Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle did not rape Virginia Rappe. He was charged in very flimsy evidence and went through two mistrials until he was found not guilty in a third trial. In the jury's verdict in the third trial the jurors went so far as to include in their findings that: "Acquittal is not enough for Roscoe Arbuckle. We feel that a great injustice has been done him. We feel also that it was only our plain duty to give him this exoneration, under the evidence, for there was not the slightest proof adduced to connect him in any way with the commission of a crime. He was manly throughout the case and told a straightforward story on the witness stand, which we all believed. The happening at the hotel was an unfortunate affair for which Arbuckle, so the evidence shows, was in no way responsible. We wish him success and hope that the American people will take the judgment of fourteen men and woman who have sat listening for thirty-one days to evidence, that Roscoe Arbuckle is entirely innocent and free from all blame." Arbuckle was charged with having alcohol at the party Rappe was at (during Prohibition) and the cost of lawyers for the trials broke him financially.

Yes, and Virginia had what we call now, "Pre-existing conditions". I am not sure if there was such a medical term when she died in 1921. Nonetheless, Arbuckle was
blacklisted in Hollywood and never really recovered from this trial.

@jbenziggy @HistoryHunters I came to say the same thing. Really wish Jeff would read these comments, do the research and amend this video to accurately state the factual record. Its a shame to see Arbuckle perpetually labeled for a false accusation that devastated his reputation, career and life

It's essential to have an exit strategy in place when kids enter show biz. Keep that exit strategy in the conversation all the time. It's a segway into their future prevents a cold shock.
Kids careers end and work in the TMZ usually dries up around age 14 to 16.

My mother is very shy but told my father she wanted to go to his funeral. The three of us went and I remember my mother hiding behind a palm tree at the cemetery peeking at everything going on. My mother is 93 now but still remembers everything about this day like it was yesterday. I don't think many people remember who Tyrone Power is but my mother and I will never forget.

You implied The Arbuckle had something to do with the death of Virginia Rappe. This is totally false.
Virtually the only indisputable facts seem to be that on September 5, 1921, there was a party at the St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco where alcohol was in abundance (despite Prohibition laws) and that both Arbuckle, then age 33, and a woman named Virginia Rappe were in attendance. Then, at some point during the revelry, Arbuckle and Rappe were briefly in the same hotel room together. But when Arbuckle left the room, Rappe remained lying on the bed “writhing in pain.” Four days later, she was dead of a ruptured bladder.
Another partygoer soon accused Fatty Arbuckle of raping and killing her and he was tried three different times for those crimes. But the first two trials ended with hung juries and the third ended with an acquittal. The partygoer later recant his statement.
Whatever happened that night, Virginia Rappe’s condition had still not improved three days afterward. It was then that she was taken to a hospital where doctors originally thought she had alcohol poisoning from the bootleg liquor. But as it turned out, she had peritonitis resulting from a ruptured bladder likely caused by her pre-existing condition.

Jeff, I think it took me about an hour to find Peter Lorrie's grave. I've been to Hollywood Forever Cemetery probably about a dozen times and only once were they complete Nazis about me taking pictures. All the other times they didn't care. The most notorious celebrity Cemetery against photography and filming is holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City. I've been kicked out of there once. Jordan The Lion and Adam The Woo have both been kicked out of there for filming. However I think Westwood Memorial Park is the best celebrity Cemetery to visit. They don't care if you take pictures or film as long as your respectful.

I love cemetery vlogs. Sounds like that rent-a-cop was on a power trip. I have seen numerous videos at cemeteries. Oh well. Loved the video.

The guy was only doing his job. If you have an issue, blame the cemetery. They make the rules, not the security guard.

Maybe your comment has some validity but the website clearly lays out the policy for filming so don’t blame them for enforcing their rules.

Thank you for taking me along, because i for one will never be able to go to Holly Wood and see all my fav Stars.I love how you explain everything you know about them.I love visiting graves,i feel they never should be forgotten.I think it is crazy that you are not allowed to video tape their graves, gee they know doubt feel if people watch it on here they will not go there to see it in person and that way they might not be able make the money if people do not go there on a tour guide!🙄I am so glad you got it done, before they cought on to what you were doing.Thank you once more for the great tour of these famous actors and their resting places.❤😊🙏

Hi both of you...Thanks for the video, I really enjoy the tour. Speaking of the security guy, maybe they required to talk first with the cementery before do any recording. On another youtuber I follow (Hollywood Graveyard) he even made a full episode on that location without any problems. Speaking of episodes, you should do one covering all the material you have like the signed pictures for example. Of course if the material can be show publicly. Greetings to both.

A beautifully restored memorial park. I remember in the late 1960s it was getting pretty run-down looking. I passed-by there many times as a child and teen but only went in a few times.
