One thing I should of addessed as a takeaway at the end is that most of my work rifles I utilize I do not have the luxury of using Ambi controls and or changing those parts out; so rolling my index finger grove down on the safety instead of rolling my thumb back and fourth is what I will be practicing from here on out!

Lefty shooter, ambi safety selector is your friend. Also an ambi mag release, you are spending a lot of time by pressing the mag release with your right hand to then grab your other magazine when you could be doing them simultaneously if you had an ambi mag release.
A Magpul BAD lever would/could help a lot as well!

Something that is overlooked by a lot of guys is sling placement, notice at 3:55 bro had a hard time getting that mag swapped cause his sling was in his way

@@Excalibur01ehh. That’s a really antiquated saying. Yes if you’re starting to learn you should go slow and build up speed. But once you have your fundamentals down. Slow is just slow. You’ll never go over your threshold and break a plateau if you stay “smooth”. You need to push for speed.

To be smooth with your movements, you need to start slow. Know your body and your equipment so you can get through the motion. Don't just be fast on the reload just to be fast. It has to be smooth in the motion, which will go along with being fast.
It's like driving a car. It isn't about pressing hard on the gas to get you fast. Oh you'll get somewhere FAST, but it isn't gonna be pretty
@@Excalibur01 The problem with the saying is that a lot of people take it to heart and end up never pushing their speed.
I agree with the saying, and it is true that speed comes from getting rid of wasted movement, and you need to perfect the action by practicing at a slower, smoother speed. But if you don't actually ever go fast, you won't be going fast.
Though going fast and messing up will often be slower than going slower and not messing up.

I finally bought a Griffin suppressor. I ordered the HRT 5.56 which is way over kill for me but I wanted something that was borderline indestructible cuz the NFA tax sucks to pay repeatedly. I also wanted the sturdy duel lok mount and an fde suppressor so yeah, HRT 556. I'm excited, I did the "silencers to your door" option and the guys at Capitol Armory have been REALLY outgoing.

Lefty here. Mojo's hand safety flick is the objectively correct way.
Lefty input: dude should just convert the rifle to all ambi controls. I run an ambi selector switch, mag release, bolt release, and charging handle
Lefty shooter here. I did the knuckle roll (or whatever you call that technique) for a while because I didn't want to ambi-up my rifle ("no left-handed guns in the jungle").
Unfortunately I no longer believe it's a good technique, because it involves sweeping your hand backward to put the gun on safe and/or using your trigger finger in a pulling motion on the safety. Since fine motor skills disappear and sympathetic nervous system take over under time and physicial stress, this led me to an ND (and my first ever match DQ) when I was thought I was safeing the gun.
I now fully believe in an ambi or lefty safety lever for this reason.

I would say with those high pistol shots, he was offsetting his pistol at the same distance he would offset his rifle. Something to think about going from red dot rifle immediately into red dot pistol.

Hey love the videos, just a quick question, been watching a lot of videos recently, including some older ones, and something caught my eye. Does your department not require you to run back up iron sights for your rifles? Every time I see your rifle I’m not seeing them on there unless I’m just blind. If your department does require them do you have another way of having back up irons?

MOJO, I'm a LEO in TX and find because of my high grip. Anything with a long or extended slide release (Walther, HK ,etc) is troublesome, in that my control hand is always activating it, so I don't get slide lock. Have you noticed any issues with your control hand activating the extended slide stop?
What mag pouch is on your belt? And are you still rocking the defense mechanism belt? I ended up buying one for police works a while back since you recommended it.
