Miguel O’Hara, one of my most favorite Spider-themed characters who are not Peter Parker.
@SpaceDiino silk, 2099 gwen, miles all right answers
Same.
Spider themed? It’s Spider-Man.
@@katynnewcomb5870 "who are not Peter Parker."
@@noxy539 why did you quote that? Has nothing to do with what I said.
He didn't get all the powers of earth 616 tho. He doesn't have spider sense
Yea but all his other senses are enhanced
@@nebby6775 not the same thing
@@Zarathossss kind of is
@@bemusedcanon2829 here's the thing, having his senses heightened and all is great. However the concept of how it is different is like this :
You're basically using the same senses but at a better range, but it doesn't change the fact that you could still ignore a sense if your mind is focused on another. For example, you could see and hear things but once you focus your sight on someone or something. It will ignore your awareness with other senses. The spider sense warns you whenever you're in danger. Yeah the spider sense is pretty op
@@nebby6775 sadly it isn't comparable though as spidey sense it just powerful as it is shown as a precognitive ability and can let a user react before any other senses pretty much (enhanced or not)
He didn't wanted to become Spiderman at all it was an accident wtf. Becoming Spiderman was his only way to survive
THANK YOU!!! I was waiting for someone to say that!!!!
Origins differ, maybe in condensing a lot of info some stuff slipped through and the more "heroic" idea was brought up instead
That's what I was thinking. I was listening to their "origin" and got confused. I was about to go get my 2099 comics I got way back when because I could have swore he was a chemist who was forced in to developing street drugs. In the end, being given those drugs by the person forcing him to make them he had made something to save his life that resulted in him gaining Spider-Man like powers. Something along those lines. I still may go dig my old comics up and read those issues again to refresh my memory.
Maybe there was a re-issue where it was changed? I mean I did stop reading comics like 20 or so years ago.
@@KhawChing that's the actual origin of spider man 2099,which I remembered from the comics
His boss drug with a drug guaranteed to make him addict , Miguel tried to use a machine he was working on to help cure him but it got sabotaged, I think can't exactly also the machine was clear for human trials properly which I believe sparked the conflict between him and the boss.
1 Miguel got his powers in an accident trying to cure himself of a drug addiction that was forced on him but the experiment was sabotaged 2 Miguel doesn’t have all Pete’s powers, he can’t stick, he has claws, he has no spider sense, he has enhanced senses and telepathy, he also has organic webs
I’m
Pretty sure Miguel can stick
@@KiddArachnid Not like Peter does. Miguel can crawl on walls because of talons on his fingers and toes.
Kinda like how Wolverine can sometimes scale buildings and trees with his adamantium claws.
@@JohnSmith-lt1ck Wouldn't that, in a way, make his grip stronger than Pete's? I mean a rock climber digging their fingers into a mountain versus a guy who only has to maintain his body's pose, both would have the same endurance but I'd bet Miguel could break a neck with one hand without taking into account the super strength
@@JohnSmith-lt1ck Miguel can stick, it only uses different mechanics. Peter also can't "Stick" to a wall.
It's thanks to body hair-like appendages that sticks to a wall's "pores", in the same way Miguel uses his talons to do it.
It's in no way like Wolverine's.
Miguel has no loss in utility with his method.
@@bloody4558hat's the movie explanation, in some stories it's a static effect. Thats where miles electric shock was inspired from
The famous fictional Irish/Mexican-American male character who is also became Spider-Man, co-created by Peter David.
Yeah
Ok?
@무현 yes
Like the young Justice writer? That Peter David?
I love Spider-Man 2099 costume design.
He has the best outfit of all the spidermen
Its also in spiderman play station game
@@birinderwarraich1179 no he isn't
@@Bean_Pablo the suit is
I love the white version of 2099 suit.
Fun fact the real inheritor of the spider-man mantle was actually supposed to be Miguel. He is the only spider-man to appear in video games and comoc books way before Miles.
A Miguel O’Hara animated series, that’s not for 5 year olds, would be awesome. They could do a lot being creative with future technology and architecture too.
Spider-Man: Unlimited (but probably no furries this time and no pre-2000 tv censorship laws)
Man I miss that show, I think Im one of the few people who liked it lmao
they made spiderman unlimited but which earth spideys is that
Absolutely! Since he can have cool comic series, he deserves his own animated series as well.
