I love this new 2021 version but nothing is like the old version…
I was extremely disappointed too...it fades very fast and I don't like the lily of the valley note. It smelt quite ancient for me.
Miss Dior 2012 is my ultimate favorite! 2017 is okay, too but 2012 is the best!

I don’t know why Miss Dior perfume does that. i got 5 ml sample Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, and while I liked it, the scent is gone in minutes! I tried to spray a loooot because I just wanna use it all and get rid of it, that’s when it started to last longer. Few hours later, my husband smelled it on me (for the first time after trying it for sometimes) and says he likes it. This fragrance is Intriguing 🤔

I’m soooo disappointed of this 467427 reformulation of Miss Dior edp!! I’m supposed to purchase a new bottle tomorrow but now I heard there is once again a new reformulation 😡 The 2012 version was good, and patchouli heavy, the 2017 version was more rose / peppery like and now with this new one I’m so scared I’m gonna hate it. It makes me mad! I will keep you updated tomorrow when I’ll purchase this new Miss Dior edp.

Thanks for letting us know about this amazing scent being discontinued 🙏 Now a year later I am getting to the end of the bottle bought a year ago 😢 Can you recommend a perfume that is close to the 2017 Miss Dior? Hello! Well you might like my perfume empress which is coming out in November (pre order sokilondon.com/empress) it has a lot of the same notes as the 2017 edp. Have you tried miss Dior absolutely blooming? Coco mademoiselle might also be a good option
My guess besides regulations is that Miss Dior is an iconic perfume for the young ladies who are buying their first “expensive “ and grown up perfume , a bit of like Coco mademoiselle… so with each reformulation they are trying to attract the new generation of young women so they can make Miss Dior their signature scent

I am so disappointed. I haven’t had a chance to try the new formulation yet but anyone who watches my videos knows the 2017 was my all time favorite daytime scent for women and it sounds as though they’ve just ruined it. 😢 I’ve stocked up already on 2 bottles and I’m tempted to buy more. The 2017 is all I need in a perfume. And now it’s gone :(

Yes!! Did all the 2017s sell out? It's like they just disappeared. There are a few US based stores that still have it, like 2 haha. But for real, this new one sucks. Ilythia, if you can get Dossier perfumes, they did a dupe of the 2017.
So basically, they've watered down their formula, changed the bottle to make it cheaper and are charging the same price 🤔

I tested this new dior edp yesterday, went for a run, showered and after that I went to bed. The next morning I could still smell the parfume very well

My all time favourite was Miss Dior Chérie, and I thought the 2012 version was pretty close and should've been left alone from that point on. The 2017 version was too sweet for my liking. I don't understand why they keep reformulating it when the consumers have been asking for ONE thing for over 15 years : just bring back Chérie 2005

As far as the 2021, I love it! At first it’s all over the place: sweet, musky, floral and powdery. But after it settles, it’s amazing! The scent trail it leaves is beautiful.

They pretty much gutted that fragrance. The same thing happened to J’adore.
Why does Dior do this all the time? The original Dune from the 90s was my favorite perfume and today it’s but a shadow of its former self. Same thing with Addict. And they just keep doing it. Why alienate your customer base with constant reformulation?!
When they changed the formula on the beloved “cherie” I quit Dior all together. They can’t be trusted. Won’t own a thing from them!
And they discontinued Midnight and Tendre Poison! 😒

I smelled this yesterday on a friend I haven't seen in like 2 yrs. I'm so impressed! I am picky about perfumes but this really captured me. I just might buy some even though it's really expensive. I own Pure Poison and it's my non-offensive, fancy feminine scent. This just may become my second. I love that the sandalwood really harmonizes with the florals. Love!
That white bottle used in the new ads would have been so much more interesting...
Horrible move, Dior. Everything about it screams cheaper, cutting corners. A fabric bow? No patchouli? Lily of the valley? A few tiny centimeters of pure luxury? 😒 Sure Dior, whatever you gotta say to keep your loyal sheep happy. What's sad is people will keep buying it and it will probably sell pretty well, only enabling these brands to keep on with their shenanigans. I personally don't care for the 2017. '05 Cherie, 2012 and Absolutely Blooming have my affections. But I know the pain and frustration. Dior is absolutely notorious for this. Sadly we should have expected this. Every four years or so since 2005 Dior has given Miss Dior (Cherie) edp a makeover. Why should we have assumed they'd stop at 2017? This is her sixth surgery now. I'm sort of numb to it at this point. It is a sad reminder that such is the way for a perfume lover.

