    I've just bought the Big Agnes Skyline Stool to try and be my ultralight stool for when I'm on the CRF450L and doing the TET etc, might also take when I'm wild camping on foot. Not used it in anger yet, but most reviews of it seem quite positive. I can't stand laying down in a tent for hours, one of the worst things about winter camping is the long nights in the tent. Like your thoughts tho on a lower chair for using in a lightweight tent, so thanks for the idea!

    • @thecampingbiker791
      @thecampingbiker791  Год назад

      The Skyline Stool looks a good bit of kit and strong at that. You’re so right about long winter nights while camping, gets to a point where you can only get in your sleeping bag 😂 but I’m looking forward to using my Helinox inside the tent and wrapped up should be comfy.. also want to do some backpacking in summer so nice and light for carrying.. thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏻

      @@thecampingbiker791 I had a revelation last night, I worked out that with a bit of paracord looped round the stand bit of my iPad case I could hang my iPad from something (roof of the tent) and then watch movies with the iPad at head height so I don't have to have it on my knees or on my table. It's a silly thing really but a few little things makes an evening in the tent more comfortable. The biggest problem is what to download for the trip! Thanks mate, appreciate what you do, always worth watching

    This is great. I have been thinking about getting the Ground Chair to use with/in my Nordisk Telemark 2 which is 100cm high internally. Your tent appears to be 95cm internally. So it looks like the Ground Chair gets added to the wish list. Excellent. Thanks for sharing and best wishes.

    • @Curlew-Corner

      @@thecampingbiker791 I like it very much. I think it will suit me very well but I've not yet used it. I bought s/h, used only twice, from someone I follow on RUclips. It's like new and I intended it for car touring and hopefully backpacking but ... I've had a difficult year - friend was gravely ill and in hospital for six months and I broke my wrist so I didn't't get away in 2023 but am building up to going away this year. 🤞

      @@thecampingbiker791 thank you. I should say that the man I bought it from complained about the level of condensation in the tent. However, the one video he made, with the tent in action, was in a woodland setting and I wonder if the air inlet/cut-away at the head end of the tent had been ‘blocked’ by the long grass/undergrowth. I hope to backpack again (I did it a lot years ago) I’m in my late 70s now but still hanker after the spiritual uplift it offers. PS: I don’t expect to have a bad condensation problem with tent

      @thecampingbiker791  10 месяцев назад

      @@Curlew-Corner I’ve got a few similar tents and rarely have condensation issues however if not raining I’ll keep the fly door cracked open a bit and in hotter weather I just keep it open….I’ve had worse in much bigger tents!
      Have a great time when you get out and let me know how you get on with the tent..must admit I do like them! All the best Andrew

      Ha, big chocolate bars are my only treat in life now I’m in my sixties 😂 That table is a nifty bit of kit, although generally I only take a table if setting up a base camp for a few days, if moving day by day I’m not taking as much gear as it’s less to pack in a morning…

    Thanks for this Andrew but now I've got a bit of a quandary... So I wanted a chair for the same reason, for in my new Vango Xenon 2+. But because I had a bigger tent, more bulk, I wanted a smaller chair - looked at the Ground chair but bought a Thermarest Trekker 25 chair instead at only 362g. Annoyingly tho, my super comfy Nemo Quasar sleeping pad is too big for the trekker chair - I can get it to fit but it's very tight and not ideal. So, do I change the sleeping pad (another £200 for a similar pad), or do I change the chair (additional £70 with refund from trekker chair) and accept the extra bulk...? You've not made this very easy for me with another excellent review.... In the words of Capt Darling... bugger!
