  • NEW DELHI: As the dynamics of war fighting keeps changing, national security paradigms need to keep pace. This holds good for a country like India that’s up against an adversary such as China. The biggest challenge now is how to transit from an industrial ear military to a digital era military, says Lt Gen. Raj Shukla, GOC-in-Chief of Army Training Command (ARTRAC). Speaking to StratNews Global Editor-in-Chief Nitin A. Gokhale, he emphasized the need to fuse civil and military capabilities to boost the defence ecosystem as the need for multi-domain operations assume critical importance.

Nitin, I was wondering why doesn't India create a Dedicated RIOT Force and revamp the police force? Would be thrilled if you could dedicate a video on this topic in the future. Being able to control internal challenges effectively would be very beneficial. And where can I contact you (email etc.).

A glimpse of mind from defence establishment. brilliant one, Nitin Bhai. We need TOTAL DEFENCE. All relevant organs of the country to get united and build defence. Threat is good. SYNERGY is in need. Very happy to learn that defence establishment is thinking of 'Failure Funding'. Symptoms of maturity.
Good 17 mins, Nitin Bhai, Bravo.

Honestly, it will take years and years before our home grown defense industry catches up with the quality of the Western armaments. Until that time we must simultaneously continue procuring top-quality Western fighting machines. Things like buying another few squadron of Rafael, swarm drones, anti-drone technologies should be our top priority.

Just felt after completion of the convo that 15 mins from such an amazing mind an a wholesome Gen is perhaps too little for us😄 Anyways, thank you Nitin sir for this one. Certainly pumped up to know that the grey zone warfare tactics are being studied within the civil-military circles and sure of that it'll be designed and practiced in our own unique ways😄🎉

Sir may be a request you can put forward to government.
Every indian citizen must serve in army twice in his lifetime for X amount of months, starting from age of 18 years to 45 years. Have the civilian choose their time of when do they want to get trained.
And they can get trained and do anything - holding a gun on border may not be necessary.
The benefit of this could be 1). People will come to know the army life. 2). All these religion and cast nonsense shall automatically go away cause army has a unified culture. 3). People will be more descipline and patriotic.
Give them points and link them with aadhar, give benefit like train journey at reduce rate, less loan interest from government Bank, free health insurance etc.

Nitinji.. just to ask military seniors next time you discuss sir.
"Can our military (all branches) determine the future theoretical capabilities first. From which military work with Sr.scientists and professors to determine theoretical instruments, devices, weapons, etc needed to achieve those perceived capabilities. Then share these papers to our sci-tech organizations like DRDO, ADA, GTRE, etc who can try create the actual real devices and machines."
For now, seems like India is just catching up with western military concepts and machines- kind of copying what others 'created'. Wish we surprise the world with completely new concepts and devices. May be like, create a targeted tsunami to wipe off man made islands, remotely targeted earthquakes to mess up tunnels dug around remote mountains, target sun heat on a specific base from the sky during day or night.. etc. While i stand with my question above, my examples here are just per say just to give sense of what my question is.

If India considers, National Security most important, specially on its Northern Border from Ladhak in the west to Arunachal in the East. India had Tibet as its most peaceful Northern Neighbor for centuries and there was no need to spend crores of Rupees to safe guard the Northern Indo-Tibet Border. Things changed drastically after the occupation of Tibet in 1950 and thereafter India’s great mistake of recognition of Tibet as apart of China. The story does not end here. For decades China is nibbling Indian territories and laying claims in Ladhak and in Arunachal and also spends millions of Rupees per day to guard the Borders. Now time has come for India to show your guts to say to China Politically, that they are sitting on an occupied country Tibet and India will never negotiate on LOC/LAC on the Indo-Tibet Border and that Chinese PLA should disappear from the whole of Indo-Tibet Border. This is the naked truth and India should act now. I see this as the only solution and talks will never bring results with the Chinese, they will keep on dragging India as long as it may take.

    Hinduism means being Weak.
We always react. Every war we react not ACT.
Need to Change Fundamentals of Fkn Weak Hinduism.
We need to Act, India can take Burma first and than easily Tibet but India need a Military govt as even Modi Govt is strong but still its Hindu Govt n Hindu Means Weak Govt.
Only Indian Army Govt can give us Hindus what we deserve.
Hindu Pride is saved by Army not by Congress or Bjp, both are fighting for power not for Hindu/Sikh Honour.
Last Hindu/Sikh honour was Sikh Empire and thats why India has Ladah n Leh orherwise these were always Chinese.
