Thanks for reviewing this so thoroughly. I have to fly from LA to Barcelona in the fall of next year. Business class is just too expensive so was looking at this product and it seems pretty decent. Thanks again!
I'm flying this equipment from JFK to GRU next week. I'll be in premium select. This was helpful. The other thing I wish you had covered is how comfortable the seat is and how far it reclines.
Comfort was middle of the pack for me in terms of comfort. The recline is something I have started covering on more recent reviews. Thank you for the feedback.
Premium Select seats recline up to 75% more than regular coach, which on Delta reclines up to 4” (giving Premium Select up to 7” of recline). Also note that on transatlantic flights using short haul planes business class is sold as Premium Select. Whereas on domestic flights using 3-class planes (including premium transcon), Premium Select is sold as Comfort+.
Those plates aren’t plastic they’re bagasse plates made from sugarcane plant fiber made to be biodegradable. Dishes is also part of what separates a first class experience vs their DPS experience while still having that elevated experience for a less expensive option then first class while still being eco friendly. Good video none the less
They use the same plates in main cabin also. But what separates from Main Cabin and DPS, in Main Cabin, cutlery is made of Bamboo Cutlery (same one they use on domestic first class) and no white table cloth. Also menu selection is more higher quality in DPS. (I wish they kept the pre-COVID serving style in Premium Select, they had more larger portion this way, but I guess this is to keep catering cost low)
