Really interesting technique! Appreciate you sharing your results! Would you ever soak to remove a dent or is it typically only for removing dirt and gunk?
I found it to be the safest way. I’ve tried working on cards for many years, and this is the best method that I have for these types of issues. Thanks for asking.
This is incredible. Do you know if cleaning and restoring the card helps get better grades on the cards? Or do the graders see that you restored and cleaned them, and give you a low grade?
I’m sure you are asked this a lot. Do you take commissions? I have a 56 mantle with one 1/8 inch crease at the edge. I was going to buy your kit and try myself. But I know you’d get 100x better results than I would, and no risk of messing it up. Can people send you cards and pay you a fee/commission?
I can’t do it for you, but I can help you get a game plan. If you’re on Instagram shoot me a picture. You’re not gonna start with the Mickey Mantle but I’ll help you get a game plan and you can do it.
Great results! Have you seen where Mangini and bluejacket66 are having a debate about card restoration? I do restorations on cards and get a lot of satisfaction from it just like you. Keep doing what you do and posting results I love the content!
It’s a cool question, close to 20 years. I started developing my products a little over 10 years ago. That’s when I got a lot better and started taking a lot of time and putting a lot of effort into card restorations.
Amazing! Night and day difference.
Wow! This is just the video and product I’ve been looking for. I have a wilt chamberlain rc I’ve been wanting to clean and restore for years.
Check out my vintage playlist, you’ll see a bunch of good stuff in there. You can learn how to do.
@@kurtscardcare how long after you soak and clean card does it take to dry out.
@@ironman549 small cards like this usually two days. Normal size cards and vintage cards can be 4 to 5 days. It’s a slow process.
Gr8 restoration of a beautiful portrait..🎉🤗 Very nice..👍❤🔥👊
Captain Kurt great job bro! Love the videos!!

That’s a great question, it’s good for removing creases, dents and dirt.
That is just unreal. So how does submerging not destroy the card? Great job on this!

I'm most impressed by the removal of that black spot on the edge. Any idea what that mark was? I'm assuming it wasn't ink.
@@dsinsocal definitely not ink. It was something that landed on the surface and didn’t soak in.

Thank you Kurt. I don’t have any of those platforms. Just RUclips lol. A friend told me to start with common cards from the 50s to practice first
Kurt, what are the black card pads and do they come with the kit?
There is a black mat in the kit, but if you need more they are linked on the products we love page of the site as Card Mats
What’s the liquid the card gets submerged in?
It’s a solution that I make, I just call it card spray

Thanks for another amazing video Kurt!
Hey Kurt, what material are your card mats made of?

@TedWilliams absolutely nothing wrong with his question, at all, in any way whatsoever
Does this work on Chrome cards or only matte cards?
What part?
@@kurtscardcare is there any part of this process that doesn’t work on Topps Chrome cards?
@@SteveTYork you can polish the surfaces of chrome cards. Is there a specific issue you’re trying to resolve?

@@SteveTYork gotcha, unfortunately, the dimples are formed that way when they they make the cards. I can never get those to go away.
To smooth out some of those wrinkles wouldn’t you want to put this in a humidor for a 1/2 hour?
Would be worth a try, but some require a bit more work.
When you put it in the water i said wait wtf lol
Thanks for watching 🤙🏼
It's definitely not water
