- Here's how to paint a procreate watercolor children's book style landscape illustration in procreate. This is a great procreate tutorial for beginners and advanced painters alike.
👉🏼STUFF I USED FOR THIS VIDEO 😌
I used a combination of brushes and a paper texture for this project:
- FREE House Texture Brush kit (small version): www.mediafire....
- Little pine/gloaming brush (in the Drawing tab/Procreate Brush Library)
- Compressed charcoal (In the charcoal tab/Procreate Brush Library)
-Fineliner Pen/Abstract Round/Sharp Round (Amazing watercolor for procreate kit, link below)
-Blacksands paper texture (this is the light gritty effect)
The watercolor brushes and the paper texture are products I sell on my etsy store to support the channel. These tools help you create organic looking watercolor-textures in Procreate.

I wrote a few children’s book and now I’m trying to teach my self to illustrate them. Thank you for these tutorials!
If your canvas is smaller and the house siding textures are too big, a trick is to fill the entire canvas with the texture and then use the transform tool to shrink said texture to a better fitting size. Then just erase whatever left over!

I loveee this tutorial. It’s amazing how I’ve been following you and I hadn’t seen this video yet I had this painting saved on Pinterest to try out once I could finally get the watercolor brush set and start practicing. As somebody who wants to start from scratch and doesn’t know anything about watercolor it gets hard to follow the tutorials if I don’t have the same brushes. Hope I can buy them one of these days. Love how simple you make everything look, gives me hope that I can learn using the tuts.

Fantastic video. I know I’m late, working on getting back into drawing and your videos are always just what I need. You make everything feel so simple that it allows me to get out of my head. I forget, do you have a class/course/Patreon or something?
Thank you so much! please visit my channel anytime you need ideas ☺️ I don't have any courses right now but I will try that eventually. Making videos and narrating them is far outside of my normal interests and it's taken a long time to get comfortable with it. If I can just get a little better at this, I will be able to do entire videos without lots of mistakes and this will reduce the time I spent editing and retaking (Currently just one 15 minute video is taking around 25-30 hours of work). So courses are just something I don't have time for yet. If I can't get my editing time down, I will have to hire a video editor.

usually you can just tap on the file and it will go to procreate automatically. Do you see any errors 🤔? If you message me on Etsy we can chat sort of like Messenger and attach screenshots 😁. I would love to help you get them working
The texture on the houses - I downloaded the free brushes, but when I try and adjust the size (i.e. of the "stripes" on the house) the brush size changes but the stripes themselves stay the same. How can I make them smaller?

The watercolor kit is worth every dollar. I use the abstract round brush every day. That and the fine liner brush. The water blender brush is the best brush in all of Procreate, and I don’t know what I would do without it.
He sells his own watercolor brush set and it's absolutely amazing. Right out the door, you're making these beautiful pieces with minimal effort. Totally recommend.

Hi! My videos use watercolor brushes that I sell in my Etsy store, linked in the description. You can follow this tutorial with any brushes but I sell my own brushes to support the channel. Procreate doesn't have any brushes specifically for watercolor, so my goal with this channel is to develop the best solution for that.
