When I saw this movie back in 2011, I couldn't help but feel sorry for the lemons. The only reason they were spiteful vehicles was because of their rejection by society. Yeah sure, that doesn't excuse what they did. I mean instead of using the hurt that was caused to them as motivation to help other cars that may feel like outcasts, they used it as an excuse to hurt others instead. But I can compare the lemons to characters like Shrek, Megamind or even Severus Snape for all times sake. If I were looked down upon all my life for my flaws and ONLY SEEN for my flaws, I'd probably be a bit bitter towards society myself.
I believe it was actually because society stopped making parts for them, so their analogue would be a bunch of people missing kidneys on dialysis who's dialysis machines are being discontinued. They're fighting for survival. Also, wanted for smog, meaning older units are considered criminals for existing if no one makes a kit for their model.

Cars 2 is very underrated movie. That's fantastic how Pixar built underworld in this universe. I would like to see Finn McMissile series about fighting crime. It would be amazing!
As widely panned as Cars 2, Monsters University and Incredibles 2 are, I can still get a decent amount of enjoyment out of them! Toy Story 4, however, is the one Disney movie I feel was REALLY not needed. It ruined the characters we know and love, disregarded the messages of the previous 3 movies and overall felt more like it was meant to go straight to DVD before they decided to put it in theaters! I still love Toy Story 1-3, Cars 1-3 and pretty much every other Pixar movie, Toy Story 4 being the lone exception!
It’s time to face it: the only reason why cars 2 was so disliked by the greater Pixar loving society is because it didn’t focus on lightning McQueen‘s entry into the world Grand Prix, and nobody won that race when it got revealed that it was a sham to make alternative fuels look bad. As confusing as this sounds, if cars two was cars number one, we would be used to the spy story and love that film instead.
@@christianali5431 One of the big issues I have with cars 2 is how much it breaks the rules of the original. The first Cars was pretty grounded in that most things were designed with the fact that cars use them in mind, like how the phone in Mac pops out of the wall and doesn't have to be held, andnother things like that, and the world wasn't really connected to human history, the closest they get in that movie is implying that radiator springs is located in the United States. In Cars 2 there are many things designed explicitly for humans strung about, like sinks in bathrooms, stairs, as well as references to the human world, like there being a car pope, which begs many questions about the cars universe and this among other things in cars 2 is why questioning the cars universe became popular. Not to mention the fact that planes are alive in the movie, which brings many questions to the table, and makes you wonder why they didn't just make planes that cars are able to pilot.
I think another reason it’s underrated is because it was just forgotten about in cars 3 like half of the stuff wasn’t mentioned at all and what happened to mater’s rocket they let him keep them

Tony's origins aren't clear, but I like to think he's ex- us navy and works for Zundap as a mercenary. Given that French Foreign Legionnaires and IDF Commandos are highly sought after as mercenaries following the end of their service terms, It's not too far fetched.
Honestly I would love to see more characters that originate from Communist Bloc countries, because those are seriously underrated and cute vehicles, for example imagine if there were more lemon characters like Trabant, Fiat 126p, UAZ, Skoda 100 or some heavy duty Russian offroad trucks. Would be interesting to see how would they be portrayed by Pixar.
I recognise quite some text from the Wikis. Hahaha. 😂😂😂😂 I love the lemons so much, I read some of their Wikis a couple of times and memorized a lot. 😎😎😎😎👌👌👌👌
But what about Miles Axlerod since he’s the lemon’s boss since his engine appeared when he came to the lemon party on cam but his voice is lowered and revealed in the end? I still remember in the Mel Dorado scene where Axlerod was once an oil billionaire, but was headed off to look for fuel elements, then for 36 days later he emerged but was still on survival mode, then he sold his oil company into an electric solar running car, but in the end, and the party scene Miles leaked oil while he excuses Mater and all that jazz.
I just now, because of this video, realised that those yellow things on the table are lemons. Everytime I watched the movie I thought those were candies or something. In german, the group is not called the lemons, because in german the term for shitty cars is "Gurken" (cucumbers), which is why I couldnt make any link between their name and the yellow balls on the table.
If there were around in this time they would be liked by everyone in the cars world Because in real life these cars are now very vintage must haves. I love how Grem looks. Very 70s vintage

And honestly, I don't want this car only because of the character (mostly, but not only because of that), since I also truly like the actual design of the car. 😍😍🙃🙃
In 2008 Chrysler who owns AMC which made Jeep Gremlin& Pacer There's even concept art around that the Pacer and Gremlin would come back in production. The thing was though when it carried the Chrysler or the AMC logo. Number information is a known about these two cars being made there is some concept art though.
The lemons can't change their physical appearance, but they probably could have just replaced their old parts with better/upgraded ones to overcome their design defects. Then they wouldn't be lemons anymore
I love how most of the lemon cars are either AMC pieces of crap, Soviet shitpiles, or the stupid mini cars popular in post-war Europe. The armpits of the vehicle world are the villains in the Cars universe and it's amazing.

