It may have been her wish. She was a very humble and pious lady. She came from an illustrious family and married into another, so this may have been a way to show humility to god.

I have looked at the films on RUclips and cannot see anyone from the British Royal Family there, although the other European royals were all present. One would expect Prince Charles or Princess Anne to have attended - if so one cannot see them. Queen Elizabeth II attended the funeral of King Badouin (exceptionally as she did not attend funerals of other European royals) some 15 years earlier.
