I've had my Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra since October and it has not let me down. I love it so much and I always preferred Sony's boxy designs over the pebble glass back designs in modern flagships. Very smooth UI, close to stock Android with very minimal bloatware. The only complaint I have with it is I wish it had dual stereo speakers since it has 2 big bezels, the top housing the dual selfie cameras (the 16MP cam is incredible) and the bottom bezel serves no purpose which in my opinion is just wasted space. Overall, I'm very happy with this phone and I see myself using it for a while.
Just got my xa2 ultra yesterday. I love it. I didn't buy it to be a high end beast. I bought it to get out of the very limiting tracfone rug I've been in for a few years. Never thought I would spend over $100 for a phone. Hate how people can't talk and can't drive without constantly fondling their phones. Also don't like people expecting a Pavlov response every time the stupid phone dings. Why must I justify what I do with my time so I don't have a barrage of text and voicemail messages demanding explanation. Yet, I used to love my Palm xxx devices ages ago. Kept me organized and entertained. Today's smartphone make my Palm look like melted crayons. I still hate cell phones but I love all the camera features that are hundred times better than my old Sony alpha dslr buried in a closet because my health won't let me play with my favorite lenses. And I love the big bezels everyone else hates - older hands and health made that a positive feature. I heard so many people disparage this phone for people with small hands like mine, but I am definitely appreciating that bigger is better. Don't have to hunt and peck type and because I get bad migraines I can still see this big screen much better. I think I would really lose out if I let a few reviews or negative comments influence my smartphone purchase. I would still be trying to save some money for someone else's dream phone instead of what is practical for me today. My old tracfone is running 5.1. The Blu studio is 7.0 so this Xperia running 8.0 is great and the battery lasts a long time so I don't have to worry about outlets and whether I remembered charging cable. I thought the 32gb rom would be a problem as many reviews have said. Sony did not make use of the SD card with adaptive memory. So all the space on the card is for files, not apps. Most reviews overlook that. Not a problem for me. I tried my best to load the internal memory to capacity and failed. Now I have to find time for all the apps and games I grabbed to explore. Low-end budget phone for some, but for me it will feel like Christmas for weeks!

I love this phone so far the camera seems great, and also sony makes great phones altogether. The slow motion caught my eye that I defintely loved about it. The battery should serve me good. I ordered mines today can't wait for it to arrive the comparison, between both phones are awesome.

Hi, I am using a Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual since October 2014. Man, I love that phone because it was the first 6 inch screen from Sony if I am correct. It saved me from buying an e-book reader, since the 6 inch screen does the job perfectly. Now I am seeing a worthy successor for my current phone in Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra Dual. Very few phones have the 6 inch screen in this price range. Oh, and thanks for the unbiased review.
Sony is a very good brand, I have 8 years using the xperia models but they do not work with tmobile to the maximum even if they are unlocked. I had to throw my xperia xa2 ultra since I had too many problems with connectivity... Battery is the best

Great video man, I've had my xa2 ultra since last September and I still really like it! I wish it has 64gb internal, but I got a 256gb SD card in it so I'm good! I'll check out the new xperia 10+ and xperia 1 when they come out in a few weeks...

Man, this phone's front facing camera destroys my LG V30's front camera. Great value for $200. The signal also concerns me about this device. Too bad it doesn't work on Verizon, which is my main carrier. I would pick the Nokia 6.1 with Android One which has Android Pie for the same price and use it on T-Mobile and FreeUp Mobile.

Not sure but I will give you a warning about the screen sensitivity and I'm actually fighting this problem right now with my new phone. The screen is so sensitive that it will flutter and open apps just by moving a finger over the glass and not actually touching it, the pull-down menu constantly comes down. I've been to Sonys website and downloaded the tool that does a system check and nothing works. I'd be very careful with this phone until Sony fixes this popular problem. Forgot to mention that I do not have any kind of screen protector and keep the glass super clean.

So no one is having that problem were the signal from LTE drops to 3G when making calls? I already change the sim card but still has the same issue. My sister has the same phone and it has the same problem. I know its not my provider because I had the Z3 and it never drop from 4G.
Currently im using xa2 ultra and it works really great even gaming. But it has a cheap case, plastic back cover. Top and bottom metal cover are easy to break and damage. Camera is ridiculous, i swear!!! My old iphone 5s has a better camera than xa2 ultra. The best for this phone are to watch movies, browsing, mid games. Try to find another brand with cheap price.

Anyone with the "Ghost Touch" issue in the upper screen? They always push notifications that you don't need which is very annoying. This phone is not for heavy gaming. They don't update this phones software that much. I will never buy phones from sony again.

Man what is with Sony and their form factors oof. Its clearly impractical design. Android Oreo is a clear sign that this will have limited update cycles. Snap dragon 630 is barely any better than the S625 on my mums moto g5 from last year that i got for $130 on oreo lol. Sony was so great years ago but there are WAAAY too many good phones in the market to be pulling something like this.
Used to love Sony phones. But ever since all phone going bessless IP68 Sony still stuck on same big ugly bezels I switch to Nexus 6p. Samsung. Pixel 1 2 3.
@@TheTechPreacher You have to record a high def video in landscape and then say right in the right microphone and left in the left microphone and then play it back in Stereo and then you might find out your microphones are wired backwards too.
Dnt buy this phone I own it and it has a defect on the bezel corners sometimes u could be scrolling down on you tube or playing games and it just starts bringing the top menu down I took it to get it check and with other people on the internet complain about the same thing we all came up that it's a defect. Sony didn't even have an answer for it other than that is a gd phone battery is a fuking beast the glitch happens ramdom turning it on and off with the side button makes it go away like I said it's ramdom

I have one , its miles better than samsung , i used to love samsung, but not anymore , i have same problem with sound it could be alot better , but phone is great battery life all day

Anyone with the "Ghost Touch" issue in the upper screen? They always push notifications that you don't need which is very annoying. This phone is not for heavy gaming. They don't update this phones software that much. I will never buy phones from sony again.

Man what is with Sony and their form factors oof. Its clearly impractical design. Android Oreo is a clear sign that this will have limited update cycles. Snap dragon 630 is barely any better than the S625 on my mums moto g5 from last year that i got for $130 on oreo lol. Sony was so great years ago but there are WAAAY too many good phones in the market to be pulling something like this.

Used to love Sony phones. But ever since all phone going bessless IP68 Sony still stuck on same big ugly bezels I switch to Nexus 6p. Samsung. Pixel 1 2 3.

For TMO I thinks it's missing band 71, volte and wifi calling. For me it's missing mhl or Miracast. But man, that 6" 16x9 display

You have to record a high def video in landscape and then say right in the right microphone and left in the left microphone and then play it back in Stereo and then you might find out your microphones are wired backwards too.

Dnt buy this phone I own it and it has a defect on the bezel corners sometimes u could be scrolling down on you tube or playing games and it just starts bringing the top menu down I took it to get it check and with other people on the internet complain about the same thing we all came up that it's a defect. Sony didn't even have an answer for it other than that is a gd phone battery is a fuking beast the glitch happens ramdom turning it on and off with the side button makes it go away like I said it's ramdom
