the room lol
Your right about Vaseline it is very good for your skin. Some people think only for like baby rashes or chapped lips. Great eye ointment treatment.
@@steelhurricane4041 if I would have known then, what I know now. Heaven knows I would have applied it to my double D’s. They say it would have kept them from sagging. Too late now. Lol. Sure wished some one would have told me about it. No doubt.😂😂🤣
We've been doing this forever in the black community!! We've always used Vaseline on our face elbow legs feet everything
Oh my world! I may want to moisterize my feet. My boyfiriend is almost 55 and got perfectly smooth feet, but he does nothing, they are naturally that way while mine, the bottom side are horrid wrinkly. I am 46 myself. My face is not as bad, just two small wrinkles on middle of forehead and some age spots top of cheeks.
Right! My skin is naturally dry and my mom, auntie and grandma have been glazing me up since I was like 4 😩
Now I’ve taken over and it’s still effective
For double cleanse, you can use whatever oil is around: castor oil, olive oil etc.... You can use retinol nightly if you use water base moisturizer before retinol make sure the moisturizer settles into your skin before you put the retinol on. Rubbing into the skin creates friction & heats up the skin. Don't rub the moisturizer or retinol on your skin, dab it on your skin
All this time, I've been doing it backwards
Thanks for the tip 🙏
Thanks.. Should I wash my face twice after the oil cleanse or once? Sometimes there's still make up residue
@@gratefulandhumble3693 Oil cleanse should usually remove your makeup. You can use a cleansing oil specifically made to melt the makeup and once that's done, you can go ahead and use your normal facewash or face cleanser. Hope this helps!
I’m a Vaseline coconut oil and Aquaphor person for my kiddos also it’s great🙌🏽👏🏽🔥Ms. Hoda is always great to listen to❤️
Do you have pimples those clog pores
@@John-qg6gz no pimples it works on my skin I can’t speak for anyone else. For me the best and won’t change it either.🔥
I really wish the hosts would let her actually speak!
Remember when grandma used to go to bed with her face covered in Pond’s Cold Cream or something like that.
My
Nan used Noxema instead of soap. Nothing fancy. Just cold cream and a rinse. Well into her 90’s no significant wrinkles!
First time watching this show...never again! The hosts are obnoxiously rude. I really wanted to hear the guest. Geez!
If your over 40 Elemis is the best product for your skin. I've been using the wash, toner, moisturizer, serum and overnight facial. Every three months I get a Hydrafacial. I look like I am in my 30's. It's worth every penny.
I use coconut oil pretty good so far .
I really wanted to hear Bobby but Hoda and Jenna were talking so much. And Jenna is so LOUD. Please please ladies let your just guest talk. This has frustrated me to the point where I just have to turn it in the past. Thanks
The Maybellene with the sponge on top is my favorite! It's cheap and works so much better than the $20 and more concealers. Beautiful and you can do spot touch ups with the little sponge.
Omg they talk over each other sooo much on this show. GMA is good at avoiding that.
Too much
Way to much
New Yorkers talk never listen..
“Okay , okay, okay” who gave these two a show?! Let your guest speak.
Bobbi’s face is full of cheek fillers, Botox, filler in lips, etc ….great advice but she has a lot of help
Bobbie is absolutely gorgeous . ✨🌹🇺🇸
We need the product names listed or am I missing them...
It was refreshing when there were guest hosts when Jenna was gone, it was peaceful....no talking over the other one, no competion like there seems to be with Jenna.
I never did think Jenna was the right person for that job but she's a Bush
Jenna is so annoying I agree with your post a million %.
Been doing this since I was 20, but I use and have experimented with organic oils (grape seed, jojoba, rose seed hip, pomegranate etc). I am now 30 and people don’t believe me when I tell them my age. My husband also tells me that I just don’t age.
@Shalonda Cooper not if you are white.
Hey! Thanks for the help! Which oil works best for you? 🙏🙏
Another myth the beauty industry has sold. Nobody should age before 30! Your body is still “growing” until 25. It cannot age except through lifestyle abuse.
Albolene is the best cleansing balm, affordable too.
we blacks .It's been our thing
raw Shea butter at night. works wonders
Strange. My grandmother and mother used just regular cleanser and moisturizer and they have beautiful skin without a wrinkle in sight
If you don't wear makeup you don't need to double cleanse.
Some people are just blessed with naturally beautiful skin
@@volcrazy89 That's what I figured too
Thanks for the confirmation
I'm 57,my Dad way back used vaseline, he had beautiful skin. However be warned, multiple times I have tried this and every time I would get hard white cores in my skin that literally had to be dug out with a needle!
It’s basically a simplified version of Korean 10-step (not that it involves 10 steps daily (masks/ampoules/exfoliation are not done every day)). They call this glass face or glass skin.