THE NEW MISS DIOR IOS AWFUL, I GOT THE FULL SIZE AND ROLLER BALL, ROLLERBALL THIS STUFF STAYS ON VERY STRONG ALL NITE,I HAD TO WASH OFF THATS HOW STRONG AND LONG LASTING IT AS,I PREFER THE 2018 VERSION THANK GOD I HAVE 2 BIG BOTTLES. So here's a fun tidbit on why they won't just bring back the original Miss Dior Cherie from 2005 -- Dior beauty was bought out by LVMH back in 2011 when the first reformulation happened. The original perfumer, Christine Nagel, is Swiss and works for the company Givaudan -- therefore LVMH didn't have the rights to her amazing strawberry popcorn concoction that we all miss. So now we have a hundred different versions of Miss Dior, all by Francois Demachy who just can't seem to capture the essence that Nagel could.
oh well that sucks. am I deceiving myself thinking maybe someday they'll get the rights to the formula and bring out the perfume again? lol thanks a lot for the explanation :)

I recommend going through her profile on Fragrantica to see everything she's created -- I find a lot of the fragrances in my collection were made by a lot of the same perfumers, so even if the fragrances aren't identical, it still has the perfumer's signature in there somewhere. www.fragrantica.com/noses/Christine_Nagel.html

I tried the new Miss Dior EDP. And I’m pretty surprised by the fragrance. For sure it’s more delicate than the previous one but it last pretty good and pretty well. I tried it on my skin in the morning and the scent was there until the end of the afternoon. And that was a big surprise for me.
The scent is definitely more flourish but there is a sweetness around it and then a creamy suave finish. Bravo Mr Demashy for that new one. 👌🏾👍🏾

Ah man....the new bottle is hideous with that cloth bow. On a whim I searched for Miss Dior Cherie on this online marketplace where I live and luckily found a 2005 bottle and purchased literally 5 seconds ago. I am also going to buy the 2017 version before it's sold out cause this 2021 really isn't it. They are absolutely cheapening the line now.
I've tried it and it's rubbish,the scent fades away in an instant.

So sad whenever a perfume discontinues... I've tried the sample of the new miss Dior eau de parfum today and I don't know how I feel about it. The old metal bow looks more expensive. The floral scent of the new version died down after 30mins and then it left me with a strong vanilla scent.

I tried this today in my local Pharmacy and the performance is shockingly bad it had vanished off my skin and clothes !,, in 10 minutes….. it smells really lovely, I do like lily of the valley …………but is not a fragrance I will invest in …..

Absolutely Blooming's lasting power is so BAD on my skin. I love the scent, but an hour after spaying it I can barely smell it on my skin.

Why on earth do people change the formulation so much? This fragrance is one of the only perfumes I've ever heard people have to specify what year is their favorite version. It's sad. Also "fresh" was what you get from others in the line. Miss Dior was a heavier, signature scent worthy, deeper, patchouli bouquet. Miss Dior and "lily of the valley" don't belong together in the same sentence.

I don't remember the date of the miss Dior Cherie I loved. But I remember it had popcorn and caramel notes. I want it back so bad :(
As a brand new perfume it may well deepen with a bit of age, I’m excited to try it but expectations are low, maybe they’re aiming at a younger market again. The 2017 is quite heavy and almost Middle Eastern in its rich patch / rose / amber feel so probably not that popular with the younglings.

Wow, looking at the comments down below a looooot of people don't like it. But I sprayed it on me yesterday at the store and to my surprise I loved it! 😍😍😍 Very sweet floral on me. For me it is very surprising I love it so much, coz I'm normally for the sweet vanilla kinda scents, not the floral ones. It says on the website there's vanilla and tonkabean? I don't get that at all 🤷🏼♀️ Also sprayed it on in the morning and lasted all day on me.

I own all the versions of Miss Dior and 2021 is my favorite. It is versatile elegante sweet girly or womanly just gorgeous. Not heavy in your face type but amazingly long lasting.

I don’t personally own any Dior fragrances because they are not cruelty-free, but if I could, I would definitely get Absolutely Blooming! Such a beautiful scent.

So glad I got myself a100 ml of the 2017 version the other day ,cause I know once the new one hits the market ; it will become complicated to be sure which version you’ll be getting when you’ll order online on different sites

They keep on reformulating Miss Dior in order to follow trend and copying the best sellers of other brands. Made Miss Dior lost her own uniqueness

I just sprayed the new 2021 version on my skin and the first thing I could think of.... This smells exactly like Vera Wang Princess on me.
Edit : I purchased the 100ml bottle of this new 2021 Miss Dior edp (125€). And as I expected... the smell is not as good as the 2017 version. It’s very light, weak, I can’t barely smell it. It’s like diluded or something. The patchouli is gone, the woodiness is gone, the citrus is gone. All is left is a small floral scent and a rose scent and a bit of that « lipstick smell » that Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming got. I’m disappointed but I’ll still wear it because it’s not bad.

It actually sounds like something I would like more than the 2012 or 2017 actually. I decluttered that one a few years back. Anyways I thought it was too heavy and mature so maybe I would like this one more. Or maybe I should just get Blooming Bouquet!

Dior say they want to be on top of trends and that's why they have to discontinue and reformulate perfumes constantly. But come on, version 2017 and the next one is in 2021, seriously? It can't be that old-fashion perfume by now. 2017 EDP was the first Miss Dior which didn't smell so similar to Coco Mademoiselle to me, I own it and love it. I wouldn't stock up on it though as I find Dior perfumes go bad rather quickly compared to other brands. For some reason. But this Dior's trend on weak perfumes really worries me. I can feel basically nothing when I smell Joy, I can at least smell Joy intense but overall performance sucks, so now they did this to the new Miss Dior EDP, okay, Dior......

From Dior it is my favorite . Not really into the other Dior fragrances . They are all beautiful but not my style . I used to be obsessed with the one that had the popcorn note . Thank you for sharing with such detail. Love how you describe the notes .
