Please meet my student Eduardo here. He has been taking my private lessons at Berklee for 2 semesters. He is a great pop guitarist singer song writer. He is also awesome jazz player (He only discovered Jazz 3 years ago!) I set up this groove and he just followed me.

Awesome!! I am almost two years into playing, what scale are they using over these chords? C minor pentatonic scale or c major scale? Thats my biggest issue at the moment, I can play the scales but I don‘t know when to use them best.

Learn chord changes, harmony, intervals, triads... those will help you to understand!

Mali Berto i know it doesn't help much but i'll still say: it is the right note/scale when it sounds good to you ;) you knew this but don't forget either. Theory helps understand and cooperate in music but don't miss the forest (music) while looking at individual trees (theory)
