My father was a CHP officer way back in the San Joaquin Valley. He experienced the severe fog conditions. One night he actually sat on the hood of the patrol car and guided his partner through the fog bank. When they came out into a clearing they counted over 100 cars who had followed them! Slow down and crack your windows open so you can hear other cars approaching. Also a side note his mother lived to 106!
I always find it unsettling how when we are alive, very present, and productive. Once we die, over time we are forgotten. You bringing stories of these forgotten brings their life back even for a minute, to be thought of before fading back into the deep abyss.🙏
Once, many years ago, my wife and i came upon a large grave yard in CA. and of the 30-40 graves; 20-30 were children. Mostly before the age of five. I still sometimes think about them, their mom, dad, and siblings and the grief they must have had to endure. This grave yard was long ago forgotten and was only a few miles from another one that is quite well known. Anyway.....nice work on the history, Jeff. Can hardly believe 118 years. Wow!
Sunday morning, 5 degrees outside, cup of coffee, breakfast and watching History Hunters with my bride. That's a great Sunday if you ask me. Great job again Jeff. It's so important to honor the deceased and learn about them. Have a great week!

Thanks so much, Addie! Any particular grave stand out to you ?
Edgar Challberg. I had never heard oh this battle before. Now I am interested in learning more about it. The three police officers hitting the train was very sad . Curious about why Dalton does not have a headstone after all these years
Always enjoy your cemetery videos, and this one was no exception!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love that you do research on these people to go along with your videos.
I enjoyed that. Loved it. Thank you
So glad! Thanks for letting us know, Sue!
So much great info and history. I remember when you were at this cemetery before. Beautiful picture of you with your Grandson. Congratulations!
Thanks so much! He sure is spoiled, always has to be held! Lol
Another interesting cemetery visit. Just think of all the history witnessed in 118 years.
This is my third video and found it to be thought provoking and humbling. I look forward to watching more. Parting shot: Way before I joined the Historical Society in San Bernardino, I would visit our cemetaries just to read the headstones but never told anyone cuz I worried people would think I had a screw loose. Nowadays it's cool.
You have the gift of the speak your a great historian, love your program.
As once a kid who had a "thick tongue" because I had to wear retainers for years, I truly do appreciate the compliment!
Thank you for sharing the history here in Turlock. Immediately after watching your video I wanted to go see for myself. All your research is much appreciated.😊
