    What’ll a delightful tutorial. I enjoyed the technique of making the waffle pattern, and I liked learning about the double shading. Thanks!

    I must have just found this tutorial (and channel ) just after you posted. Followed along and love the result! I am VERY new to Procreate since I only received my ipad pro a couple of days ago but have been meaning to go digital for some time.
    You most certainly deserve the thumbs up! Subscribed! Thanks so much! Now I'm really excited to try the other tutorials!

      haha, thank you so much 🥰 My wife is doing these art shows, she makes wooden sculptures/classes, and I have had stickers on my mind because I think it's something I could sell there alongside her stuff. A lot of people around here have water bottle and they put stickers all over. It would be fun at least 😂😂

    Enjoyed that tutorial, thanks! Mine wasn’t as convincing as yours though… I need to work on shadow more so I can create a more intuitive sense of depth! 😌

      thank you so much! I think it might help to look at photos of ice cream and try to copy the shadows from that. The ice cream shape is a bit complex. especially with multiple scoops.

    Hey Calvin! I love your tips and tutorials! I wanted to ask you if you knew about the clipping mask instead of erasing! You can also use the layer select, invert, and clear to erase so you don’t have to spend time manually erasing. 😊 5:13

    • @calvinatdrifterstudio8438
      @calvinatdrifterstudio8438  Год назад +2

      Thank you so much! Since I can fast forward in the videos, I try to keep it as basic as I can because I'm worried that the video may appear too advanced for beginners. A lot of beginners would definitely do well to get comfortable with masks but I think it could feel to technical. What do you think? I often have this kind of dilemma when I structure my videos. It's probably OK to include at least one time saving tricks in a video, that probably wouldn't be too distracting. The straightforward method of painting definitely takes longer to paint, but explaining a shortcut in my video will paradoxically make the tutorial longer because I can't fast forward through those more complicated explanations 😂😂

      @@calvinatdrifterstudio8438 I didn’t even think about that! Plus your content is more relaxing and Bob Ross-like tutorials in my opinion. So I suppose in a way, I would be taking my time following your tutorial anyway! Maybe if you had a really quick tutorial you could include some time saving tricks and just make a note in the title like “+ Time Saving Eraser Trick” or something.

    Calvin, thanks for your video, but I have trouble finding the right part for shadow when I drawing myself

    • @calvinatdrifterstudio8438
      @calvinatdrifterstudio8438  Год назад

      Do you have any modeling clay? You can form a little cartoon/simple Ice cream out of clay and see how the shadows are forming. This really helps me :}

    • @xinfangmin3665
      @xinfangmin3665 Год назад

      @@calvinatdrifterstudio8438 Thanks! I will buy some modeling clay for fun and see the shadows. And it just never occurs to me that other objects have shadows all the time as well and it is related to the light source. Too much screen time maybe🤭

    I'm not sure why when I click on a layer, the opacity bar doesn't show up? 😣

    • @CorbieHood
      @CorbieHood 9 месяцев назад +1

      Try clicking on the layer and click the “N” next to the check mark and that’ll give you the opacity bar.
