Im rooting for byu. Hopefully they win the team title. I like the teams that are not too dependent of african transfers. The easy way out for all the school programs are just to transfer african runners.
No one batted an eye when NAU had all New Zealanders on their back to back championship teams but that's ok cause they were white. Just say you're racist and be done with it.
BYU abuses the Mormon mission system to get 6+ years out of their varsity squad. But at least they develop their runners out of high school. That being said I’d rather pull for a team that has college-aged talent
@@calvinonmc BYU runners have the same number of years of eligibility as any other school, which is 4 (plus a Covid year). The only difference is many choose to go on missions, which is two years of doing anything but training, so they have two years longer to use up those 4 years. They're not like the Kenyans entering as 28-year old freshmen with decades of uninterrupted training. BYU is good because the runners are great high school runners. Utah teams have been dominating at nationals lately. And if you think BYU is better because the runners are older, then how do you explain why the women's team is so good if they don't go on missions?
I think Habtom has to be favorite specifically over Solomon kipchoge. Habtom fell at regionals in the first 200m and spent the whole race clawing back to the front.

If NC State has Stephens back, EVERYTHING changes.