He couldn’t get the 6th sense, so he maxed out the other five 💀💀
maxed out and add another ability organic web, talons, fangs 🤣
@@yanduro3434 and venom glands plus higher regeneration
@1Vante spidey sense
One of my top 8 favorite characters with Spider-like abilities who aren’t Peter Parker.
We can’t wait to see famous film actor Oscar Issac who is voicing Miguel O’Hara in ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.’
I’ve played as 2099 and Noir in that Spider-Man wii game. That was one of the best games I’d ever played at the time
Shattered dimensions not g
Just a Wii game and it had a follow up edge of time
You forgot to tell that in 2099 original storyline, which is earth-928, he became a god, wielded thor's hammer, became a leader of humanity, lived thousand years, bringing prosperity and making humanity galaxywide.
Actually there’s a couple problems with this explanation. Miguel didn’t want to make himself into spider man, he wanted to make someone else spider man but he accidentally gave himself the powers. He doesn’t have wall crawling power, at least not like how Peter Parker did. His fangs also have a paralyzing venom inside of them
and he also doesnt have spider sense
@@jboogie8995 correct, i forgot to mention that, good catch my man
@@jboogie8995 but he has much better senses all around, to the point where he pretty much replicates what spider sense does, but through skill instead of a cheat.
@@bloody4558 ya that soooo true. Damn I love these comics, there’s always something new to learn about them wouldn’t you say?
Fun fact: spiderman 2099 suit is stated to be a black suit but because of the shading at the time they gave him blue shading (kinda like venom). However this started the misconception that his suit was blue until it became so popular they made his suit blue.
More like Spider-Man cuz Spider-Man originally black and red but bcs of the lighting in the comic made the black more like blue so ppl think Spider-Man color are red and blue ,and they also always use red and blue for live action
Blue and red is just better anyway
He was researching spider-mans powers, yes. But he didn't intentionally give himself powers. He was trying to rid himself of an addiction a drug that was slipped into his drink by his boss after he attempted to quit his job. One of his lab mates switched the machine to merge his dna with spider dna, giving him super strength, talons on all of his digits and the other powers mentioned in the video.
Spider-Man 2099 is the best Spider-Man hope we get a tv series about him someday
Spider verse 2
Bro, actually Miguel O'Hara wasn't happy about his job at Alchemax. So, his boss framed and drugged him. By doing so, O'Hara couldn't be fired, as Alchemax has the tech to make the drug he became addicted. Then, Miguel became Spiderman by accident, when he tried to cure himself by restoring his own body, and one of his coworkers made a sabotage at the machine, making a fusion of Miguel's DNA with spider's DNA.
You forgot to mention that he doesn't have spider sense.
Miguel O'Hara is the Vampire in Across the spider verse...Lock my words
You were right lol
He's not a vampire bud. The fangs are part of his moves
It’s fangs that he gets as a result of his DNA being merged with that of an actual spider.
Okay, he’s awesome, but to say he’s more powerful than Peter Parker is a bit of a stretch. Also, he wasn’t experimenting to become Spiderman, he was experimenting to cure an addiction to a drug given to him by Alchemax.
Most badass character from the mvoie
No Spider-Sense, No wall crawling without claws. He’s different
Also wasn't trying to be Spider-Man.
I watched the movie and they protayed him AMAZINGLY!! Even the theme of him makes his atmophare so good!
Spider-Man 2099 is my favorite Superhero from The 2099 storyline of all time.
I thought this story was gonna end up like reverse flash💀💀
He did at one point go back in Time and slept with Mary Jane while Peter was out trying to survive 💀
@@baligong3592 "it was me Peter..."
Stop sugarcoating who he was, he didn't care about the power or people, he was experimenting because of the company he was working for
He cared about ppl
@@diamonshade7484 yeah after he gets powers he wasn't focused on anyone but his own survival he by chance became Spider-Man and then he became a hero he had no intention of doing so before.
@@jfoster8624 I meant before
@@jfoster8624 isn’t that basically how most popular renditions of spider man get started? Why ostracize this dude for following the same idea?
@@jfoster8624 isn't that the same as peter where he did allowed a robber to escape lmao, wait even worse, he had powers at that time
Miguel O'hara 2099 Spider-man is one of my favourite Spider-mans because I grew up reading the 2099 comics.
