I was just thinking about this due to my recent divorce! I am tried of caring and trying to prove a point I just want to be done and live a quiet life and be done! ❤
It’s amazing he mentioned playing concerts bc I’m a professional musician and I’ve always questioned why I continue to do concerts (other than for money). Digging deeper, I realize I do it to impress people…man that is shallow bc it never relents! Michael is very heavy!! ❤🙏
Adoro las charlas de Michael! Me inspiraron tanto que narre su libro la liberación del alma en mi canal de youtube para que todo el mundo se pueda crecer con sus enseñanzas. Necesitamos más gente que viva sus vidas liberadas. Más en América latina
I think I understand where you are going with the idea of not having a motive. This is of upmost importance to me. I thank you for sharing it but for me having a motive or direction in life is like a set of clothes. I need to wear clothes to function in society. I have the awareness that at any point that I may need to change my clothes and that would be wonderful too. Like a redecorating of my personality. I am thankful for how far I have come.
Ok, question for everyone reading this- I'm a 48 year old woman dealing with hair loss. This is definitely painful to my ego. While there are options out there in order to combat this, does what Michael Singer is saying, mean I should not do anything about it because it would be coming from a place of trying to change what is happening? I'm curious to hear people's thoughts. Thank you.
Hiya, I think he's saying that the behaviour is not the issue, more that if you take your ego too seriously you will be led all over the place trying to appease it. The more you can see it for what it is, the more you will naturally lose interest in following it about.
@@robwicke1709 Thanks for your input. I am definitely trying to gently (haha) release my tight grip on my ego self and make decisions from a more loving and accepting place within. So easy to accept, love and be non-judgmental towards others, but when it comes to the self, always seems like that's another story! Thanks again!
@@briannahaggerty783 you are not your feelings, your thoughts, your body (the unterthed soul, chapt 3) or your hair. At any time your body can just stop. You are not it. If you are uncomfortable with the feelings inside you, you need to concentrate there, on that, before trying to do anything else. Your hair could grow back, you could wear a wig, you could get past this moment and be comfortable being bald, but how long until something else comes along that you can't control, what then? We have all met people who have something going on that seemingly doesn't cause them distress, compared to someone who does. I think we should aspire to being just us. Be done with what everyone else thinks, does, etc.
@@macrobriefing Thank you for this reminder. All of those points you mention, did go through my mind and I'm glad you reiterated them when I needed to hear it again.
There must be a process or contiuum here, as it makes sense this doesn't happen all at once. I am aware of the process having begun and continuing in me. It would be interesting to hear Michael speak about being in the process and how he works within it to get to done. Anyone else have thoughts about this?
I had the same thought process. Does it boil down to the ability to "let it go" whatever "it" is, thoughts, circumstances other people's actions? I often get lost when I feel disrespected , just ego right?

He used the example of imagining your house disappeared and your neighbors didn't know you. Yeah, obviously you're going to freak out unless maybe you're Yogananda, that's not like if someone says something mean to you.
