personally, the 2021 Ideapad Gaming 3 might be the most muted and subtle Gaming Laptop ever made. No protruding exhaust butts, No flashy RGB's, No huge gaming logos plastered on it, no nothing.
I've been using an Ideapad Gaming 3 for the past year and it's still going strong. Absolutely fantastic laptop. Mine came with an i5-11300h and an RTX 3050 Ti. I only get 3 hours of battery since 11th gen doesn't have e-cores and likes to go to boost clock a lot. But I'm usually near a socket anyways and this laptop is otherwise a flawless MacBook killer, especially for sustained loads. Just be sure to open it up for a vacuum every few months or so, this thing sucks dust up like it's a hobby.
I appreciate the review since not a lot of tech RUclipsrs talk about this specific model which I also own 😁😁😁 I certainly agree that this laptop gets all the work done 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

i have this beast for over 2 years with an intel i5 chipset and this is absolutely amazing machine for me
i upgraded it by 512gb SSd and 8GBs of NVMe DDR4 RAM but then it performance skyrocketed and since then its just wonderfull
only con for me was Battery life even using lighty gave me max 2.5 hrs backup
so if u are looking a lsasptop for portability its not a good one on that side
but as a budget gaming poratble machine its a 1080p beast for me

Glad I found this comment. I am a designer and I use a lot of Adobe and 3D software so I wanted to know if it was actually able to manage all that, good to know it does!
@@ocean_demon actually bro it is like entry level laptop to do all these things otherwise if u want to go core there are more syitable options on the market and especially in ending 2023 a RTX is preffered over a GTX so go for that if u want more performance oriented things
@@fr34k31 actually I read that they updated the IdeaPad series as the LOQ so I got the Lenovo LOQ 15 :) It has 3050ti rtx so it's efficient and been working great so far but anyway thanks :D

i had this laptop (more specifically the 15ach6 version) for two years now but the keyboard gave out on mine, it's a motherboard issue, even though i already had the motherboard replaced as the sound didnt work on it WHEN I BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW!!! and its battery lasts only 45 minutes since day one... WASTE OF MONEY

Also bought this for uni studying music so I needed a cheap laptop that could actually run all my music software, plugins and handle multi track recording so this seemed perfect
Got the same for 550 from amazon, 1tb, 16gb ram, it was the last one.

Putting different capacity and/or freq. RAM is no recommended. Performance Issues.
Trackpad can be configured from the settings. By default, you would have most gestures enabled. If you are like me and get annoyed by this, you should deactivate all but: tap with one finger to click, tap with two fingers to right click, and swipe with two fingers to scroll.

Hi i wanted to know if the there are any oil mark on touch pad after a long use of like 1-2 years
Not a bad machine, i upgraded the memory to 64gb 3200mhz ram, WIFI to an AX210 and the storage to 8TB as i was able to stick another 2280 into the 2242 nvme slot via cutting up the Lan port cover slightly. I'm now going to upgrade the LCD to a 60hz 400nit panel as the default 144hz one is too dim at 200nits and power hungry for me!
It would be good if there was an mod to put in a Lenovo Legion 80WH battery. As the default 45WH one is pretty weak.
Make sure to Yank out the Bios Battery when working on the laptop as the BIOS on this laptop is...kinda stupid (tries to bootloop with a blank screen) when compared to the Robust one on the Lenovo ThinkPad line.
Warzone 2 is complaining about my gpu version saying i have version 512 which doesnt meet the minimum required version to play warzone that i should upgrade what should i do i have this same model with nvidia gtx 1650ti with 4gb of ram
I just got the one from walmart Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 15.6" FHD 120Hz Gaming Laptop AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS 8GB RAM 512GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050. It was less than 500 bucks. I hope its worth it.
8gb of ram doesn't rlly use the rtx GPU I it's full extent. Kind of a "ur system can isn't fully powered"

Dunno but I opted for the lenovo with those specs, it arrives tomorrow. I hope its good as I was torn between the two you have mentioned also the acer nitro. I know i have to instantly upgrade the ram but for the price i got the laptop its not an issue and all other specs seems pretty good.

Did you buy already? If not Id like you to know the lenovo one is a lot better. In terms of performance, and even efficiency and battery life thanks to the AMD processor. Hell, it also has more cores. Lenovo one should be a no-brainer.

it'll run perfectly.
battery only last for 2hours. tested it by warching movies and school works on battery power. its been like this since it was new.
yea budget laptops definitely aren't consistent with their battery backup, mine came with 4-5 hours out the box.
Keep the display at a lower brightness, put it on performance mode, don't have a lot of things running at once. Laptops, especially gaming laptops aren't known to have the best battery. Keep yourself close to an outlet and have your charger on you.

I'd go for Rtx 3060 its more worth the price IMO. I've got a15 for a months now its good, have ryzen 7 processor and RTX 3060. And I think you should get a15 with the Ryzen CPU 7 7735hs or ryzen 9 with Rtx 3060.
why amd? amd have more powerful igpu, and asus armoury crate has feature that can turn off the rtx 3060 so it saves battery. so basically you can run your PC with only CPU and the software will automatically turn on your rtx 3060 when needed.

I have this laptop, it is still great for me, but do bear in mind, I upgraded the ram to 32gb and added a 1tb nvme ssd. Depends what you are going to be playing on it though

brought it for 3 months, multiple black screen when power on render unuseable. onsite change motherboard. then update bios as the inbulid vantage program suggest. wa lah bios update failed. then need onsite to come again. AVOID LENOVO AND THIS LIKE A PLAGUE....
Its ok. I dont like the keyboard on it. But it's a fine laptop.
Mine is fried, usb dead and now runs 2ghz. It's completely garbage. Bad battery, bad missing pixel screen, terrible screen reflection, bad power supply, low storage, low ram and more. For the price. Buy something else. Honest review from me. Add $100 more and buy anything else guys. Lenovo laptops all around suck.

@HRSoundFactory Dont have this laptop BUT looking at its spec NOW at lenovo it has Ryzen 7 Processor ( similar to Core i7 Intel ), 16GB Ram and 500GB SSD. I am a musician, still using an 8 year old 17" Core i5 Dell Inspiron. I replaced the HD for a 2TB Samsung SSD & it has 16GB Ram. It still Works fine with daws ( Reaper, Ableton, FL Studio, Cakewalk ) etc. So I imagine this lenovo will be just fine for you.
The thing that really matters for music and recording though is your EXTERNAL Audio interface, DONT use the inbuilt cr*p soundcard. I have an Audient EVO 4 which is real nice, small, portable, CHEAP relatively and good low latency. Its great for recording & listening via headphones or plugged into stereo amp via full jacks. It has a full jack DI input at front for us Guitar / Bass types :D
When specing the purchase it does allow you to buy with a 1TB drive instead of the 512GB SSD and also WITHOUT a harddrive ( reduces laptop price too ), so if you have one already like me ( 2TB SSD from old laptop ) and are tech proficient you could install that instead.
Anyway .. my 2 cents :D