I have that now. A little sun damage now,but no lines.
Two students at my schools mama glazes their faces before bringing them to school…
My skin would break tf out and scar If i do this, however I do this for my lips every night and they are always so soft and perfect 🥰.
I use vaseline and vitamin e oil mixed when my skin gets dry it works wonders
For goodness sake ladies this is not anything new about how to double clean your face. By the way Kris Jenner looks flawless not because of products it is because of plastic surgery.
I honestly didn’t think she looked “flawless” at all that was a reach of her to even say that but I digress 😂
Who cares about K Jenner ???
I’d been cleansing, putting on retinol and then Aquaphor. Sure enough, my usually very tough skin went red and dry.
You’re not moisturizing in between. That’s what’s most important.
My grandmother used to wear vasaline petroleum jelly every night before bed...needless to say....she did NOT look her age...no wrinkles and 84😱
No way
You’d think that would clog pores
@@dannyt7269 the molecules in vaseline are too big to pass through the pore lmao
Same with my aunt who is 93! Glaze me up!
Mature women need to stop trying too rock trends with a bunch of 20 year olds… entirely different skin.. walking around with pink under eyes at our age isn’t a color glow… it’s looks aging … careful ladies..tons of layers with “blurring”, “glowing” “concealing” can back fire..
yesssss I so agree -thank you
Funny how some things people have been doing for years and not being a trend is now a trend depending on who it is that is doing it. Like so many others have commented here, I too have used vaseline most of my life. I don't have naturally oily skin so i must moisturize but it's all I have ever used and it does wonders for the skin. I'm 53 and I have no complaints.
You look amazing, dear!👍🏾
@@briana14333 Thank you.
Vertete Refining Treatment Cleanser is a double cleanser, toner and serum in one. Removes all my makeup in one step, no breakouts. Also, peach is the best to cancel dark circles.
They are talking over, and rushing her!
My mom taught me this! Didn’t need The Today Show to tell me, but thanks for the confirmation! 🙂
I actually trap my retinol with aquaphor and got so many compliments for my glowing skin. But my retinol is for beginners so it isn't super strong and I don't use it every day of course.
I do the skin care routine and skin has never looked better. I found this routine from several dermatologists on RUclips
Who?
Can you please add the link to the dermatologist you watched on RUclips we might get better answers then from Hoda and Jenna.
Dr Dray, the budget dermatologist and there are 2 males who I don’t know their names. My skin care routine is primarily Cerave and neutrogena. Also I watch Hot and Flashy
@@cam_2022
You’re thinking of Doctorly with Dr. Shah and Dr. Maxfield.
Dr. V is another good channel too.
Neosporin Antibiotic ointment vs Vaseline y'all. mix with olive oil or sesame oil plus it helps with acne.
I seal all my night time skincare in with Cerave Healing Ointment. I have acne prone skin and it doesn’t break me out. Helps prevent transepidermal water loss. I put it on my eyebrows too and they are so soft, lol.
She has me so confused. I don’t know what to use in which order. Am I the only one? Someone just tell me the last product to use to give you the glowing look!!!
My parents love to have some glazed doughnuts sometimes.
I couldn't get the name of the products. Do they have them listed somewhere
Which product do you want to know?
You can pause at 1:37 and see them.
Oh, OK, pause it, thanks.
Oprah said this years ago...Definitely not a 'new' trend
Jesus, they are all talking over each other like a coop of chickens.
Like cackling hens. 🐔😂😂🤭
I use Clinique moisturizer first then trap with argan oil from Natural Grocers. I look 15 years younger. Don't forget the neck and decollete.🦋🌷🌺🌷🦋🌷🌺🌷🦋
Can't function with anything clammy, sticky, oily or greasy on my face, body, hair, round my neck and especially on my ears.
It takes getting use to. I remember only using a little bit lotion because i didn't like the feeling but when i got older,i started rubbing more, vitamins help too i noticed after taking it daily without fail like other times during pregnancy there was a difference in my skim and hair.
@@007amy-n1b Been this way since girlhood. I tried Vit E this week, still can't take the feeling unless I'm asleep of course. But you're right. Vits are beneficial to skin.
Your not alone on that, I don’t like feeling like an oily anything.
Am I the only one who remembers the alternate meaning of glazed donut???
The way they always assume they’re really putting us all on to something new is what gets me 🤣🤣🤣
I usually use either avocado or olive( both good quality) to clean my face. It's beautiful result
Me too. It’s also what I put on my skin at night to moisturize
I got absolutely nothing from this due to all the talking, cackling and going off topic, plus in today's economy who can afford to spend 100$s worth of stuff to put on your face, although ELF is reasonable and pretty good.
