One can never know, but I imagine they might be headliners of festivals today. The band is great and I've really enjoyed their last two albums, but Dave had IT man. Once they lost Dave, they were basically starting over at that point. This show really exemplifies why Dave, even though he was only famous for little over a year, left such a huge mark. It's a damn shame really.
I think they'd still be up there with the likes of Korn and Slipknot. I'm a giant fan of both and I could see Drowning Pool still touring with them had they not lost Dave.
Amazing, almost 20 years anniversary of the Sinner album. Dave would be so proud.. Hope he's having a great time with Dime, Lemmy and the others. Rest in peace Dave!
Dave is a legend and is no doubt having one hell of a gig with Lemmy, Dimebag and all the other greats. Drowning Pool hasn't been the same since his passing.
Dude had so much vocal power. His energy on stage is pretty incredible, you could tell he loved it. It's a damn shame he died. Sinner is a hell of an album to leave behind, but I'd have loved to hear where they would have gone with Dave. Jasen Moreno, their current singer, is also fantastic though. The last two albums they put out were pretty great, Resilience and Hellelujah.
It's so unfair, with one of the best heavy metal albums, and a year later he passes away, I can't imagine the amount of incredible work he would have done apart from bodies ...
@@alex.c.pulickal that’s why I’m especially perplexed by this shitty crowd. Rock AM Ring always brings it with their crowds especially around this era so it makes me wonder why this crowd is especially dead
RIP Dave! Had a voice of heart and passion. I can't imagine how much bigger Drowning pool would've been today if Dave never passed. We would be talking about them the same way we talk about Korn and Slipknot. Taken way too soon. 🙏🙏🤘🤘
God Dave was a killer frontman who sadly had a hole in his heart and died on his tour bus before showing much of his talent to us RIP. Your know your a badass when Dime nicknames you the stage
I remember being like 13 when I first discovered these guys. An now I realize that I'm 32 and have out lived Dave. Makes me so sad and feel strange in a way. Love Drowning Pool
I was just thinking this too. I'm a gen z and even I get down better than that, I guess my parents taught me well. And I've met CJ, Dave will always be my favorite DP singer 😢
DP's Sinner Album was the first album I ever bought with my own money.... Money well spent this band made me fall in love with heavy metal I'm sure Dave is looking down from the greatest stage of all heaven so proud of his brothers... A lot of Christians believe heavy metal is satanic imo that's ridiculous as there are Christian heavy metal and rock bands (skillet for example) does that make me a bad person or a bad Christian? No it doesn't you CAN be a Christian AND a heavy metal/rock lover you don't have to choose
Tear away at 21:37 will always, ALWAYS get me with how heavy his voice sounds in the opening and how much he puts into bringing it hard at the end of the set
I was at ozzfest Indianapolis the day he died. Blazing hot summer muggy sun in Indy. During the show, he wasn't at his full best but still good. And after there was whispers something happened. No one knew what though. It wasn't until late that night at 1am that my parents told me and bestie he was dead. No one at the Indy show thought anything bad it wasn't until they moved the tour bus to states away, they noticed he had been dead for a long time. It's very sad they should of just rushed him to the Indy main hospital just to check they would of noticed his heart issue.
I've seen so many bands live, and while drowning pool weren't my favorite of the bunch, I liked them. Till this day, however, Dave was the best live vocalist I've ever seen. He sounded better without the production and put on a show with a ton of energy, and really seemed to be having a good time. I seen them at ozzfest July 10th of 02, and left absolutely looking forward to catching them again.....I mean, what a fucking performance.... about the time they came on was when every ass left the seats. A month later my grandmother bumped into what was shamefully, barely a footnote, in the news, about his death. Only caught her eye because I have an uncle with the same name, so she asked if I knew who he was, after reading he was in a metal band. What a bummer that was. It's a shame to see he doesn't get mentioned nearly enough anymore..... drowning pool may not have been the absolute best of the Era, but Dave was easily in the top few vocalists of the Era.
That band is so underrated at least where im from 😁 i bought that album when it got out and at one point fell in more extrême music like punk, grindcore and death metal but whenever i come back to that record i love it even more and now that ive been à musician for almost 20 years i found another side to it but it still bring the same things in me as before, that album is the soundtrack of my pityful life and i enjoy every second of it
Am I the only one that really really relates to his lyrics? Like I relate to most rock/metal. That’s why I listen to it. But Dave/ the band writes amazingly.
I wish it went like this 01. Sinner 02. All Over Me 03. I Am 04. Mute 05. Reminded 06. Pity 07. Told You So 08. Tear Away 09. Follow 10. Sermon 11. Bodies
Tearing away like a Bunker ready to collapse. Devils Trill. That song would sound sick with sime electric violin and or a regular one wit electric pickup.
3 months after this performance we'd lose this legend... Really smacks you in the face with the reality of the fragility of life...
RIP Dave "The Stage" Williams.
I wonder how big they could have been if they hadn't lost Dave Williams.

They surely had an enormous potential
I think they'd still be up there with the likes of Korn and Slipknot. I'm a giant fan of both and I could see Drowning Pool still touring with them had they not lost Dave.
DP had that attitude like Pantera. So... big, very big
Headlining metal festivals with the likes of Slipknot and Disturbed, no doubt.
The album sinner is still a gem in my cd rack,...listened to it today,..
Quality album. Every track is acomplished. Miss Dave!
Agree an absolute banger of the 2000s (2000-2009)
One of the very few albums I like all the tunes from!
Commenting again to say that album gets me through work these days haha
Daves voice is killer both in melodic and screaming . Rip brother \m/
Probably like disturbed who knows
„See you next time” :(
Dave had a lot of Phil Anselmo on his performance. Quality as fuck, Drowning Pool's future would've been very different if he'd lived,
They would’ve been headliners for tours and festivals, no doubt.
Dave read the bible of anselmo from front to back many times, no doubt about that. Amazing stage presence
The vocal technique was similar too
That crowd didn't deserve Dave. Hes my favorite singer of all time. The sinner album to me is the best album ever made from an art perspective.
Stop it… it’s get but it’s not the best ever and that’s a fact
@@bmark7951 it is one of the best. Their newer albums suck and just follow stupid softer trends. It’s just sh*t.
I hope that in these 3 years you've broadended your taste just a little.

Dave always killed every performance, he gave it his all every time! Long live the memory he left behind!
Bunch of ungrateful crowd. They don’t know how lucky they were to see a legend at work. RIP
Yeah. Rock am ring shows always have some crazy people but this really disappointed me . Anyways the band was on fire till the end.
is so true there a bunch of pussy fools
@Taga Cale unlike most people, i wouldn't go to concerts to jump around, i would go there to see how they sound live compared to the studio version.
That's because they were discovering it.
@@alex.c.pulickal that’s why I’m especially perplexed by this shitty crowd. Rock AM Ring always brings it with their crowds especially around this era so it makes me wonder why this crowd is especially dead
They never rercovered. If not for that they would've been among the greatest from that generation to this day.
what a fucking powerful voice
This whole concert looks like they killed it. I would’ve loved to have been there for it. Rip Dave.
This band sounds so freaking good it's unbelievible
The entire album is perfect.
7:52 Mike Luce (almost?) spitting at the camera guy and saying "whoops"...XD
Great album.
Haven't been able to get into DP since that first record. Everything changed after Dave's passing. This is MY Drowning Pool!🤘
Dave really had a great clean and screaming voice. Wish I could have heard a nice solid heavy follow up to their debut with Williams still on vocals.
This is honestly the best I have seen of this band
