@smooth.IT.operator did the standoff sit flush on the motherboard? I screwed it in, but it doesn't screw in completely. I used a tool to screw it some more and it actually broke.
@@christ5687 Excellent question. The one in this very vid is so short and had to do approx. only one and a half full twist, almost to the point that I was unsure did it really sit properly but it did. My English might not be precise. ;)
Thank you for watching. I can't, the one and the only one I had was very short and it fit. They are not expensive, can't you buy few sorts in one kit? Shouldn't be difficult to find.
What is the size of the standoff you used that works, im from another country and cant use Amazon, so i have to search by comparing size that works in sites from here
i atempted this on this exact same model and windows cant seem to detect the nvme disc... i used a full lenght nvme the same you would use on a desktop any suggestions? i checked the bios and everything there seems to be no sign of this disc anyware
Thank you for watching. Interesting situation. I have to ask the simplest thing first, you did try to connect the SSD in an another system/PC and it was working fine?
i probably didn't press the nvme deep enough in the socket.. after removing it and placing it again everything was fine and i was able to partition it properly Thank you for the reply anyway!
@@mustafahayriacikgoz6265 They are separate pieces of hardware obviously so you will see two SSD disks in Windows also. They are not paired or in a RAID configuration. You have OS SSD and additional SSD, both of them fast NVMe PCIe Gen4.
Hello Thanks for the info...nice video! Do you think I can install an additional nano disk (Lenovo 1080PRO 4TB SSD M2 NGFF SSD SATA 2280 PCIe 4.0 NVME) 4terabytes? will be supported? I found an offer on Aliexpress and it's super cheap...40€ Just checked better online...looks like a crappy imitation of the real thing..
Thank you for watching. WOW 4TB of NVMe storage! Try it and if it doesn't work you can always sell it for double the price. You will do whatever is best for you. Good luck.