For anyone wondering what the U.S.S. Independence, and thus Tony Tri-hole's ship class is: It's Independence class. The particular version of the Independence Tony is based off is further classified as a Littoral Combat ship.
Bro I really think that you can still pull a lot of content out of the Cars Universe. Keep it coming.
Your dedication to this channel is just amazing..i wish you the best and more subscribers
Do you know what happened to his old voice? I miss it
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! AAAAAAH!!!!!! CARS 2 DESERVES MORE LOVE AND THE LEMONS DEFINITELY DO TOO!!!!!! THEY'RE AMAZING!!!!!! 😭😭😭😭❤💙💚💜
true!!
This is exactly why I literally included the lemons in my story. I gave them different stories and made them more story relevant of course and I'll change their names if I ever post my story, but yeah, I'm not ashamed to say that I adopted them. Pixar is not planning to us them more than they did, so I'll take the challenge to make them likable for anyone, since many people didn't like cars 2 as much as I did exactly because of these characters
Yeah uh, who are you?
@@GhillyWhilly a random person on the internet??
@@GhillyWhilly if you're gonna say "who are you to use characters made by Pixar", bruh, one: I took inspiration, didn't copy them completely, I also did A LOT of personal work by creating backstories for them, including them in a story I already thought about, etc. Second of all, we all know Pixar doesn't care about those "side spy characters" anymore and I, as a big fan of them, want to give them a chance by rewriting them in a story not about cars, giving them a spotlight to make them shine. So yeah, who am I? A writer, a creator and a big fan of cars 2. Scene.
@@chiarapetrella5266 Cool to hear that you're making a backstory for them though
@@GhillyWhilly yeah I'm one of the people that thinks Finn and Zundapp had history. I'm writing that part of the book for Wattpad in this period, so, well, I hope I'll give the right vibe with it and it doesn't seem a fanfic. Also English isn't my first language so writing in it is painfully slow...

We need a video on Finn McMissile!!!!!!!
😁😁😁
👍👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
I did when i just started the video lol
Can I request a future video? It’s a what if video. I really liked the one you did where McQueen never came to radiator springs. My request is what if McQueen crashed when his back tire exploded in the first race of the first cars movie.
J. Curby Gremlin's first name is also most likely to be John, because his voice actor is John Mainiery and they name characters more often after their voice actors.
Tbh I rewatched the cars 2 and my God the music is the best out of all
I totally agree with you. 😄😄
Some other lemons with minor roles:
-Luke Pacer: he is a red AMC Pacer present at the oil rig
-George Gremlin: he is a blue AMC Gremlin who wears a headset and is seen in London
-Emma/Violet Trunkov: she is a blue/purple ZAZ present at the oil rig
-Daniel Gremlin: he is a yellow AMC Gremlin present at the oil rig
-Kevin Gremlin: he is a forest green AMC Gremlin present at the oil rig
-Tommy Hugo: he is a gray Hugo present at the oil rig
-Sylvio Pacer: he is a white, rusted AMC pacer believed to have chased Finn at the oil rig
-Jack Gremlin: he is a white AMC Gremlin with no rust seen at the oil rig
-Ashton Pacer: he is a Black AMC Pacer seen on the mega poster next to a blue ZAZ that may be Emma/Violet
-Charles Pacer: he is a dark green AMC Pacer seen on the mega poster
-Towga Gremlin: he is a maroon AMC Gremlin that attacks Finn with a torch in Tokyo
-Stephen/Rick Trunkov: he is a ZAZ that attacks Finn in Tokyo but is crushed by an elevator
-Stefan Gremsky: he is a green AMC Gremlin with a yellow door present at the oil rig
-Jerome Ramped: he is an AMC Pacer wielding a torch at the oil rig
I'll be back if I find any other lemon names
Thank you
Then tell me now how many lemons diet at the oil rig
@@Kaszebe555 it is said that around 10 to 15 lemons died, I'll reply back if I find specific info
I surprised that they don’t have girl lemons there

