- San Francisco has decided to close down the "El Tiangue" store and move the vendors to an outdoor location on 24th, which has less foot traffic being further out from the main street. abc7ne.ws/3PYF6ku

So basically an SF funded option to fence stolen goods. Sounds like an SF solution alright
🎯
Tax payers should NOT be paying for these peoples rent for a space that they can sell their crap at!!! if they want to set up shop, they need to pay their own rent for a place to set up shop. the city should not be paying any rent at all for these people. instead they should be requiring these "vendors" to purchase a permit to be able to set up shop. then use that money to help clean up the streets!!!
That's like saying homeowners shouldn't get tax breaks. Why should everyone else, whether they own their home of not, have to subsidize your property.
@@FiveGunsWest Exactly. The event on a Sunday has no discernible difference from a "Farmers Market" and nobody seems to have an issue with those.
And taxes should not be used to fund proxy wars but YOUR government here does that anyway! I didn't vote at all in the past twelve years. The city government is NEVER going to do things like clean the city up. Hold your breath all you want. It. Won't. Happen.
@@FiveGunsWest Tax breaks are a GOOD THING. Subsidies are NOT a good thing.
All stolen items for 50% off
Using taxpayer dollar$ for this???? Unreal...
supervisor Hillary Ronen and others (Aaron Peskin) are to blame.
@@raulingaverage - And Peskin wants to be mayor now! What a joke!!!
100k for 3 month....
Usung tax payer money to rent a space for non taxpaying vendors wow.. you guys voted for this leaders
Recognized anything stolen from your house
The majority of stuff that is stolen is from big chains like Walgreen`s, not residences. Learn the facts or STFU,
How many of them actually pay sale taxes from stuff they sell? 🤔
how and why do you care about taxes, guy? The California government won't even fix the roads you use! Not to mention CA taxes are being used to fund the two conflicts between Israel and palestine and ukraine and russia.
So I can buy junk in bulk online, sell it on the street without a license and the city will give me $1000?
No actually you “get” stuff from your professional shop-lifting cousin.
Why not? You do you.
Yes another ingenious idea from city managers.
No, you can walk into a store, steal it walk out and sell it on that same corner
Ridiculous people
Thieves market..tourists will love it
City criminals discriminating against street criminals. Oh, the horror.
Move them to the empty storefronts on market st
Fencing operations
What more do these people want. We coddle, pay them cash, give them a place to vend, it's just never enough. We dont want the streets looking like a third world country.
The Mission Dist is a third world country... thousands of illegals. :(
Oh no! These people aren't making as much from their stolen goods. What a travesty!
The City accomplished something , they got the Vendors to identify themselves by filling out the paperwork to use the City owned sites and that will help with criminal investigations later . I think it was a smart move .
Finish the wall!!!!
What if I, a white person born in California, want to have my own food vendor cart? Huh? What if I wanna work for myself?
@@chris135x you can make $20 an hour at McDonald’s
@@chris135x I love me some white girls. Especially from Tennessee I left all My exe's in Texas . Yehaw
Ban it all
Are there any hot female vendors
Surprisingly no comments from the rent paying stores or the the residents of Mission St.on how the ban has improved their lives.
I wonder how the business owners on mission st feel about vendors. they take the foot traffic before they enter the stores.
So what? Do you care this much of what the government says? Why?
SF voters must like this stuff so much.
Unbelievable
These people are trying to survive, the city rents a building for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Something is not right!
Great idea. Trash was everywhere
I cant understand this Luz lady - accent is very prominent.
The city paying for space to sell stolen merchandise..seems legit🤷♂️
Yeah and you have stolen merchandise too. Everyone has stolen merchandise.
Ok am I crasssy lol but if vending ain’t popping anymore get a new job there are other options so move on dammm
Building a better Bay Area? They’re the ones who broke it. 😂😂😂
Get a job ! This is not Tijuana
They are earning money, guy. Why do you have problems with people not paying the commercial real estate companies?
@@chris135x they are turning OUR streets into garbage, helping thieves sell their stolen property, blocking the sidewalk, making our city look like crap Find another way, like get a job like everybody else has to
Another $100,000 of city funds down the drain….
Sad
I want to institute a zero tolerance policy for the people putting forth these policies. As in they have 3 goals
- Zero loitering and congregation by major public Bart and Caltrain stations.
- Zero bullshit street shops impeding foot traffic
- Zero tents blocking sidewalks
All done. Clear out the foot traffic for people who actually pay taxes, contribute to our society, and pick up after themselves.
Where will we be able to buy the essential stolen goods everybody needs at a discount and how will the thieves make money. As for the good vendors, the streets are filled with empty storefronts. How to get to somebody into that retail space so that mass thefts can occur. Safeway is offering groceries for free if you just come in and help yourself and the city is suing if they close requiring retailers to allow theft and the district attorney unwilling to prosecute the thieves.
it is a mass to go to this area. It is a hub of crimes
Stop selling penny candy at a champaign party. Street vendors have out numbered the space that they require.
Give each vendor free housing too before they become homeless.
Looks more and more like Tijuana, Mexico.
RENT FREE & $1,000 ...THEY NEEDED INTERNET MARKETING..
Jajaja no
Business sucks cause no one wants to support you
Boycott LatinX vendors!!!!
City just wanted you all off the street and a reason to give $100,000 to the buildings landlord.
Stolen equipment used
More wasted tax money
San Francisco is a richly diverse and highly progressive Democrat community ❤
But illicit drug dealers selling heroine, meth, cocaine, fentanyl etc are not harassed city wide. Yet another Democrat fail
Move it to Chinatown sf
Great idea!!
