I noticed now that as it is drying it is starting to curve slightly. The card itself is curved a little bit. BTW I ordered a large bottle of card spray today, thanks for the fast shipping.
@ It's drying a little quick. Keep it in the pads as it dries, and don't let it sit out. When it's dry between the pads, you can transfer it to a sleeve/Toploader. Let it rest there for a few more days. You will get it flat. If you need to get a wobbly card flat. Spray each card mat 1-2 light mists and hold the card for a day or two, and it will be back to flat.
So in the beginning when you sprayed the pad to get it wet .... you sprayed the pad and then you sprayed off camera .... did you spray the 2nd pad with a light mist or did you spray the card before you sandwiched the card in between the 2 pads? Also would you recommend doing this if a card has just a minor wrinkle? The card in this video has a major crease.... I have a card with a small minor wrinkle on the front but it is not creased all the way to the back.
@@squirelly6175 good question. I put a light mist on both pads. Based on the description of your card. I would do the same thing assuming that it’s a paper vintage card. If you’re not totally sure message me up on Instagram with a picture. I’ll always reply to you and give you some advice. ✌🏼
It would depend on the materials of the card. Modern cards have more of a plastic finish so they don’t move as nicely as the older Cards. You can always send me a picture if you want me to give you some advice. I’m happy to do that for you. IG or email through my website.
I might try this with my vintage mantle. Has a bad wrinkle on the surface. I seen a slight stain after u did this with your card. Did the stain go away?
Great improvement Kurt! Question though. The after still has a light crease. Since it doesn't look like the "paint" is broken, why wouldn't you repeat the steps you just did? At what point do you "give up"?
I trimmed the video down to get to the point. I have used this method several times, and 90% of the time, a deep wrinkle will not disappear but reduce to what I have here. When a wrinkle has many twists and turns, it will usually leave a small line where it was. Great question, thanks for asking
Great job!!
Beautifull work
Could you let it dry and repeat? Until it is worked out?
@@beckhitcards9792 yes you can. I’ll usually repeat the process a couple times and try to get it as good as I can.

It looked good. The card looked stained though in that area after doing this?
@@oneshotgrow in the final pictures it was dry. It was wet. Good question.
It needs to dry my dude 😎

Nice video. Can this method be used to repair jersey/patch cards damaged during shipping?

@@JJBreezy40 yep, it dries. I was working with it while it was damp.

So will this affect a psa grade ?
@@killerwestwolfgaming353 I’ve improved grades on many cards with wrinkle removal like this
Does that work on gloss cards or just old cardboard cards?
