ABOUT OUTLAW MUSIC FESTIVAL TOUR 2024
The 2024 Outlaw Music Festival Tour features an unprecedented lineup including headliners Willie Nelson & Family, Bob Dylan, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, and John Mellencamp with Brittney Spencer, Celisse, and Southern Avenue. Billy Strings will also join the tour for one special night at The Gorge in Washington.
“This year's Outlaw Music Festival Tour promises to be the biggest and best yet with this lineup of legendary artists. I am thrilled to get back on the road again with my family and friends playing the music we love for the fans we love,” says Willie Nelson.
The inaugural Outlaw Music Festival made its debut in 2016 in Scranton, Pa. The sold-out show was so well received that Blackbird, Rothbaum, and Nelson have developed it into one of North America’s biggest annual touring franchises. Musicians such as Chris Stapleton, Neil Young, Luke Combs, Van Morrison, ZZ Top, Eric Church, Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, The Avett Brothers and many more have been a part of the Outlaw Tour, sharing unforgettable music memories and unique vendor villages with local food, drinks, and shopping in Live Nation amphitheaters across the country.
PRESS RELEASE
OUTLAW TOUR LAUNCHES WITHOUT WILLIE NELSON:
The 2024 Outlaw Music Festival Tour launched without its leader Willie Nelson on Friday night in Alpharetta, Georgia, but the show went on featuring sets by Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, Alison Krauss and Celisse.
In place of Nelson's own set, his son's band Lukas Nelson and the Family Band performed instead, with a guest appearance by Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks.
Plant and Krauss performed many of their usual selections, including Led Zeppelin's "Rock and Roll" and "The Battle of Evermore," plus "When the Levee Breaks," which they recently officially released. Dylan, on the other hand, brought out a number of unexpected songs, including a cover of Chuck Berry's "Little Queenie," "Under the Red Sky" for the first time in over a decade and several songs from his 2012 album, Tempest.
On Thursday afternoon, it was announced that Nelson would not be appearing at opening night.
"We regret to inform you that Willie Nelson is not feeling well, and per doctor's orders, has been advised to rest for the next four days," their post read. "He is expected to make a quick recovery and join the Outlaw Music Festival tour next week. In the meantime, Lukas Nelson and the Family Band, along with a few guests, will perform a special set to include Willie's classics and others songs. Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, Alison Krauss and Celisse will continue to perform as scheduled."
Other artists who will be performing on this year's trek include Brittney Spencer, Southern Avenue, Billy Strings and John Mellencamp. The tour will conclude on Sept. 17 in Buffalo, New York.

Wow, Bob is in amazing clear voice here!
Yes! his vocals were much better than I expected.
@@TheAdventuresofDrewandAmanda
Theres been a few recordings of the first 3 shows...
This here has the BEST SOUND so far
Since 2015 he started singing with a crooner and clearer style while he was singing the sinatra songbook
Long Live Bob Dylan
Love you Bob Dylan and your music and band, thank you so much, Elizabeth ❤️
ADORE BOB'S HARMONICA SOLOS EVERYTIME! ♥
Me too!!!
Wonderful. Incredibly clear sound too. ❤
Bob Dylan for President!
What a delicious blues sound!🎸🎸💖🌟🤩
❤ 🕯🍀🕊Yes Super👌 and Yes very good voice 🎵🎶🎊👍🏻
Thanks! Good sound and great harmonica! 🙌 Bob has every reason to sing this with a lot of new meaning the way the world and some people are these days. Those 3 people standing are annoying! They have zero consideration of fans behind them! 😕Such is life!
Bogus! All should get off their lazy butts and dance! Nothing is worse than playing music onstage to sitting listeners.
@@searing7549 Not Bogus the venue doesn't allow it. I agree it is good when there is dancing but it's not always viable.
@@nissi.k well, then a bunch of old squares are running the place. Trust me, I perform regularly on stages throughout the country, and we despise playing seated shows. It’s lame, and never produced as good of a performance as a standing venue.
@@searing7549 I agree there should be opportunity for that but in reality it just isn't always be available. Those tree people were not really dancing more like chatting and swaying and blocking others. Also to be fair it depends on the type of music some music is for reflection not just party. Still it would be cool if people could dance but there probably a liability factor in having a dance floor with that large of a crowd I would think. 🤷♀️
3 narcissists, no less
Good stuff. Thanks for posting. nm.
The greatest voice of all time….! Sarcasm is my thing…..!
keep on keeping on, thxs for sharing...
Glad you enjoyed it ♥️
Bob's the Greatest and this is the best his singing's been in 20 years.
Hi, reading the comments yours is like so many that think he sounds good. I think he sounds as *bad* as he ever did! 😂 Love his poetry love his albums, but his was one of the only concerts ( 20 yrs ago) I ever walked out of after half hour. Hurts to listen to!
Oh man !! Wht a treat 😊❤
Excellent
Sounds great!!!
Bobby D 😍
Now that’s what I call jazz!
Magnificent - and what a crack band!
Yes, Bob!!
one of the few songs he doesn't dramatically alter in live versions, which is pretty ironic considering the lyrics
Sounds great....would've loved a close up of the band.
Great bob.
OOOH! Would you LISTEN to that Harmonica ...
Bob is Bob, not that it matters to ya.
And today they are wearing headphones,,,,,
Papá Bob Dylan.
EVER heard of FOCUSING in
I was as focused in as I could get. I was in the lawn. $25 tickets don’t usually get great seats.
I'm confused, which one's the actual stage?
Ikr?!? lol It’s hard to tell from the lawn.
@@TheAdventuresofDrewandAmanda “something is happening and we don’t know what it is :). “. I’m going Friday….i hope it’s this good and that Willie is feeling better….
@@Les3201 it was a great show. Everyone was great but Robert Plant and Alison Krauss really killed it.
Bob doesnt allow closeups on the jumbotron, so it's all wide shots. Definitely makes it confusing.
look for the stage lights
Angry?
Yeah the song is based on Dylan’s anger at The Media and the In-crowd hipsters. and their inability to comprehend him and his music.
@@TheAdventuresofDrewandAmanda Sound angry here to you?...
He never was angry, it’s just entertainment, he’s made a good living at it
I would disagree…

