Awesome stuff! I've been trying to build an electric go cart for about a year now and I've loved every minute of it! Yes, even the fires. Haha. As of last week, my highest speed was 35 MPH using a 3 hp treadmill motor with 200 volts, DC, running through it. (10 20 volt DeWalt drill batteries.... Yeah.) The motor is rated for 110 DC volts but so far no issues with overheating. When I hit go, I'll ride wheelies. I have no speed control. It's all or nothing. If you have any advice on how to improve on my current system, I'll take it! It would be much appreciated. Keep up the awesome work. I'd love to take one of those karts for a spin!
I use to race in the world carting association with a modified Briggs and Stratton 5 horsepower engine cart cost max 2g my dad probably had 4gs tops in it total . I can't believe the price tags on these cart or I guess I could see this is where it was heading the kids i raced with back in the early 90s went on to drive monster trucks and Formula one racing cars
Robert Higgins I'm sure they could have them shipped if you're truly interested go to www.memogidley.com he is their team manager and I'm sure that he could direct you in the right way
Jesus had a long hair when he died at age 33. Whats the issue ? Besides most 17 year olds have a strict Dad like you so all has military haircut. He is finally living his own free life and letting it go. Some like it long, some short.
I want to convert one of my shifters to electric.. any setup suggestions?

Try and find a controller from a golf cart they can handle that power with ease
You need a controller XD since you are using a DC Motor you need a suitable controller ..you can't use 3ph brushless controllers
I learned more from the intro than school
Everybody does
to be fair this is interesting and school never was.

don't worry .. they still race Briggs powered karts today that still are sensibly priced.
That looks as slow as a hard shit on a bad day. Painful slow.
What type of motor is used in this karts?
I think they said Zero motorcycle?
ZF75-7. That would be the older SPM version.
That looks a fantastic cart. Are they available in the UK?

Did you manage to get one? Or have you built your own?
WOW.
What's with that hair? Mate...get a haircut. You're not 17 anymore.

Hahah since when does your hair style correlate with your age?
