This Sweep is sick! Love the breakdown conversation of it.
1) Right hand - collar. Left hand - cuff sleeve.
2) Right leg kicks out opponent's left leg. Foot placed slightly above the knee and towards the inside.
3) As you sit up, shift your right leg under opponent's right adductor and cross the feet. Hips shift towards the right side.
4) Bring your knees to your chest.
5) Pull sleeve and Punch collar.
6) Sweep to the left.
this the kinda stuff that makes stuff great to watch!!! thanks to you both!!!
I enjoy watching this intelligent experimentation with a technique. Thanks for posting!
Really dig the format. Just bouncing off ideas out of each other. Eager to try this sweep in sparring!
I hate when I'm getting swept and I have nothing to throw out and slow down the fall. My brain yells "TIMBER" and then I crumble helplessly into the mat. On the flip side, I love applying this kind of sweep!
This was brilliant- and I enjoyed the discourse.
really slick, love the breakdown
Love this type of content
thanks for filming that guys. especially breaking down the finer details and "what if's"
I'm glad it was helpful for you
More of this discussions please 😍👏🏻👏🏻
Beautiful sweep thank you for the great technique
That is a very cool option as a counter to when someone tries to kill your delariva by turning the toes out.
Really cool Dom - thank you
Awesome video
I play that collar sleeve game all the time. It’s very effective. I have not tried this sweep you have demonstrated here. A lot of guys like to drop that leg back to make my foot on their hip ineffective. I look forward to catching them with this sweep. Thanks for sharing!
really happy to have found more discussion on this. a beautiful sweep and when i first started using it at my gym, no one had heard of it! it was a good month, but then they started getting wise to it lol.
Those first few weeks before everyone catches onto your new trick is magical
@@DubiousDom even better is when you truly master it AND they know it's coming, and they still can't stop it.
nice. trying this tomorrow
Nice, thx from Brazil. Oss
This kind of video is awesome. An interactive discussion like this highlights the finer points of a move MUCH better than a single instructor walking through a demonstration. Well done!
dope sweep
Nice effective sweep I will try it tomorrow
Thanks
Get it 🔥
Sick 🔥
oh buddy, just hit this in class after watching this video prior to class....thank you
Very good
Great video guys. Thank you. I always go to the outside to try to take the back. Gonna try this tomorrow morning, hopefully with some success🤞🤞
Update: Just hit the move this morning on a good guard passing opponent!! Super excited about it. It wasn't pretty but it worked. Gotta drill it alot more to get better. Thanks again🤘🤘
Mike Fowler sweep ..
Mike Fowler (out of Lloyd Irvin)used this sweep often, back in the days. I think I have a DVD 📀, of him an JT Torres or Ryan Hall showing the sweep.
Used… made!

Thanks, love the bjj community
That's looks like a floating "giggler" right?
Hey Dom, thanks for all the great content. I’m returning to training this upcoming week after 4.5 months off due to ankle surgery. Injury actually happened on the mats. I’ve been cleared to train for a few weeks but I have limited Dorsiflexion. Any advice on returning to training?
Let your partners know and be careful with who you roll with.
@@DubiousDom 🙏
Wow
So what do you do about this now Dom?
Thanks! I watched this video 15 minutes before my class tonight and hit it on my first try on a challenging blue belt (I'm white belt). Does it have another name? Killer sweep
Let’s call it the Yukon sweep
Is that considered ripping the knee?
Any ideas how to pass it ? When your opponent has collar sleeve grips and holds your leg with his legs very strong, I feel stuck in this position on top
if you already gave the grips away then its too late
So it’s like an extended trap and roll with collar grips?
That's a great way to think about it!
Doesmt mike actually stretch out the trapped leg as he does it. Fairly sure i saw that
5:13 mins in this video. Stretches out his trapped leg to take away any potential knee post .

Beautiful sweep but I don’t like the use of the word unstoppable cause there’s counters to everything. If he stiff arms the top leg with his free hand he probably can avoid being swept with this sweep
Max was here
Hi Max
Oss
I also have a video on this from way back followed by footage from completion. Also got this from Mike Fowler. Hit it in comp where I took gold. Great technique! - The Unstoppable Sweep

Thanks for the share. It's always nice to see a technique in a live roll.
