@@joeymak2000 good question. I was just using a little light amount of moisture so it wasn’t very wet. But I found that using the pads usually produces better results. But if you’re going to work on a few things with light moisture, you can do it like this.

@@traydragen it’s a great question. I find that the glue on these vintage cards are usually rubber cement or I’m assuming Elmers glue. These are easy to remove with spray. I have run into a few cards that look like they were glued to cardboard with some sort of hot glue gun or super glue and I was not successful.

@@Blossom_Brooke it took a little over two days to dry. I change the pads a lot. Put it in my humidor for about six hours day. I let it sit on my desk in the open air supervised too. Currently, I have it in a penny sleeve and a Toploader.

There wasn’t gum in those packs. So it must be something different. You’re welcome to show me a picture sometime. You can’t soak in 89 like this. It’s a different texture that doesn’t respond well to total saturation.

@@trenchant2 I’ve never had a problem getting the card graded ever. Neither do my customers. It’s not an issue.

@@TJThrasher I use a little bit of heat from a hairdryer on them and they will lay flat.

@@AsapKimchi the best I can do is use the card polish. If the scratch removed the paint or the plastic surface, it will just be permanent. But polish usually does a good job

@@JDADepot sure, I’ll try to tuck them back in with the side of the card tool or wipe my finger over them. Sometimes if they stick out more than usual, you can pluck them out.

@@bigspoon8219 I can show you how to work on cards, but I don’t work on them for you. Check out my website, click on the vintage tab at the top and it will show you cool stuff you can do with paper cards like your Jordan.

@@_______6398 good question, this is nothing new, I bet you over 10,000 cards a day are graded by my customers. It’s a non-issue with grading. It’s a great question but I’ve never had a problem getting a card graded ever.

I too have several lightning creases on a Pistol Pete RC I’m working on, I’m going to give the method you showed tonight a try and see if it helps them become less noticeable.

@@tranqui2763 that’s a good question. I always look at the edges and corners under the microscope. If I see something on the card that I need a closer look at I’ll look at those case by case.
