It's great to hear another Raven Guard fan geeking out over my favorite Legion. A little bummed that the Falcons rule doesn't stack with their most iconic melee weapon, but the rest sounds great.
That shrouded 4+ is actually a nerf from previouis edition Corax, because enemies simply could not target him with shooting attacks if he was not the closest model in previous edition. Only psykers, daemons and other primarchs could fire normally at Corax, meanwhile others had to use snap shots (aka 6+ to hit). Plus he had a -1 to hit in close combat as one of his fighting styles, which was actually quite a big equalizer in a game where are no negative or positive modifiers.
They killed my off my man Alvarex Maun, or the old man praetor as you called him in our games all those years ago. Was kinda hoping to kitbash the sword praetor model from the new box into him. Thank you for doing all these review on the legions!
The XIX legion is one of my favorite loyalist space marine legion and primarch corvus corax. Because of there lore, looks and primarch. Also there successors chapters the raptors, the carcharodons and the death spectres. And there gorilla warfare and flexibility in combat and masters of shadows. Victorus Aut Mortis (Victory or Death)😤😠🖤☠
I'm slowly getting into playing HH, so I've been really diving into the videos on the sifferwbt factions lately and Raven Guard seems really fun to use on the battlefield. All of the various traits and different setups for the troops is so cool sounding. I wanted to do a little force of Sons of Horus and Emperors Children bc I love the extra decorations and aesthetics but as for loyalists I'm really thinking of putting the time into making a force of them. Maybe even to use in 40K a bit too. Thanks for this deep dive intl them
Raven Guard are the only legion I'm even tempted to collect. I can't help but think the Alpha Legion special rule is better suited to us though. Especially considering the poor synergy of the rule for Falcons. I'm loving Fade to Black, however. I haven't played for years. so I couldn't really say how good or bad it'll be in the grand scheme of things, but it suits Raven Guard perfectly IMO
Note the Mor Deythan have relentless and skirmish. They can take power lances and bully scoring. I took 10 with 3 plasma and Fade to Black kept them alive to harrow other units. It was great.
nice one, well into this, hope they don't sell out of the big intro box before I get my shit together. Gonna paint them all raven guard, beakys still look good in a 40k army, great value. Have you done a painting guide bruv?
Stoked for these rules! This is my first foray into 30k and I'm being a little cheeky by building new box as Carcharadons but running them as Raven Guard. I think the Sharks were the Terran-born Raven Guard that Corax shooed away because they were too brutal. At least that's my logic because I really want to play them lol
Doesn't Corax actually have two identical pistols with the same statline, so, two shots with it, not one? It's worded in a confusing way, but on Corax's rules page it seems to go into it.

I heard dreadnought jump pack, now I imagine my leviathan dready for my planned raven guard army just flying and it is a fun thought

This new HH box set is my introduction to Raven Guard and I'm so excited to play as them and dive into their lore
"Inbetween Night Lords and Salamanders." Besides World Eaters isn't that basically every other legion?
I wish Raven Guard could get stealth modifications for some of their vehicles, like land speeders (whispercutter) and such.

Your enthusiasm for the Raven Guard makes me excited to run them (running Shattered Legions: Sally/IH/RG)

Great review! Thank you for sharing!
The Raven Guard's Motto should be "De Oppresso Liber." I can't wait to play these guys in the new edition.
I agree! Long time fan of the RG and jumping into 30k with them. In 40K, I believe the Raptors motto would be “Swift, Silent, Deadly”!
@@tomwest3039 Damn straight! Rah Kill!
Raven Guard is my personal favorite Legion/ chapter. They get knocked down, but always come back up swinging. May they have vengeance for Istvaan 5.

The reason there is no suspensor web on the mor deythan missile launcher is because they have relentless

I've got basically the same head canon.
I'm all bout this doing carcharodons and raven guard
Have fun dealing with the established 30k community
Ash have you done a painting video for your raven guard yet? I've looked through your upload list but couldnt find anything
I'm sitting here with an unopened Horus Heresy Box while i have an emotional crisis. Space Wolves or Raven Guard!?!?!?!
Say, does the Falcons rule apply to Hammer of Wrath attacks?
I think the first warlord trait is in reference to the ashen claws. Ether way its good.
They are the terran born ones that corax didn't like because the fourth like how horus wanted.
They were also the space sharks nomad crusaders dont forget
@@claydud271 very true. If I recall the ashen claws and space sharks are fairly close.
Not me thinking about having a 30k and 40k Raven Guard army.

Yea that’s how I read it too he has that gun x 2
Odd that Mor Deythan can’t take snipers??
init
From what I saw in his Liber Astartes review, Nemesis Bolters are snipers, and they can take those
@@evanw1828 nice one
Love Ravenguard, I wish their 40k rules where better :)
RG!
Sneaky Beakies
Flesh is sneaky.
haha "that's so Raven" man I'm old
Great reviews. But why haven't you make 1 or 2 videos. It would have been better for youtube to put forward your videos wouldn't it 😅
Maybe better for my algorithm but obnoxious for viewers.
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames very kind of you.😙👍
Victorus aut mortis.
Don't worry about Mor Deythans' lack of suspensors. They are relentless anyway ;)
Ah good catch. Built in suspensors on everything!
