I opened about 20 of those back in the 90s as a kid....got an entire binder :) but seeing you open that again brought back a lot of memories. Unfortunately, mine are in bad shape!

I love the little jab at the $30,000 comment in there. Not sure if anyone else caught that. Logan Paul's "expert" thought that the 1st Ed shadowless Bulbasaur was maybe worth 30k. Good one Rev! 😆

I had a few random 1st edition cards back in the day with the "2" on the right side of other cards. Many holo cards but never charizard. Great times if I only knew what I had then.

Any openings from older sets are always good! I say that because even if you don’t pulling anything crazy the nostalgia makes it worth it in my eyes. With that being said I believe you are going to pull some absolute fire!

Its crazy how back in the day my daycare had all these base set cards lying around and none of us cared about them because we were obsessed with ex and mega cards. There were like 7 of those Squirtle cards lol
It's unlikely it was a 1st edition one, would have been the unlimited print if the cards that most people remember, not quite as expensive haha

@qawqaw1481 That's not always true. Have seen cracked oped case base pack with holo in it. I think it was Blastoise but can't remember exactly.
I remember from when I was a kid, of the three final evolution starter Pokemon, only the ones with Blastoise had rare Pokemon in them. The ones with Venusaur and Charizard on the covers always had rare trainer cards... I feel awful but because of that, I knew there wasn't going to be a Charizard or any other non trainer rare in that booster.

I love these videos, the memories of being a kid and saving everything i got my hands on to buy some booster packs, but at the same time, i hate seeing the prices these go for, oh to go back to my 10 year old self and say buy the packs but dont open them, and why oh why did i sell my entire collection at a boot sale whan i was 15 😢

The most expensive cards are in these old packs, specifically a 1st edition Charizard. Graded it can be worth Thousands and even up to 1 million if psa10. This was a 1st edition pack so he could have pulled it. U can get any pack currently and get a 40-100$ card but the highest of value is from this

A normal card from first edition doesn’t go under 40$ mint condition, a holo first edition goes from 1k-24k and some are worth more

Anything from a vintage booster pack is just amazing, so I think you'll do pretty well.

I cracked one of my vintage base set packs years back. I pulled a trainer too haha. I learnt my lesson. I'll keep what I have left sealed.

It seems that graded packs like this, especially first editions packs are always lightweight. They say its better to keep them closed than to open them.
These bring me back to my childhood days I been trying so hard to rebuild my collection that my mum threw away I'm up to 100 card so far lol keep it going I love the flash backs
I still got my cards. first and 2nd edition. I Didn't kno those thangs were worth that much.. I got a holographic 2nd edition venusaur.

Thing about Ex series is that the rare reverse is usually worth more than the rare holo so doesnt matter if its weighed. Also all stamped reverses in those sets sell for like 8 to 10 bucks minimum even if they're commons uncommon.