Agree!!! I couldn’t learn anything they talking over her ughh, I normally buy products from. Target like L’Oréal or Neutrogena, hard times to be expending extra.
TOTALLY AGREE..you could see the guest was unhappy at the end because those two kept over talking her and the whole thing was about THEM! Ugh
I like learning about products etc.. my few dollars I use on new things if I find something worth while. But it is less and less now! There is no “extra” money🥲 but knowledge is free. So Hoda and Jenna…hush and listen!! Show some respect to your viewers and your guest!
This won’t work for my sensitive skin
Good LORD- let the guest speak! Jenna and Hoda are absolutely unwatchable.
I stopped watching Jenna talks too much and Hoda laughs just like Kamala Harris all the time
I’ve been doing this for years somehow they think it’s a new trend! Clean and Moisturize simple.
This is hysterical...black women have been doing all this for 100's of years..🤣🤣🤣
These hosts are the very reason I prefer to watch RUclips over regular TV. They don’t let this woman get a word in edgewise and it’s so rude. Mad I even clicked on this video.
I cleanse my skin with a mild scrub, warm ish water, then i add coconut oil, or argan oil. I am 44, but people never believe me 😄😝. Plus sunblock, no matter if its raining or sunny.
I'm 46 and some folks find it shocking I got an 18 year-old son. I got both my parents' genetics. They did not show age until their late 50s. I help it along by avoiding hot southetn-like sun when I can, and when I have to be out, I got cooling sleeves to cover arms, long skirts/dress or wear leggings under knee-length skirts/dresses, got a wide brim hat even though do not like hats except winter kind, I hope to find more ways to drink water without it giving me acid reflux. I plan to start skincare.
Don’t Vaseline clog your pores?
Its good for massage only
That’s a myth. But I wouldn’t use it from head to toe, maybe lips, hands and elbows and heels.
Love hoda and Jenna. ❤️ love hoda period…
My aunt is 90. Looks 50 from putting ponds cold cream on face every nite. Can’t believe it but true.
Did they ever say where to purchase the yummy brands ? Couldn’t hear over the talk show hosts. They didn’t let her speak. Ugh
Sephora
Did they skip the palmers coco butter on the table? Or did I miss it?
So what’s the steps?
They forget the audience wants to know. They think the info is just for them. 😳
I LOVE THE ELEMIS CLEANSING BALM!!!
Let the guest talk!
Pink under eyes make me think “sick”
The constant interruptions made this impossible to learn or watch
I heard the opposite. I seen a trend of people not using moisturizer because it makes skin lazy. All the people in their 60s that look younger dont use moisturizer
The Elf cleansing balm is better than most high-end cleansing balms I’ve used and it’s cheap!
And Milani has a great cleansing balm to
@@natashabraddock6526 I agree. I’ve used that one as well.
Thanks ladies 👍🏾
:) I like the way you put it.
Think we all grew up with Vasaline jn UK as a lot of other countries
Sorry but I'm not into the Dewy Vaseline Glazed complexion. I Just need a little Hydration.
That’s why you do it at night
Not even at Bedtime. I don't like Dewy Vaseline Face Feeling. Probably wouldn't be able to 💤
@@lorettagallagher ..... Not only would I wind up with grease stained bed linens, my face would have a couple of surprise breakouts the next morning to further annoy me.
I wanna know who wrote the ordinary“chronically acid” in the subtext
That was all over the place, no recommendation of products or anything . Come on girls get it together.
Not being negative but really 3 areas to tackle but no recommendations except one in each one. Could've done a better job and who cares about Stefanie or whatever net name is get back on the subject....what was the subject by the end, lol
I’ve been putting Vaseline on my face for 25 years. I’m 42 and look 25. No joke.
Contrary to the cosmetic industry, the more stuff you put on your face the older you will look. The women who obsess over their skin and put tons of product and make up over it end up looking older. You know that old lady with pancake layer of make up? That's what they will look like. Its all about letting your skin breathe and heal without tons of layers.
I think the less you use the better, but moisturizer, gentle cleanser, and SPF are important for the longevity and care of your skins.
I just love that you said skins.😄😁
🎉🎉🎉🎉
@@lavenderangel2655 😂 thank you
I always thought these two ladies have some tension. Glad I’m not the only ones.
Zinc oxide powder is good mixed with oil
You could not pay me to put Vaseline on my face lol
"Cleanse, cleanse, moisturize, trap." 😅🤣
What if i have a pimple?
This isn’t new at all!
They are suppose to be talking about products viewers should try but the hosts are laughing and giggling at the mention of trying the product themselves. This show won't last very long.
Love Hoda
At night the skin rejuvinate itself
So slapping on all this would not met the skin breathe. Doing it during the day at home would be great for epidermal Water loss dough
