  • Bank of North Dakota’s College Handbook (collegehandboo...) is your resource for career planning information!
Apprenticeships are occupational training programs that immerse the apprentice into both classroom learning and on the job training from professionals in that field.
Apprenticeship programs are built on an earn while you learn model, which means that you earn a wage while you’re learning the specific skills you’re going to need to work independently as a journeyman or master in industries like electrical work, welding or even healthcare and IT.
Registered apprenticeship programs allow workers to develop skills in well-paid careers across a variety of industries, give workers industry recognized credentials and are proven to help retain employment, with an average annual salary of $70,000!
To find an apprenticeship, you can visit the Registered Apprenticeship portion of the Job Service North Dakota website or the website of the union you’re interested in joining. If you’re looking nationally, you could visit apprenticeship.gov instead.
For more career planning information, you can visit Job Service North Dakota’s website (www.jobsnd.com/) or Bank of North Dakota’s College Handbook (collegehandboo...) for more information.