Having an organic web is enough to make you one of the most powerful spiderman
I feel like Spider-Man 2099's power is the closest to a spider - organic webbing, talons for wall-crawling (coz tbh all spiders use 'claws'), venomous fangs, and.... I honestly never really heard about spiders having some precognitive reflexes, but I agree with heightened senses.
he intented to cure the side effects of drug addiction and not to turn himself into spider-man, it was an accident made by his coworker.
Misinformation 😮
My favorite Spiderman. Spider man dimensions rly showed me this character. Love him
Maybe some animals, insects etc evolve a bit cuz its 100years in the future so thats why he got some bonuses?
Actually he didn’t get every power that Peter had. He got some of them along with ones Peter didn’t posses
He doesn't have spider sense which is the key component of why spider man is able to humble the marvel universe
My favorite spidey
I'd say this guy kicks asses and doesn't hold back.
He basically put so much points into all his other senses he didn’t have enough for the sixth sense
Average Person: Spider Man 2099 Is The Best Spider Man
Me: Cosmic Spider-Man Has Left The Chat*
Slightly false, he doesn’t receive spider sense which is what every other Spider-Man has except him
It seems that Madame Web upgraded his powers so he got spider sense now
@@joaoguilherme5702 Where from?
Most iterations I know of are just heightened senses, like his hearing and vision is just heightened like Daredevil, but minus the blindness.
And hasn't Miguel O'hara been like displaced out of time in the 616 universe? Like stuck in the past? I haven't read the comics but he's still my favorite version of spider-man.
He came out around all 2099 comic line : X-Men 2099/Punisher 2099, with both having their emblems looking similar;( eg.ie. the ☠️ ;)
I'm here after watching the movie and i gotta say i love this guy
Isn't he the villain?
He doesn't have spuder sense he doesn't wall crawl in the same way and he has organic webs.
I have cleaned out comic book stores in order to acquire a huge collection of a Spider-man 2099 comics. Having done so, I should mention that Miguel O'Hara is quite different from Peter Parker. While it's true that just like Parker, Miguel acquired superhuman strength, speed, agility, reflexes, durability, and enhanced healing, that is where their similarities end. Where as Parker can adhere any part of his body to solid surfaces in order to cling to them, Miguel is only able to cling to surfaces by using the inch long razor sharp talons that grew at the tips of each of his fingers and toes. Miguel's upper canine teeth also elongated into fangs which contain venom glands, enabling him to inject a non-toxic paralysis inducing venom into anyone he bites. Also, unlike Peter, Miguel doesn't have a Spider-Sense ability. Instead he has incredibly enhanced senses of vision and hearing, allowing him to hear noises from miles away, see in complete darkness, and accurately make out far out and fast moving objects with ease. Also, unlike Peter, Miguel can produce his own webbing, due to having natural spinnerets on the tops of both of his forearms.
Sounds like he got the responsibility and then started looking for the power
Amazing way to describe it. Heh.
he can lift mjolnir, him and cosmic spider-man are easily some of the strongest spider-verse characters
Isn’t he the one who gained the spider powers while trying to get rid of an addiction?
Yep
Miguel O'Hara is the most favorite Spider character
I heard that Oscar Isaac gonna be the voice actor for him
ITSV released 2018, ATSV released this year
The most underrated Spider-man!
I thought that's noir
He actually doesn’t have all the powers he doesn’t have spider senses just heightened hearing and sight and he can’t stick to walls he has to use his claws to do that
Just to be clear he didn’t get any of the powers 616 did. Instead of sticky hands he got claws to climb, he got fangs and venom glands as well as increased vision and hearing but he did not get the degree of super strength 616 has and of course he does not have spider sense.
I mean he cant stick to walls like the rest of the Spider- gang but he can use his talons/ claws to tear his way and climb/ crawl that way. And honestly he’s the only Spider-Man that makes sense regarding to sticking to Walls . Since all the other Spider-people cover hands, fingers, and feet.
Black panther & Spiderman fusion 😅
He doesn't have spider-sense, so not all the powers of the original spider-man.
But Miguel doesn't have a spider sense and can't stick to walls only climb on them with his talons
The younger generation watching this:
“Hmhmhm yes I see”
OGs who played Spider-Man: edge of time:
“Do not cite the magic to me, I was there when it was written”
leaving one thing "spider sense "
Literally a superior spiderman in every way
Bro I looked up how many more years until 2099 and dude I’m gonna be 92, guess I’ll be someone’s uncle Ben.