Cars character appears for five seconds and pixar tells you everything about him
Cars1-Racing
Cars2- some friggin spy movie where bullied cars kill famous cars
Cars3 back to racing like nothing happened
My favorite lemon is Stefan Gremsky. He isn’t in this video because he’s such a small character, but I like his design more than others.
who knew cars would have such deep backstories for every character

YESSSSSSS!!! I love the lemons, my favorite characters ever in Pixar Cars
SAAAAAAME. 😭👌❤
The Lemons Are in Cars On The Road
Here's When They Appear:
Episode 3 (Salt Fever): A Green AMC Gremlin Grasslam
Episode 5 (Showtime): A Clown AMC Gremlin Greebles
Episode 8 (Road Rumblers): 2 Hugos That Blue One Is Jeremy
The fact that there's this much information about these characters is amazing
This makes me want to watch Cars 2 again!
This was way better than it had any rights to be
is it just me or do some of the lemons actually look kinda cool like grem in the beginning for example
No
I also like these but only in cars world

If you think about it,from the Lemon’s perspective,Cars 2 isn’t a Spy Movie,it’s a Mafia Movie.
The soundtrack in the background really adds a lot to the video
Never realized what car types they are. I heard gremlin, and immediately thought of my childhood when my dad was thrashing them verbally.
Ok grem is definitely faster than I expected 😐.
I loved this video keep the hits coming im so glad I found this channel months ago
Thank you! Will do!
Ned did it great job!
I recognise quite some text from the Wikis. Hahaha. 😂😂😂😂 I love the lemons so much, I read some of their Wikis a couple of times and memorized a lot. 😎😎😎😎👌👌👌👌
“This is keith, keith got fucking killed.”
This guy is called Ned WHEELER and talks about Cars. 💯
Can you do a video on Celine Dephare ? She seems like an interesting car

Not a good film but the amount of heart that went into it is immense.
I thought it was good honestly
My DREAM CAR is an orange AMC Gremlin from 1974, because my MOST FAVORITE character of the movie is Grem (along with Acer, but I especially love Grem). I love him so much, I even know almost all of his voice lines (I mean, he doesn't have that much lines, but still). 😢😢😢😢💖💖💖💖
So like, if someone would ask who my most favorite characters were, I'd say Grem and Acer, but I do like Grem a little bit more.
I mean it. This really is my dream car. You'd believe me if I'd show you my browse history. I looked on every cars sale website and I'd travel to the other side of the world to get that car (and I'd pay extra money to paint it orange if it wouldn't be). 😉😉😊😊
And honestly, I don't want this car only because of the character (mostly, but not only because of that), since I also truly like the actual design of the car. 😍😍🙃🙃

There's even concept art around that the Pacer and Gremlin would come back in production.
The thing was though when it carried the Chrysler or the AMC logo. Number information is a known about these two cars being made there is some concept art though.
This used to be my favorite movie it is (now the first is) so it is great to see it getting love
The lemons can't change their physical appearance, but they probably could have just replaced their old parts with better/upgraded ones to overcome their design defects. Then they wouldn't be lemons anymore

Me, a Québécois : Ah, yes, frigid.
I love how most of the lemon cars are either AMC pieces of crap, Soviet shitpiles, or the stupid mini cars popular in post-war Europe. The armpits of the vehicle world are the villains in the Cars universe and it's amazing.
It's kind of strange that Tolga is visibly based off of a Volga car, which were kind of expensive and "classy" back in the day - very much status item for the Soviets. So it's weird, that a car like this is also mistreated by the newer cars
I got the Victor Hugo and Vladimir Trunkov diecast cars along with Grem, Acer, Professor Z and Petrov.
I want a Victor Hugo die-cast SO badly, but I just can't find one ANYWHERE. 😔😔

@@BMoney8600 Yeah, I found Grem and bought it about two years ago, I recently bought a variant of Acer (the one with the headset), because I couldn't find the original one anymore, I found the professor and I will buy it soon, I found Vladimir as well, but I don't know whether or not I'll but that one and lastly, I don't really care about Petrov, but I think I saw that one still being sold somewhere as well.
@@BMoney8600 There are four lemon bosses and I found all of them except for Victor, my favorite lemon boss along with J. Curby, which makes me mad and sad. 😢😢😡😡 I think they still sell Victor at some places, like thrift shops and stuff. However, for all of those I found, you'd need a credit card, which I don't have. 😧😧

The cars 2 writers woke up and said "Yes. Violence, Brutal, horrific car deaths in a sequel to a very lighthearted and innocent movie."
Cars 2 might be pixar worst movie but you got to admit it has very good villains just treat it like a different movie and not a cars movie and it would've worked out fine.
