These look awesome & so easy to do. A friend has asked me to make her bird capes for when her birds sit on her shoulders - these capes are the perfect pattern for that too ❤️❤️
So nice to see your face! These came out gorgeous. I absolutely love the brown one! It looks great with your coloring/current hair color and I'm partial to the tartan and fall aesthetic. I actually don't know how to sew : hides face: but I hope to learn soon. These will be on my list for sure. Thank you for your hard work and the inspiration. Also, I would for sure wear the black one year round!
Aaah, thank you love! I think you could totally do it! I have very little to no sewing experience but have been able to pick it up fairly quickly with easy projects. I think you can too☺️❤️
These turned out very cute and are adorable on you. Perfect for Halloween. So lovely and a great way to use up any fabric remnants that arent quite big enough for a skirt. Another good idea for fabric scraps is to make a hair wrap or even a small headband type wrap, with or without wire in it. A friend of mine makes ties for her husband and aprons as well which doesn't use much fabric, and she makes a lot of ties/ shirts for her husband that match with her skirts or dresses or tops. I made a cute tiki Hawaiian print sarong type dress and a shirt for her husband as a gift and she there a luau and loved it. I think FOR ME PERSONALLY events are cool but to be matchy-matchy all the time is a bit odd, but to each their own (...and Yes, she's aware of this, even though I didn't volunteer the information and wasn't rude aor raining on her parade about her enjoying it, either so please don't come for me with your pitchforks, internet mob of the Church of Constant Fake - Virtue Signaling or Otherwise - Outrage! My friend and I know each other very well and are like sisters. I wasn't trying to put her down behind her back or anything like that. SORRY TO BE PRESUMPTOUS! GENUINELY I AM! I've just gotten some weird comments out of left field from some people who sound very angry so I hope I dispelled some of that but in all honestly I might've made it worse.... LI am new to this RUclipsr's videos but this community seems very sweet though, anyways, so I don't think I have much to "fear" so to speak, I was mostly JOKING obviously.). Variety is one of the things which makes our lives interesting, after all. I have a vintage princess coat I wanted to find similar fabric for and make a capelet with a hood instead of just sewing a hood in.. I will have to find similar lining too. OK I'll stop rambling now, lol. :) Hope everyone is having a great day, if anyone read this far into this disjointed tangent filled comment. :) :) :)
Thank you so much for this tutorial! It makes something that looks so complicated SO much simpler. I also love how easy it is to customize the capelets.
LOOOOVE!! These are all so cute! I was looking at the caplets on unique vintage too and uhhh no 🥵$$$. These are so awesome though and perfect for any occasion!!
I've been holding onto a yard of sheer purple fabric left over from my cousin's baby shower (NMBC theme) With a black collar and trim it would be rockin' for October! Thanks, beautiful! 💜🖤🎃

I just finished crocheting an Irish lace one of these babies in cinderella blue! Every single autumn, I want a blanket-but-make-it-fashion.
I agree. I’m planning to make one out of a blanket with a matching skort! Yours sounds beautiful!

Love it so cute but 40x40 what? In the first part to make a square
Centimeters or inches?
Inches
Very helpful.
Can you please tell me what would be the measurements of fabric for skinny girl of 12 years? Shoulder width is roughly 13 inches
Love you for sharing this!! I just cut my cruella cape ;-)
The Christmas ond could work for autumn too I think
What are the measurements of the squares of fabric you used to make these?
This is perfect for my Janus cosplay!🐍

So cute!
How much fabric is needed? A yard?
I really wanna make this, but my fabric is only 35 in wide. Do you think it would make much of a difference?
I think it'd just be a bit shorter; As long as you ensure its a perfect circle it should work :)
Love your easy DIY!!!
You are so welcome!
how many yards did u use?
They came out so adorable.... I should I pay you to make me some lol... my hands don't work lol.. so no sewing for me.
Awww, hehe thank you Ruby!!