Grandpa Ben
Miguel O'Hara Spider-Man 2099, one of my favourites Spider-Man other than Peter Parker's Spider-Man.
Batman beyond called. He said, "what's good?"
He doesn’t have spider sense tho
He was the version of spiderman that has natural web spinning from his wrists
He was so aggressive
Ps5 Miles morales : Oh you poor poor thing ,you forgot I have venom power
In 2099 this will just be spider man
One of my favorite spiderman.
He’s my favourite Spider-Man ever since I first played edge of time. In the new film I thought he seemed so different but no, he’s still sort of the same, in the spider verse comic he was the recruiter and in a way he is here. I think he’s a total upgrade here… even appearance wise like sheesh
The future scares me a little
His enhanced sight and reflexes are to make up for his lack of spider sense. He didn’t gain anything more than Peter, he actually lost some benefits
no he did not.
peter has hairs on his fingers that helps his stick to stuff
miguel has talons on his fingers that helps him stick to stuff
peter has spidersenses.
miguel has enhanced hearing and vision to the point where he can hear you from across the city💀
miguel aint lose shi
@@LilTaterTot.. the lack of spider sense and less reliable ability to climb surfaces are definitely downgrades
@@krillin2699 his strength makes up for his mobility and movement. he's still agile to the point where he can dodge bullets effortlessly. tbh look up 2099 spidey feats you'll be amazed. he's so strong he basically super leaps off objects similar to the hulk and web swings differently. kinda like a buff guy tryna attempt it
@@krillin2699 miguel is fine bruh. he's literally the coolest spiderman we seen so far and he basically has swords in his wrist along with talons on his fingers. he's one of the most deadly
@@LilTaterTot.. you’re thinking of the second scarlet spider when you mention the swords in his wrists. The talons are pretty small so not very useful in combat and mainly for climbing. He is a weaker Spider-Man, and the writers have said so themselves in his comics
Srsly when i saw Spiderman 2099 i feel in love with his character i mean his suit itself is cool as heck what else do u need and i LOVED those batman like claw things on his arm and the colour combo was the best imo
Nice to know that many of you guys knew Miguel was trying to get rid of an addiction.
Did you know that the addiction problem was never real?
Miguel was tricked by his boss into taking a drug. But the drug wasn’t the real deal. Just something meant to mimic the effects for only three days at most. It was just supposed to scare him.
Spider-Man 2099 #25.
Fun fact, if u refer to Shattered Dimensions, 2099 has acceleration AND gliding powers
The only thing miguel doesnt have that peter has is his spider sense which is really op but what miguel got to instead was his super enchance 5 senses
Organic webbing
I love how he spread his legs

Edge of time really shows how strong spider man 2099 is specially the boss with Anti Venom
My favorite Spider-Man from the game
I think he's the Blue Panther
2099 is my favorite spiderman!!
This is my favorite version of spiderman
He can’t stick to surfaces and he doesn’t have a spider sense, so he didn’t get all the spider powers.
I like his comics
Forgot to add that he's sensitive to light and I believe he lacks a spider sense.
he is the anomaly
My favorite spiderman ❤️
He didn't want to become spiderman he was trying to create a hero similar to spiderman, he become spiderman because he had too
Miguel O'Hara has a very different power set compare to the present spider man
He’s also a vampire!
Actually he didn’t get all the powers he doesn’t have spidey sense or stick to walls that’s why he had the arm claws to climb
Might not be a popular opinion but I love both of his suit designs even more than the Ultimate spider suit. He is simply badass and he doesn't become Spiderman because a spider bit him. But he chose it for himself
Actually the company Alchemax drugged him,got him addicted to a synthetic drug...so basically he made a serum to try to alter the affects but it changed him even more...this version of Spiderman is more bold & awesome ...his costume is a dia de Los muertos costume..plus added gliders to his suit.
He didn't TRY to become Spider-Man tho??? He also doesn't have ALL of 616 Spider-Man's powers.
I'm not entirely sure you actually know much about 2099 Spidey, this is very inaccurate.
Heck Yeah!!!
I also love his suit design. It’s better than scarlet spider’s suit.
He doesn’t have spider sense tho…
Debatably the most important power
I love him, but sometimes I forget that he has talons on his feet, which he uses to “stick” to walls.
I thought Spiderman 2099 is the same peter parker but he travel into the future 🤣
You forgot that he has organic web
