Wish I knew what he was doing half the time. No commentary when working around the fairing or closeup video. When asked a question, Rob is very informative and quick to give info.
Murph is an awesome mechanic.....the staff at Hampton Harley-Davidson is top notch! You cant get a better team led by Chad and Maryanne. They're doing my roadglide project which is stretched bags, tank fender...26" front rim, chrome out engine air ride and paint...it'll be a monster.
this guy is a great asset to that dealership i like that hes non stop and knows his shit and i bet hes the go to over there curious to know is he that good with the mechanical aspects also would love to see him get in and do some motor upgrades great job
Watching this man work was a joy. His knowledge of what he’s doing was a real treat to whiteness. Thank you. I’m in NYC, and I tell yah. I when ever I’m ready for they 4200 price tag. I’ll take it there for him to do!
What? That took 48 minutes and I’m sure your local Harley dealer would charge you upwards of $500 to do that install. Bike looked awesome though, love that fat front end!
Wheel and tire alone cost 1500. And fender Kit depending on options is another 1300 1500 which doesn't include paint. Idk if the progressive lowering kit was in his 4200 quote cuz that's another 1000. So if it is thats really only 200ish in labor which really isn't all that bad at shops being 80bucks an hour
Great Video, pro job .. but $4,200 lmfao HD .. way to expensive for a Fat Bob Look.. I’ll stick to the OG and pass on that price.. ty for the video tho ..
This is a Pitbull lowering kit? With kit, tire and professional installation, how much am I going to have to remortgage my house for to do a job like this? Okay, never mind , He said at the 40:30 mark of the video that's going to be about $4,200.00.
A ridiculous amount of $($4200.00) on a totally un-needed Mod to make your bike less stable, a lot heavier, and harder to sell. Just set your $ on fire and leave a perfectly good the bike alone.
it is all about personal likes. do you leave your firearms stock of dress them up in some nice tactical gear? I like the big front tires , the style is called germanic and you are wrong about diminished handling. it tracks a lot nicer and is smoother. not to mention on a lowered bobber looks very nice, springer front end,,, aaaaah
@@shitmonkey Guns? You could have had a Barret .50 or .338 for this abortion......Remember those OCC $100K fat tire choppers that were the shit 12 years ago that you LITERALLY can't give away now? This is THAT in 10 years. like I said, just set it on fire.
@@ccollins9981 Actually, closest I've seen a Barrett .50 used for was 5700. Last time I looked anyways. And those OCC garbage bikes were garbage to begin with. Only stupid people with stupid money could afford something from that stupid family. Only idiots jumped on that hype train. But who said anything about selling the bike 10 years down the road? It's all about personal preference anyways. The benefits are there with a smoother ride, better tracking, handling and cornering. Cost of tire is cheaper too than the 21". You either go this route or the 21" route cause everyone knows stock bikes suck. Plus, prices have come down since this video was shot. How much of the cost was labor thru HD?
Thank you for explaining how and why you do each part. Awesome!!!
Rob is a damn good mechanic! I’d let him work on my bike anytime. Great job man!
Wish I knew what he was doing half the time. No commentary when working around the fairing or closeup video. When asked a question, Rob is very informative and quick to give info.
Love to watch a Master of his craft at work! Thanks Rob for the info along the way.
Very impressive. He completed that as if he does a dozen of those each week.
Mechanical ability and precision A+, cleanliness B-. Dude, you wiped the components with the same rags you wiped the floor with!!!
That’s not a big deal!
@@brettlanglois8769 it is a big deal to some people.
Apparently so
@@brettlanglois8769 🤣
This tech has a lot of patience. I’d be telling those people to get the f*ck out of here.
How many of us were waiting for the camera person to walk into those fenders on the floor?
Nice usage of those Crown Royal bags, never seen that one.

Looks really awesome and I love that Red color. Pricey upgrade, but sweet if you have the extra cash to throw at it. Nice work!
Rob is a man on a mission with no waisted movements. I’d let him work on my bike anytime.
The million and one uses for a Crown Royal bag
Is it weird that I’m a Harley Davidson Tech and I like watching other techs work lol.
I have a stock size(16") PM Wheel, Metz tire with a Softail slim fender. Love the look and it "tricks" the looker! Glide on! 👊🏼
So that's a rear tire on the front end then? Just ran in reverse?
What? That took 48 minutes and I’m sure your local Harley dealer would charge you upwards of $500 to do that install. Bike looked awesome though, love that fat front end!
Are you in a windstorm or on a boat 🤔 😃 kinda gettin a little woozy watching this
What if any benefit is there of running a tire like that on the front? Like the look I'm interested in doing that I have a 2018 Street Glide Special.
Nice work and video. But there isn't $4,200 worth of parts there. That's outrageous.
That is exactly why he said with paint and out the door, meaning labor is included in that price.

Great job Brother!!!
Awesome tech! Are there advantages to this kit on a RG3?
Great video 👍😎🇺🇸
Question... You mentioned more than once, lowering something like 2inches...what was that about?
Awesome tech !
We’re is this Harley dealer he works at he knows what he is doing and sounds like a great place to get things done the right way
Someone tell me if I’m wrong the brake calipers were covered, but they were just hanging from the lines
Does the 180 kit void the warranty
What kit was installed? Is there one that is better than the other?
Gotta drive him nuts being filmed and questioned while working
hold the phone landscape and you'll get better footage
Nice bike
Badass!!!
Is that a 21" wheel or 19" wheel. I do like the fat look.
18"
Not sure how he is with motors. I can only assume he’s good. How much would you need to start your own shop?
Thank fkn God I dont have to listen to that womans cackle every damn day
hello and thkz 4 the video
How much is this for a 19 electra glide standard
Is a lowering kit required when adding the flat tire option
No, your bike will be automatically lowered when you get a flat tire.
Did you use the fork seal to drive the bushing in?
"Rear tire, running backwards, on purpose". So a directional tire rolling the wrong direction? Why?
What size rim is that?
Nice work! I wonder if deep down he was annoyed by people watching him work?
I know its been awhile but whose progressive 2" kit is that? Is that a harley kit or an aftermarket kit? Whose fat tire kit as well?
Native 180 fat tire kit
Is this modification for looks only or are there other benefits?
think about lean angle. the two tires are now on the same plane. thus a smoother ride in turns
@@phillipa224 ......... very good point, did not think of that. 👍🏼
Great job , you think he works that fast if it was a customers bike😉after all labor is by the hour!
What dealership is this? Where’s it at?
21”?
That's how they should be stock
What size is the rim?
what kit is that ? Smt MAchining ?
Wish she could have zoomed the camera on what he was doing with the ignition lock.

Very cool
So why does Harley Davidson charge for nine hours of labor for something this heaven sent mechanic did in 45 minutes.
Lol
Öh boy..
You answered your own question within the question.
When have you EVER walked out of a dealership feeling good about what you paid?
I want you guys to do mine!
I wish she new how to record the right direction to fill the whole screen
