- Goldin auction posted a video of someone opening an appear to be unopened Piedmont pack and pull a t206 out of it. After some research I am 100% confidence such Piedmont pack was a fabricated reproduction pack. In this video I am going to show everyone how authentic Piedmont packs look like. Enjoy!

New sub here. I love this kind of stuff and love the pre war era cards. Thanks for sharing and look forward to watching the rest of your videos to learn more from you. Dave
Thx for the feedback. Glad you like my video. :)
Very neat. I always thought the card was the cardboard backing for the cigarettes, didn't realize there was cardboard around the cigarettes as well.
Michael, in fact most of those vintage tobacco packs have similar "push out shell" type of protection protecting the cigarettes.
Hello detectives, the "Anvil" icon on the cardboard tab didn't give it away?
The tax stamp is only applied onto a finished product. So in their example it should have been outside of the wax paper if it were original.

Thanks for your feedback.
Cool video. Thanks.
I found a pack of sweet caporals with a mint card in it right around 2001! Remodeling a house and the pack was in between floors...
Wow.... that's a great thing to know. Do you happen to still have the Sweet Caporal pack and the card that you pull? What's that a baseball card or just a non-sport card?
@t206museum8 yes I have the pack..not the best of shape...but the card is mint...corners are perfect and all the gold bordering is perfect too..the card is hugh duffy
@@TonySmith-jx2nc That's exciting! If you don't mind, would you be able to send me a few images of the pack and the card that you pull? I would love to make a video out of that. Please email them to f-a-q@t206museum.com I can't wait to see those images. Thanks in advance.
@@TonySmith-jx2nc I have seen and opened Piedmont packs that have tobacco cards inside but I have never seen Sweet Caporal pack like that. I wonder that's a soft pack or was it also a pull out slide shell type of pack. Would be really nice to see images of the actual pack. :)
@t206museum8 I will send you some pics when I get a chance to take em....the pack itself is in a storage bin but the card I can get at easy enough for pics...honestly do not know style of pack..I am not a card collector so limited knowledge....I do plan on getting it graded sometime in the future...when compared to the one with a grade of 8 mine looks much nicer so it should be worth some good $$..hopefully lol...are the empty packs worth much?
Pretty cool seeing these.
Glad you like it. I am trying to share all these odd stuffs of my collections. LOL
Thank you for sharing
Nice. Did you actually open any packs that have contained a T206 card?
I did! It was a time smartphone wasn't a thing and video cam wasnt that common so it wasn't recorded. In fact, I opened that Piedmont pack without prior knowledge of chances of pulling a card, it was just a curiosity to check what stuffs are inside those packs then end with a big surprise!
@@t206museum8 awesome

Who did u get?
What card did you get?
Greed will make them fake anything with value. I’ve been in the card industry for over 35 years and one thing I learned is if it’s valuable, then it’s been faked
I totally agree with you. Just like people now replacing single color jersey patch with multi-colors patch to increase values of those cards... Sad thing to see.... :(
great video
thanks for your feedback!
I had seen on a Jabs family video years ago someone who makes those replica packs sent him several of them. When he started opening them I remember thinking NO!!!. but as he pulled out the card you can tell then that it was fake.
In my opinion, people who make these replica packs are hurting the hobby even they stated they are fabricated packs since the sellers down the road might not be as "honest".
Wow that's for letting us know real.vs.fake.
You are welcome. Stay tuned for more educational videos like this. :)
