    thanks kurt, the small bends from stuffing those vintage holo pokemon into the sleeves or binder slots are really problematic. also, the binder bites. so many of them were stored like that i run into this a lot. i have a shadowless zard with almost identical damage as this mewtwo on the top

      @@TropicalMint808 I would definitely pick a few of yours out and see if this method will get them back in shape. This one was pretty severe so it only improved but I’ve had times with little dents that I can fix 100%.

      @kurtscardcare I've been trying the spray the mat and hold flat method on a few vintage holos with mixed results. Seems once these types of cards get bent badly where you can see it under light at an angle, it's almost like trying to smooth out thick aluminum foil or something.

      @ if you don’t have a crease, I would suggest you keep going. I had a wonky Lugia card just this week that took me three days to get flat.

      @TropicalMint808 Месяц назад

      @@kurtscardcare thanks Kurt! yeah I'm going to give it another go soon, no creases just bent enough to catch the light. I messed up a few cards going a little too wet on the mat (back texture became grainy) and it had me paranoid for a while. I think I found the sweet spot though where I apply only one spritz to both pads - it's humid where I live so I think I needed to take that into account by either lowering moisture or extending dry times 🤙

      @@TropicalMint808 I couldn’t have said it better. You’re simply learning and sharpening your sword. Once you get it down, you’re not gonna be nervous. It’s gonna be a system that you know how to do. You’ll get great results. Don’t quit.

    Hey, Kurt! Just found your channel on my hunt for a process to restore some MTG cards. I bought your Vintage kit, but I noticed it doesn't come with the watch glasses/clips that you use. If it's not a bother, would you mind checking the size of your watch glasses for me haha? Could you recommend a brand for clips?
    Thanks!

    Kurt, Looks great what are you using for weights those glass things or are those plastic? Are they flat? Can your kits be used on 2003-04 Topps? I have a Lebron rookie card worth lots of money at a 10 but the back right upper corner seemed to have stuck a little on another card. If I had a contact for you I could send you a pic to check out and see what you think and if your think your stuff would work.

    I recently soaked a 2013 bowman chrome Aaron Judge and after 15 min, i took it out and when it dried, some of the blue ink seeped into the back and the 2 corners are light blue now. They are stained very light. Is there anything i can do to fix that?

    • @kurtscardcare
      @kurtscardcare  28 дней назад +1

      @@kingoftheblitz I had the same experience. I soaked a 2013 base tops chrome and the blue, which I assume is some sort of glue. Doesn’t react well. I tried a couple more and they all did the same thing.

      I’ve done 2024 Topps chrome with no problem but as soon as they get about 10 years old, they must have some sort of different glue

      @kurtscardcare no I have done base cards and nothing like this has ever happened so I decided to try it on this bowman chrome just to get 2 dimples out and the back is now a hint of blue lol