Freedom is in segregation...
-->> freedom (n.)
Old English freodom "power of self-determination, state of free will; emancipation from slavery, deliverance;" see free (adj.) + -dom. Meaning "exemption from arbitrary or despotic control, civil liberty" is from late 14c. Meaning "possession of particular privileges" is from 1570s. Similar formation in Old Frisian fridom, Dutch vrijdom, Middle Low German vridom.

Comment section really sucks along with the title.
I think you might be the only one complaining 🤷♀️

I.m sure this is very good but musically it’s shaite
What does that mean?
It means jeanmarie is clueless.
@@TheAdventuresofDrewandAmanda it means that if you listen to this from a neutral point of view, the singing, its melody, whatever, is very bad.

I've been a Dylan fanatic for years, but please Dylan apologists, stop pretending that this is great singing! Its talking! He makes Lou Reed sound like Jeff Buckley!
Everyone has different tastes for voices that sound pleasing to them. Beauty is within the eye of the beholder. Haven't you figured that out yet?
He could speak his great lyrics and please his fans. Rough And rowdy ways is basically spoken word. Not everyone gets it. He hasn't care what anyone thinks or expects from him since he plugged in almost sixty years ago! A bio movie is being made about this very aspect of Dylan!
Onelove68.....I guess you passed over the part where I wrote I've been a Dylan fanatic for years. I certainly sympathize with his health problems and old age, but I just think its silly that some of his fans act like his gruff, mumbling talk voice is anywhere near as great as his former snide, acerbic vocal gymnastics of his best period. It reminds me of the emperors new clothes story where nobody can or won't tell it like it really is. I learned a long time ago that people hear things differently, but this is an extreme case! Its sad and enevitable, but still I'll always love Bobby!
Ok, thanks for telling us the way it really is.
@@f.w.2054 Yeah, at his peak, he is untouchable. That was the 60's and 70's. As a vocalist and performer. His creativity endures. But this is sad and painful for me. Those original performances are impossible to equal or top. No one else can, either. This is pathetic in comparison, hough voice is in better shape than it's been in decades. I actually prefer it when he sings Sinatra or newer material nowadays, they sound more like his current self without the heartbreaking comparison to what once was. Jazz is no excuse for diminished quality. I don't expect the record. But I love that he's still here, still doing it, just wish on a purely musical level, I could enjoy it more.
It’s not a rolling stone concert .That’s for sure.
No one goes to a Bob Dylan concert expecting a Rolling Stones concert. That’s for sure if you want to see the Rolling Stones. I’m sure they’re playing at the football stadium somewhere near you
@@MrPernell27 So why do you go to a Dylan concert. What I see on RUclips looks pretty boring.
@@albertinsinger7443Something is happening here and you don't know what it is.
@@edwardmeta😂
@@edwardmeta Only trouble is I know Dylan’s records through and through and started listening to Dylan after he put out Freewheeling and stopped listening to him after he put out Time out of mind. So I know what is happening. And it ain’t much my friends. What you see is what you get. A guy who is quiet brilliant with words but can hardly sing and carry a tune.
